A guy was hunted by police for hugging a girl...

Quote:Quote:

"The female victim stated while walking to Ellis Library she passed an unknown individual who then turned, came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her, putting her in a 'bear hug,'" the Clery release stated.

The woman attempted to free herself but was unable to. The incident ended when the suspected saw an unidentified individual approaching them. The suspect freed her and said, “Oh, I thought you were someone else‚” before fleeing the scene, the release stated.

"Fleeing the scene," like he raped her and had to run away.

This also seems to be the guy who asked a girl "Do I know you?" She felt threatened and alerted the authorities, which released a composite sketch of the man and put out a $1,500 reward for his capture..

Turns out they nabbed the guy for "third degree assault." His name is forever ruined on Google and it's possible he may be put on a sex offender database.

This persecution of men is very real. Beware of any openers that involve touching outside of a nightclub environment. To make sure a girl is not "threatened", stick to indirect openers in public.

(looks like this is becoming reality)

I think we have to draw a line between having bad game and being crazy. I'm not saying that some "crazy" people wouldn't be considered normal in olden times, but I'd be fucking scared if some guy I didn't know came up behind me and started hugging me. What the fuck is that?

All this is going to do is push game more into the realm of the social circle. The days of casual bar pick up are coming to an end. Women need to feel safe. They want a safe alpha guy not some "rando" or "creeper".

There was another thread about about bars becoming casual places for people to hang out instead of places to meet people. I see this happening everyday. It's the strip-malling effect. When is the last time you got a number from a girl in a Friday's or Applebee's? Probably never I'm guessing. Try it and see how fast you get shut down.

My friend complains about this in his tattoo shop. Women are coming in getting pierced and tattooed and bringing their kids in there with strollers. It's unreal. He tells them all the time that it's not a fucking day care center. It also doesn't help that tattoo shops are in every strip mall these days.

Nah- this is an exaggeration. Bars will go out of biz if that happens.

LOL police sketch vs actual suspect. He appears to have magically changed race and become more alpha in the second pic

This is another example of punishment for hitting on ugly girls in low class areas. If you hit on a hot chick in New York, without running up and "hugging her" there is a 0% chance she'll run to the police. Why? Hot girls take being hit on as a complement, the ugly ones get offended.

Either way, even if you fuck up get caught in a couple white lies or whatever, the last thing she has time for is running to the police for something as harmless as "hey how do you cook these"

Finally, if you spend at least 1 year working on your looks, you will be attractive enough that she will always feel happy you hit on her. That simple.

Haha...he grabbed her and wouldn't let go when she tried to break free. That's a bit more than running bad game. Is he really surprised that she called the cops? Hell, if some random stranger came up and started bear-hugging me, not allowing me to break free, I'd feel threatened, too.

Granted, calling something like that "assault" is a bit silly, but the fool should've known he'd get in trouble for something like that.

I think it's a bit much to take one incident as proof of widespread "persecution". Most of us here have probably run some kind of direct game on women. If these kinds of incidents were widespread enough to qualify mass persecution, a lot more of us would have gotten in trouble with the law by now.

I've noticed the people under 25 definitely have this sort of insular sort of vibe even guys I've worked with. This one kid was saying how this random guy asked his group of friends at a bar a question about the beer and insisted he was a weirdo because of that. Granted the kid in question is a total tool. In the US, safety is an important factor because men are protrayed as rapists, weirdos, etc.

I think a lot of it has to do with vibe. Where I am social circles run deep cause people never leave, so when you cold approach you're even more of an outsider. This sometimes works for me, and sometimes against me.

While I like to think I'm a likeable guy and rarely get the 'creeper' label(I'm sure it's happened before), early in the conversation I still throw in some 'safety game' to put the girls more at ease. I have a reserved, very chill type of game where girls see me as non threatening, and before they know it I'm fucking their brains out.

For example, if we're talking about different bars I have a 'friend who used to work at x' sometimes this is totally made up.

I also talk about my family and relatives who are from certain cities/towns etc.

Or I'll throw in a phrase like 'Yeah, he's a pretty cool bartender, I think his name is blah, me and my friend come here every few weeks'

This seems like little stuff, but in her mind it builds safety and trust. I mean here you are a guy who is volunteering friends places of employment, you seem to know the staff, and you have family in the area. How can you not be safe?

It sounds dumb we have to take this measures, but lots of girls are paranoid of anyone outside of their social circle. Guys are demonized in the media, and they assume you're a weirdo if they don't know you.

I'm pretty confident that guys here wouldn't make women feel threatened, but we have to know that game techniques like touching a girl can be seen as illegal in the wrong context.

Thanks to the Bang & DayBang book, I have learned to avoid theese siturations, Thanks for the guideline put out to fuckin freaks!

It's happening.

I can't have sex with your personality, and I can't put my penis in your college degree, and I can't shove my fist in your childhood dreams, so why are you sharing all this information with me?

Scary shit. Is it inappropriate? Sure. Should he be told to fuck off? Yeah.

But is it worth ruining a man's life forever ('cause that's what an assault charge and your name on a Sex Offender's list means) over a HUG? That's simple insanity.

That police sketch looks one hell of a lot like Vinny from Jersey Shore.

Hugging a total stranger without their consent is at minimum a battery. This is common law and would have been the same result in the 1950s even before the craziness of feminism and PC.
