Girl tweets "Someone in my house call 911" goes missing

ALJ junior Kara Alongi tweeted "There is somone in my hour ecall 911" around 6 p.m. Sunday night and is now missing.

Clark Police are searching the area and talking to friends of Alongi but so far have not located her. A county canine unit has been called to assist in the search.

A friend of the family says Alongi's home on Hall Drive shows signs of a break-in and that her family was at her younger brother's sporting event at the time.

Clark Police Chief Alan Scherb could not be reached by Patch at this time. We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.

So, why did she tweet instead of calling 911 herself?

To be fair, I think they would cover the story if she were another race. The whole tweet thing is something I've personally never seen occur before, so there's some novelty to it.

If society promotes abdication of responsibility, then people will become adept at literally nothing (other than delegating.)

The comments in that article are great. It seems that she called some guy creepy in an earlier tweet and a bunch of people are demanding that the police go question the kid. I guess that's all it takes.

I have an Asian girl in my bed following this story very closely on her phone device.

The whole thing appears to be a hoax. The girl suddenly got 40000 new twitter followers because of it.

Don't try to wrap your head around this one.

Aloha!

I remember a year or two ago, some woman from Georgia I believe went missing right before her wedding and the authorites later found her in Las Vegas, having run away from her family and future husband.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is more of the same.

Police then found that someone called a local taxi company asking for a car at Alongi's address around the same time as the tweet, and a cab driver confirmed that he dropped off a person matching the girl's description at the Rahway train station.

Yeah, just saw that. Looks like all she wanted was attention. And she got it. 100,000 new followers on Twitter. This takes attention whoring to new heights. And what really pisses me off about this is that she won't be punished for wasting everyones time and police resources. Absolutely no charges will be brought.

She probably ran away to go be with some guy she met online or something.

It's a shame this is a hoax, If she was really kidnapped/killed it would have helped improve the average IQ.

Yup, from the proceeds of an engagement ring I'd wager.

Not going to hate. This was an impressive publicity stunt. She was acting out an urban legend.

Now we'll all talk about how much we hate her, she'll do some interviews, she'll show contrituion.

Pretty fucking awesome PR move.

Agreed, but she could still potentially face charges for wasting police resources. Don't need a bunch of copy cats abusing the system like this in the future. They might make an example of her.

Doubtful, I think the Police Chief already went on record and said she won't be in trouble. Not to mention this is America, and all you need to do is take one look at her and realize she won't be in any trouble. Pretty Blonde girls are immune from punishment.
