Chest/Pecs workout

Does anyone know some effective exercises to build mass & definition on the outer bottom corners of the chest/pectoral muscles. I've done everything from different types of pushups, inclines, declines, flys, etc. but can't seem to get any results on the corners and bottom area of my pecs. I'm even trying wide grip pullups with some light results..

Did you try dips? While that seems to bulk up the lats more so, maybe it's what you're missing.

I have never heard of dips bulking up the lats. Arnold did weighted dips and had a great chest. Dips contribute to getting a more separated chest. Adding cable crossovers is good move as well. Bench press, Incline dumbells or barbells add the foundation, flyes and dip help to mould and refine the chest more. Another favourite of Arnold's was dumbell pullovers.

Doing dips might just do it. I've done 'em but not the right kind & not significantly enough. The dips I usually do are with my legs up front and my arms behind me - mostly good for isolating my triceps. I've done flys using cable crossovers - I feel them on my inside chest corners but get no significant results. Thanks guys.

Look up gironda dips. Changed the shape of my chest completely. I swear by them.

And look up everything else on weight training by Vince Gironda. They don't call him the iron guru for nothing.

Sounds like you have to do more flyes, you may also need to start doing more incline exercises to work lower chest.

Decline press for lower pec definition. about 4 sets of 6-10 reps. It's also less traumatic on your shoulders when compared to dips. Try using dumbbells early on to even out any asymmetries you might in strength.

If you're not growing, you're dying.

Is there a specific way to do dips that they hit the pecs better? I do weighted dips and I find that I feel them way more in my arms/tris, then I do in my pecs. I'm sure my pecs are getting some work, but I don't feel that I really 'hit' them.

Cross your legs in front of you and tuck your chin into your upper chest to hit the pecs and tris.

Legs behind you will hit mainly the tris..
