Before I waste my time dropping some SEO heat on here, I want to see how many people actually want to see some serious takeaways from the agency, vitamin, rehab, and uber-dark spam spaces.

Im especially interested in SEO as it can be used in foreign language markets that don't have a lot of competition. A lot of foreign markets are underdeveloped and one can easily scoop up a large market share with basic SEO. Getting ranked in more popular niches is a lot easier in places where the majority of sites are still being developed with Flash.

I need to learn SEO. It's a valuable tool in Internet Marketing.
People that are well versed in IM are able to make money without waking up early in the morning to do it. Yeah its not a cool career job like fighting airplaines, but it's money to be made.
The first 10 dollars that I made online was for writing articles for porn sites. So that 10 dollars turns to a thirst for a 100 dollars. Which then turns to a thirst for more money.
Current IM project I am doing is one with tk. We could PM you more about it if you'd like to know more.
Nope.

I was into SEO a while back, bult me a little affiliate site, drove traffic to it and made a couple of grands (well ... two grands, but EUROs mussafuggas) that way.
Personally I think SEO is played out after all the google updates and whatnot. I wanted to build a whole ring of sites and cash in on it but afte the updates I dont bother anymore, as the tactics I used are played out now and theres more and more ppl jumping onto the bandwagon. My niche was virginal and untouched when I came in 2009 now there are SEVERAL competitors and they have really quality sites with professionally done videos and all that stuff. With the way google is going its only gonna get harder for small independet guys. They want to make the internet just like the offline world and that means big players will dominate while small fishes will get pushed out of business! Personally I think the golden days of Internet Marketing, where you could slap together a site, rank it and make a load of cash are over. I switched to online freelancing and so far it seems pretty good! I think its the easiest and fastest way to make money online though of course its not passive income and basically like a job. But its location independent and you can manage your time as you wish so its still ten times better than an office job.
The good thing is the stuff I learnt helped me score a position in a startup company doing working in their SEO team. Im gonna start in 2 weeks and Im interested in how the big guys are doing it. Propably nothing out of the ordinary though, I had an interview with another SEO company who does campaigns for some of the biggest players in my country and they said all they were doing was strictly whitehat. I was a bit letdown I thought they had some crazy tactics going on there that noone was aware of.

This is what's happening...
I am forgoing Halloween weekend to build out 5 lead gen websites in 5 different markets, which means I'm building 5 websites about "city seo services" 5 different ways. I have a degree in writing and this shit still blows after doing it twice (thankfully beer makes me better at this).
Since this forum needs this, I'll create an SEO masterthread where we can share what we're doing, what's working, etc. etc.
Give me a bit of time and I'll throw together some good shit.
If you have a specific problem, list it here. I won't address it on the new thread, but I promise I'll get to it in subsequent posts on the other thread.
