Hey guys,

I'm going to Cebu in April for a week. I love hanging at the beach but just saw online that there apparently aren't any good beaches near Cebu City. Is this true?
I was under the impression that it was a place I could go to the beach in the daytime and party all night in the city where the girls are.

So now I'm wondering if I should jaunt out to Malapascua or Bantayan for a couple days? They are apparently awesome beaches from what I read, but I don't really want to go and sit on a beach by myself for two or three days. Are there lots of girls in these areas to game (day or night)? Or should I try to get one to take with me while I'm there?

Any advice appreciated.

The beach area in Cebu is on Mactan island, in Lapu-Lapu city, near the Cebu airport. I spent a night there a was supposed to go diving on Mactan but decided to leave. Couldn't find a decent hotel within my budget, most of them were resorts on the beach. The hotel I stayed at in Lapu Lapu was decent but the location was ghetto and near nothing of interest. The next day, I didn't feel like driving around and checking out hotels so I just said fuck it and took a bus to Malapascua. Don't go to Malapascua unless you dive, even then there's better options, Dumaguete is an excellent one.

I'm going to write more about Malapascua and Dumaguete in 20nation's ultimate Philippines thread, so keep an eye on that. I'm going to Bohol tommorrow, I'll be in the Philippines until May so let me know when you get here and maybe we can meet up.

I just got off the phone with my friend and this is how it's going to be set up. I'm arriving in Manila on Saturday night, he's arriving Monday night. Then his flight leaves Manila on the following Friday morning (very early) and mine on the Sunday (very early). This means I've got two days book on each end of his visit.

He said that he's all about the girls and that the beach is secondary so he's not too worried about there being no good beach in Cebu. From everything I've read here and on other blogs, Cebu seems to be THE place for girls. I just want to make sure - is it worth the extra time and effort to go or should we just stay in Manila? Just how different is it for picking up? We are both interested in living like rock stars for a couple of days so if it's "slugging it out in Manila" vs "all you gotta do is show up in Cebu", then we're going to Cebu. But if both places are "you just gotta show up" then we might as well stay in Manila and saver ourselves the time and effort.

But that leaves me with two days to do whatever I want, alone, before and after he's there. I was thinking of hopping a place to a paradise on earth type of beach and just chill. While I don't mind making girls the secondary focus for the beach visit - it would be more fun if whatever awesome beach I go to also had a shitload of easy girls to choose from.

I've been through this entire thread and 20Nation's as well, but damn there's just so much here that I'm thoroughly confused about where to go now. Cebu? Manila? Somewhere else? haha.

Assuming my friend and I do go to Cebu for the time we're together, Alaya mall is the place to day game, right? My budget is not too bad, I think. I'm willing to do about $50 a night for a nice room though I'd prefer to save on that if I can get something not much different for a cheaper price. Looks like a lot of 4-stars are going for just a bit more than that.

If money is not an issue, then go to Manila. If money is tight, then go to Cebu. Things are much chepaer in Cebu than in Manila. Plus Manila is one gigantic shithole of a megalopolis and getting around town can take a long time. Specially during rush hours or when it rains. Plus cabbies in Manila are more prone to rip you off than in Cebu. In Cebu actually, never had one dishonest cabbie. As long as you make sure they are using their meter that is.

Main advantage to Manila I'd say would be the sheer number of girls, not only from there but from all over the country going there for work. Best thing would be to pipeline some girls online on dia (dateinasia.com) or if you want a higher calibre of girls, head to cherryblossoms.com or filipinacupid.com (about 30$/month).

For clarification, when you say "if money is not an issue", just how much of a difference are we talking about? My friend is flat broke and I'm not all that better off right now.
Basically, we are budgeting around $50 each/night for hotel and from what I can see on the net, food, drinks and dates shouldn't add up to much more than another $20 or $30 a day max.
Of course, cheaper is better so if we find something decent for $25/night each and can get away with cheaper food/drinks/dates, then great.
How much over our budget would Manila add up to be you think?

And when you say Manila, you mean Makati? It seems to be the only place worth going to from what I've read.

Anyway, not to be pedantic but IYO, all other things being equal, Manila is overall better if you're not too much of a cheap bastard? And Cebu is a reasonable alternative, albeit inferior, for those on a tight budget?

I'm not a Manila expert as I only stayed there for 3 days with a buddy who had done all the work (read pipelining and he just hooked me up with girls he knew) but I've spent 3 weeks in Cebu. What I meant about the budget thing, your money will go a lot further in Cebu than in Manila in both hotels and food wise. And Cebu is maybe 1/10 in size of Manila but still has a big enough female population to make it worth and to make it a literal pussy paradise if done properly (that is by pipelining or staying there and day gaming the hell out of it). On the money/budget aspect, while this being the PI, unless you live there or have local friends to show you around and take you to the best places with the best bang for the buck, 50 bucks a day in Manila will be tough and rough while it will be very doable in Cebu.

Makati is the nicer area of Manila, but again, I'm not a Manila expert at all so can't really comment on venues nor areas to stay at or to party at. Having said that I keep reading/hearing that Ermitas is where nightlife is located.

Just head out to dia.com, whip out an account and you will be flooded with response from girls and you should have a nice list in a day or 2 of working the site. Also, I'd do the trick that the boys did in the other Phils mega thread (20 Nation and THC) by writing their number on a piece of paper/napkin and handing it out to any girl that strikes your fancy. Even the very hot ones that appear with their noses up in the air. It really is a numbers game.

Then first friend goes home and 2nd friend and I hit Bohol for two nights. 1st friend is all amped up with all the attention he's getting on DIA. I have a feeling we won't be hanging out together all that much. LOL

The main city in Bohol is Tagbilaran, you'll arrive there after a two hour ferry ride from Cebu. The city is a bit of a dump, not much to do although the night club there is pretty good, its called Atmosphere and its inside the Metro Center Hotel.

Best bet would be to take a tricycle directly to Alona Beach. You could try day game or online to get a girl from Tagbilaran, or better yet, get a girl from Cebu to go there with you.

I don't want to write an essay so I'll just boil it down.

Got to Boracay and checked in very late, nearly 3:30am, and quite tired but didn't want to miss out on possible action so went out to a nearby beach bar. On my 2nd drink, I see a girl eyeing me so I smile and wave her to come over. She's shy and waves me over. I go. I tell her to bring them along - as a joke. She talks to her friends and says if we go up to Stn 3, there is a money changer open there. I tell her I don't have ANYTHING on me other than my currency so I can't even pay for the trike. She says they'll take care of it. OK, hop in and go.

We get there and... no money changers open. Started talking to a couple of guys - no idea who they were - and talked one guy into changing $100 for me. Now I've got 4000 pesos. Cool. Girl says why don't we go into one of the bars for a drink? I'm like, ok, sure. We sit down, there are four or five of us, and the waiter comes to take all our orders. I'm afraid I know where this is going so I tell my chubby girl I'll pay for her drink but not the whole table. She says ok and orders. Waiter comes back and I give him money while motioning that it's for me and her. Everyone looks at me like I'm an asshole and says, what? You're not paying for everyone? I said no, I told you that when we ordered. WTF? So she gets pissed off, says that they have nothing and that if I don't pay they can't stay. Pushes her drink away and leaves with her friends. Waiter is like, what just happened? I told him the money was now for just my drink. The other drinks, he can do whatever he wants with them. He takes my money and make me wait 15 minutes for my change, comes back and gives me shit for not knowing the situation before ordering. LOL

I finish my drink, went outside to look for more talent (bar was almost empty), didn't find any so I took a trike to my room and went to bed. Fell asleep to the sound of roosters crowing all around the neigborhood. LOL

So I struck out on my first night but I'm so tired at this point I don't care. Plus, I'm not going to beat myself up for not scoring from a two-hour night out. I've still got one more day in Boracay, one more night, and then I'm off to Cebu for a few days.

03.30 is too late even for Boracay, unless it´s Friday/Saturday. Anyway... you should start out at Cocomangas (station 1) Now this is a place full of prostitutes but it always gives me a nice kickstart! Have a few drinks, and dance then head just across the street and check out that place, when done walk the beach-side heading for station 2. When I got to the beach bar, there were still a lot of people there and along the beach but there seemed to be a lot of mixed-sex groups and I wasn't into trying to break them open. Bottom line:

Although my experience with DIA was not at all like yours. A lot of girls DO look different than their pics though. That's why you need to get them to send you a ton more pics or better yet, get her on cam. I got mine on cam and they actually ended up looking even better than in the pics. I got one or two that looks atrocious though. Cam is king. As for the ladyboys, they are always straight up with me and disclose in their first message to me. Always. Nice report Wayout, sounds like you're having a good time there in Cebu, I wasn't a huge fan of the city but it is a gold mine for Cebuana girls. I wasn't a fan of online dating there either as I had much better results with day/night game, but if you want to give it another try, I suggest you follow 20nation's online tips, the guy mastered the art of online dating in SEA, you can find that info here.

If you still have some free time in Cebu, I suggest that you check out Dumaguete, its only a 4 hour ferry ride from Cebu and it was one of my favorite places in the Philippines. Lots of girls there, about 30,000 students (a quarter of the city's population), nice beaches, islands and waterfalls, only down side is that the night life isn't the greatest. I'd like to see more RVF guys check it out to see how they like it. I wrote a report on it which you can find here.

You can also find some decent beaches on Mactan island, near the cebu airport, just go to a resort and tell them you're in a random room number so you can get in for free, good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you for info guys - I might actually check out Dumaguete, sounds like a nice city. And thanks for the tip about resorts in Macatan. Some girls mentioned that to me but when they said I would have to pay like 30 USD resort fee per day, I got cold on that idea. It's true though, if a white person tells them they are staying in the resort- they will believe it! They think we are all honest,rich, good looking people and we are not capable of doing harm.
Phillipinas in general are decent people and super friendly to foreigners! Not like Thailand where they call you stupid farang all the time and trying to scam you.

In my experience All the girls you will meet in Phil with fall into the following category, you just have to recognize it and proceed accordingly.

1.Pay my fare girl/ load me girl

This type of girl you usually encounter on a dating website. Her profile can state any location ( it doesn’t matter at the end). When you message her she will express interest in meeting you fast. She will be receptive to anything you suggest. The catch is : she will come to meet you if you pay her taxi fare! They usually ask for 200-250 Ph ( 6 USD). I’ve encountered this con in Cuba many times. This is usually bad news – she will show up and collect the money then will excuse herself ( to buy medicine for her headache) to never be seen again.
Load me girl is is in the same category : will promise to meet you fast but she needs a “load” on her phone. You can text her some credit . I’ve encountered so often that I think it’s a bussines ran buy women/men in provinces to earn some money and resell SIM card with money on it. You can run it from any location just siting on a website all day with a pretty picture. Apparently it works as I see many people doing that.

2.Long-ish con girl

This one is the most harmful type that is also hard to detect. She can come from anywhere, an opportunitiest. She will hang out with you, get to know you, gain your trust. You might actually go explore some islands..or just stay in a hotel several days.
They are typically unemployed girls from provinces. Have no education past high school.
They like watching TV a lot ( there is nothing to do in provinces, no work). The one I met watched me long enough to know what she can steal from me and where I keep it.
She knew what to go for and executed her getaway rapidly with my valuables.
I recommend setting up false flags : show her you keep your money in a certain place in your backpack, keep maybe 50 USD there and the rest of the money ( you want to keep) keep somewhere else and never ever access it when she can be watching you. Also, she wasn’t affectionate in bed…just kinda blaw..My intuition was telling me something is off, she is not genuine with her feeling, but I dismissed it. She was talking on the phone with her female cousin but I heard a men’s voice. There were other holes in her story. Basically look for inconsistency. I was blinded by her young body and after all, she had a Facebook with many friends..lol

3.Good girl

I met some regular people in Phil. I love good girls. Typically they have some University education. They have jobs. Their choice of quality men is poor. They genuinely want to meet a nice, educated guy who they can create a family with. They will not fuck you on a first date and will pay their way if you go anywhere. Typically they will even cover your expenses when you go out. They have Facebook with many “normal” friends from Uni.
4.Party girl

You can meet them in dance clubs/bars. They like to dance and drink. They like sex. If they think you are cute and fun they will take you home! They are not typically online, you have to go out to meet them! Availability of them is pretty good.

5.Flag collector girl.
I honestly didn’t expect meeting this type of girls. This girl is on a dating website. She will bluntly state she likes white guys/tall guys/ blue eyed / foreign/etc.. I stumbled on one on a dating site and she was over in my hotel in about 1 hour. She told me she loves foreign guys, she had a Canadian, Belgian,German, Spanish…and I am going to be her American flag!  She said she doesn’t like Asian men as they also have small penises and she likes it big. She was a sold 8, around 21…and never fucked a asian dude! Damn!


Couple of words about two cities I visited:

Cagayan de oro.

Basically it is a shit-hole! Almost industrial feel – like. It starts at the airport- it’s about 45 km away from the city. Taxi drivers will fucking fight for the right to rip you off! I thought Manila was bad, but Cagayan was 10 times worse. If you are crazy enough to end up there : the metered taxi rided should be around 450 Pesos ( 10 USD) to anywhere you need to go in town. Try to catch a taxi that just brought passengers because chances are they are not the airport sharks who refuse to use a meter.
The city is poor, noting to do there..and no beaches. If you make it to the water you’ll quickly realize it is as polluted as Bangkok river. You get any of that water inside you and you will get sick!
Girls are darker and uglier. I haven’t seen many foreigners. Maybe two in the mall. Don’t do Cagayan!

Cebu.

What a wonderful city. Modern infrastructure. Good economy. Taxi drivers don’t argue with you ever and use the meter. Beaches nearby. Cheap hotels. Great girl availability!
Many call centers are in Cebu and that provides for local economy. Many quality girls with decent salaries and no man.

Conclusion:

Sadly I got robbed on my last day. I violated my own rules : primarily not tell the girls when I leave ( tell them you stay longer) and not protecting money – she knew where it was. She wanted to drink in the room last night ( even though previously she said she doesn’t like it) and I told her before I get easily drunk and pass out. She woke up around 2 am and got her shit and my shit and had a taxi waiting for her outside of the hotel. By the way…she knew my flight was early in the morning so I’ll have no time to chase her. She took my watch too so when I woke up I didn’t know what time it was. I explained in the hotel what happened and they were kind to give me a ride to an ATM.
This was the first time I got ripped of. After traveling to many countries like Thailand or Cuba where your guard is always up – girls are expected to rip you off if you make it easy for them, I let my guard down. I met so many good girls and I still think Phil people are super friendly and trustworthy.

Beaches are not nearby if you stay in Cebu city center. it is 1 hour by car.

Half of the girls I meet are unemployed.
Call centers salaries are really low, same for the sale ladies working in Ayala or SM. They dont get decent salaries.

If you walk around the city, you will see small slums (example:in Escario Street, 1km from Ayala mall), kids begging near Robinson Mall and sleeping in the streets.

Cebu City is a shit hole for me if you exlude the malls.
