Take Your Dad To Las Vegas

Take Your Dad To Las Vegas

The best trips I've taken have been with my dad. We came back from Las Vegas today. It was one of the best vacations of my life.

I consider myself well-traveled. There are so many places I've been that I wish he'd have come along. Now that he's retired, we've made a decision to take a lot more trips together. According to him, I'm not going to be around forever.

Two 26 year old girls were sitting at a table in a bar at our hotel. He walked over and simply said "excuse me ladies, my son and I would like you to join us." My father is 62. When the subject of age came up his response was "well we're the same age one way or another" He left with the better looking of the two, but I of course was more into the 1/2 Japanese one. The Hotel (which has taken outrageously excellent care of me twice now) for some reason comped a huge breakfast for the 4 of us in his room. The chick was still all over him. The man is just so fucking smooth.

His chick called him later that night. He already made plans with a 30ish woman he'd met at the convention that day. It was fantastic. Mine didn't call.

I could go on for hours.

If you guys get the chance, head to Vegas with your old man.

Aloha!

Kona, That inspires me to keep my "Game" tight even into "retirement years". I love his straight forward direct approach. Those "older" guys are so polished. My father was real smooth also. Can you breakdown your fathers "Game"? How can a man in his 60's pull women half his age???

Great story Kona.

Vegas is very friendly to the older Playboy.

This is so funny, because I just got back home from Vegas today myself...with my dad, lol. My father is married to my mother so no gaming for him, other than the blackjack table. Besides, my dad is pretty AFC anyway and probably not the best wing.

What it comes down to for my pops is simple; He's just extremely confident.

It doesn't hurt that he's really good looking and extremely healthy for an older cat.

Everything he's done his entire life he's been outrageously successful. He's one of those guys that just has a glow about them.

He does his own thing and doesn't let anybody get in his way, and never has.

On our Vegas trip, he finally told me the truth about something I've been wondering for years. Maybe 15 or so years ago he was dating the mother of a girl who was Miss Hawaii USA and a b-list actress. The daughter is a few years older than me. He also swooped the daughter. Him and the mom broke it off years ago, but he and the daughter hooked up a few months ago when she was in town for Christmas.

The guy's just been doing it for years.

Aloha!

Part of me thinks that a lot of this stuff is genetic. Confidence, aggression, alphaism, there could be inborn temperaments. It sounds like you do pretty well, and your dad does pretty well and it's a matter of Darwinism passing down good genes with high replication value. Of course most human traits are mix of environment and genes and someone can be born an alpha but have feminism beat into his head from an early age and the boy will fear masculinity. Or you can have a born beta that works very hard to learn to game and overcome his natural tendencies toward lack of success with women.

I don't know a whole lot of my father's history with women, we just don't talk about that stuff. But I know he's beta and he sounds quite AFC. He managed to get married and have kids obviously but I don't get the impression he was a ladies man by any means. My father never taught me much about what it was to be a man, go out there and get the girls. He saw through school I wasn't dating and bringing around girlfriends but never did much to intervene and find out what the hell was going on. It was only until I was in my mid-20s that I started taking initiative to change things. Even now I feel like it's a major struggle to get where I want to be. I think I inherited temperaments that put me at a disadvantage, and then on top of that was never in an environment where I was pushed and forced to grow past it. Then I wake up one day in my mid-20s and wonder what the hell happened and try to make sense of it all.

Speakeasy, Great post. I think you're right. Genetics is eveything. Looks, body type, personality, talents, fears, etc. are all mostly inherited(maybe even confidence, alphaness, and comfort around women). Guys who are bad with the chicks usually produce sons who are bad with the chicks and vice versa. BUT, the human brain is built for constant change and adaptation. Like you said, betas can become alphas and alphas can become betas. Overcoming your genetics is possible but it takes years of hard work. Some guys are just lucky. Im watching the NBA 3-point Contest right now and they're talking about how shooting is all "in the genes"
