Body Composition Coaching

Hey guys-

This is just a thought right now, but let me pitch you gentlemen to get your thoughts on a potential business/hobby.

I lived in Spain a couple years ago to go to school and travel around Europe. I didn't have a work visa but obviously I wanted some spending scratch for traveling and just enjoying myself.

I have modeled athleticwear and have done "male-stripping" like gigs like shirtless bartending and promotions; of which, you obviously need to be in the upper percentile of physiques. So I would say getting and maintaining a muscular, low-fat frame is a skill of mine.

I advertised my services in the gym(s) I attended abroad and did quite well with a few clients (both monetarily on my part and physically on theirs). I worked with them on their diets and how to perform certain exercises. After the initial period of teaching them the basics, almost all interaction I had with my clients was via skype, email, and telephone calls. Essentially I helped them when they were at a stand still and troubleshot ways for them to get to the next level.

This all made me start thinking. If I could continue to help my spanish clients while living in the states, why could I not help others around the states as well in the same manner.

What I am thinking here (work with me on this): is gathering all of my client write-ups together (on diet, insulin sensitivity, training, etc.) and creating others of value, and distribute them to my clients. Meanwhile, I would develop an excel spreadsheet for each client to track progress and evaluate goals on a monthly/weekly basis as we see fit.

I have quite an unusual approach to fitness, of which, could be considered "minimalist", meaning, sometimes less is more. I don't believe in starving oneself or eating salad/water all day either. I've developed and honed a strategy of which even pounding down pizzas and going to buffets at certain intervals can be of benefit.

The caveat here is that prospective clients would need to have the internal motivation to enhance their physique (whether it be muscle acquisition or fat-loss) as I would not be there to "hold their hand". I would offer the technical aspects as well as the know-how, with my phone number, email, and skype to contact me as they see fit. I may also start a blog in which I deliver gandolf-like nuggets of nutritional wisdom once or twice a week and can give my clients access to this blog as well.

This weekend I will have some free time to begin the documents in question, which essentially outline my own fitness goals and aspirations as well as my credentials and resume as a reference to my experience. It will also cover the basic premise of how to initiate the process and get the fitness ball rolling. After the basics are covered, it will be individual tailoring to the clients for obvious personal goals.

With this being said, would anyone here be willing to give this a shot as a beta tester? No, not beta or alpha as fuck, but a couple people willing to try my service for free and provide me with feedback and how much to charge should the service deem of value to the general public.

I think it'd be a win-win situation for myself as well as some other RVF members who would like to enhance their personal experience for game and personal purposes. Roosh did a post a couple weeks ago on muscles/physique and I can't speak enough truth to it. My game has never needed a very hard push as most of the time I'm approached at the beach/gym/etc. Any guy with a body can attest to that. I'm not being arrogant; just perpetuating the theory of attraction outlined on this forum a couple of times.

if you guys have any advice or comments; let a brotha know.

Thanks guys,
-Your chubby (ironic, I know).

Hey guys,

For those of you who are serious about changing your body, whether it be muscle gain or fat-loss, send me a PM describing yourself (age, weight, height, goals, lifestyle, etc.)

If it seems like we would work well together we can get this ball rolling.

Like I said, I need dedicated individuals. I'm very passionate about what I do and the same about my success and yours. If you're willing to put in the work we can get this done.

Still welcome to any more comments or suggestions on how to go about this. -Chubby

Here's a couple of guys doing a somewhat simlar service as your business idea; http://www.michaelelias.com/
http://www.ithinkfit.com
http://www.biolayne.com/
http://www.teamskip.net/MAINSITE2.html

I think the problems with theese kinds of services often is that the trainer has no idea of the real training competence of the client in question, and therefore may suggest excersices that are not optimal, clean jerk for a newbie that's never done a deadlift is not excactly good in my mind.. You'll need to work out various ways to question the client in order for you to get a clear picture of his/hers current experience..

There's also the problem that in order for you to do your job as a trainer you need to get weekly measures of all clients, this can often be neglected and can be a potential problem in order to make the correct adjustments to ensure a clients success.

Lifting technique is also a problem.. May I suggest you perhaps put up instructional videos on most excercises if you choose to go through with this?

Getting in that kind of shape requires absurd dedication and perseverance never missing a meal/workout/ no alcohol/ Knowing your own body's limits etc

The people who have that kind of drive are unlikely to need real help, i just don't see the market being that big?

pics of muscular, low-fat frame?

I have seen so many "trainers" that don't have a physique anyone would want.

Good idea on the instructional videos as well. That can definately be done and uploaded to the blog and archived.

Chief- what I have noticed is a lot of people who are in the gym (more often than myself) who have ambition/motivation but are simply retarded in reference to the way they train and diet.

The crux of my technique is not so much a nazi diet but more along the lines of meal/training timing, insulin manipulation, and increasing testosterone while decreasing leptin.

I drink alcohol 1-2x a week as well, as have some of my clients across the pond in Europe (almost nightly).

Couldn't agree more. It's like hiring a felon to be a sheriff or an arsonist to be a firefighter.

Think abercrombie physique with a little more muscle and a little less gay stares off into the distance.

I would have zero issues with being an alpha tester. I know nothing about insulin resistance or liptin, and am looking for a change in my diet anyway.

Okay- I'm piecing together a couple of people who I think would work well; couple of younger guys lookin' to gain muscle and some older gents who would like to lose fat. I'm just trying to diversify testers.

I will get back to your PM's shortly when I think I have found those who would be a good fit.

I'd be into trying this out!

My fitness level is probably my weakest link at the moment and having a pretty negative effect on my stamina, sex drive, confidence, and overall wellbeing. I was getting somewhere with convict conditioning but fell off 3 weeks ago when I took a family member down to stanford medical center and then came back to have my back go out. Just started back on it today.

Hit me up if you're still looking for takers.

If you are still looking for beta testers (especially in different regions), I can be one from EE. [Image: wink.gif]
