Memphis, Tennessee Datasheet

Memphis, Tennessee-

Largest City in the US state of Tennessee with a population of 640,000+ according to the 2010 US Census. This, I would consider a 2nd tier city in the US.

Known for: Blues Legend BB King, Beale Street, and Graceland where Elvis Presley did something I am not sure of.

Accommodations
I stayed with a buddy so it was free. The downtown area has hotels within walking distance from everything. Check out hotels.com.

Transportation
Public transportation is a drag. You have to drive or cab everywhere with 30 mins+ commutes if you are staying outside the entertainment district. The only bright spot was the streetcar that runs downtown. The development patterns resemble a Houston or a Dallas with urban sprawl dominating the landscape. A bunch of strip malls, gas stations, and cookie cutter subdivisions exist here. This makes logistics a nightmare.

Girls
All the women here have thick southern accents. Their style of dress outside of the club is very plain-janey. At the clubs, they dress very well other than them wearing eyeglasses, not even the trendy hipster looking ones. What type of woman wears bifocals in the club? One thing some of these women wear in clubs I hope catches on like wildfire is the full bodysuit outfit. I think they call them catsuits. Imagine curvy women practically naked with soft spandex on throughout the entire body and high heels shaking ass letting you dance and grab them.

Clubs/Bars
I am more of a club person who likes to dance and feed off the energy that is present in such establishments. Here are a few clubs and bars:

Senses - By far the most consistently favorable black club I have been to in America (I have yet to hit Atlanta hard). On Friday nights, women outnumber men up until 12:30 am. The music is very good; less radio music (Drake) more classic dancing music (R. Kelly). There is actually still a place in the US where the girls are there to meet men, most of the women at any given time are grinding on men, and getting rejected is at a minimum. Sunday nights are not as good but still better than the average club.

Level Two - Stuck up women galore. Club segregation at its finest. There's a place for people to sit down next to the dance floor, there's a huge VIP section, and finally there's the dance floor. The crowd is black again with some stunners in the VIP of course. It is the total opposite of Senses.

Blue Bar - This looks to be a restaurant by day and a nightclub by night. There are way too many tables there that encourage the average overweight American to sit their ass down with drinks and people-watch the night away. There was actually no VIP section. It was a very bright club as well. Females had shitty attitudes and entitlement complexes.

Clicks - Shitty chain 3-card-Monty scam ridden pool bar. Nothing more to say about it.

Daygame - Daygame opportunities are very rare outside of the downtown entertainment district. There's just nowhere to go other than the entertainment district for daygame. Even Wal-Mart could not muster up anything over a 7.

Beale Street - Didn't expect this to be as grand as it was. It is five blocks of live music, drinks on the street, and very talented street performers. Women can be met walking up and down this strip from evening until late night.

Bottom line: If you like curvy non-fat black women who will give you play, then Friday night at Senses in Memphis is one of the best bets you can make in America based on everywhere I have been. Otherwise, stay near the entertainment district near Beale.

Is this mostly a black city? Do you find the local women to be friendly?

Definitely a mostly black city. It is more than 60% black excluding suburbs. The local women are more friendly there than I have experienced in NY, and Miami.

Nice Data Sheet RougeNoir, I have visited Memphis three times in the past few years and always had a great time at the Beale Street. Another great time to visit is "Memphis in May festival"

http://www.memphisinmay.org/

There was BBQ contest by the river with over a 100 tents with a tail gating party theme, Out door Concert by the river, Tons of Southern belles drunk and ready to be gamed...., If you already have some connections to enter some of the tents , gaming becomes much easier. I was able to enter the party hosted by a local Restaurant and had free drinks, BBQ and loads of women to spit my game at [Image: smile.gif]

One Place to Stay : I would recommend a place to stay that generated a lay 2 out of 2 times [Image: smile.gif]. The Peabody Hotel

http://www.peabodymemphis.com/?gclid=CJf...dom=pm-ppc

Centrally Located close to Beale Street and Downtown, Looking back I can see how having good logistics resulted in success.

It is an Old School, Southern Classis , May be a little Cheesy but do not miss the Duck Parade in the main Lobby in the evening and post up at the Bar in the Center of the lobby Suited up......

I ordered a martini mimicking the drink off a Lady who was sitting next to me, Started Chatting, after the Duck Parade finished , told her there is a beutiful view from the rooftop, kissed her on the roof top, to my room and game over.....

She was not the only target there at that time, there were some good looking southern Cougars in droves there at that Night.

3 Places of Importance at Peabody Hotel

1. Central Bar in the lobby : Specifically at around 5-6 PM with the Duck parade. Not just a good vortex spot but they serve amazing old school southern drinks.

2: Roof Top: For View and Isolation

3. Thursday night party at Rooftop: In think during summer only.

Tons of bars on Beale Street , I don't remember the names but one is worth mentioning. The Flying Saucer

http://www.beerknurd.com/stores/memphis/

and conviniently located across the street about 2-3 blocks from Peabody hotel, Outside bar area and Inside sofas have plenty of girls on weekends, granted the hostesses were the best looking girls at this bar but Lots of 6-7 targets available to spit game at...

I hear Memphis in May is good as well as Africa in April. So it seems, late spring is the time to head to the Mid-South.

Memphis is also one of a handfull of cities in the US (Las Vegas, New Orleans, and the entertainment district of miami) that has no last call, meaning clubs can serve alcohol twenty four seven.

How does that effect the nightlife? It must be easier to pull snl there I'd imagine. that's a huge plus. European nightlife is much better because of no Last call.

Update: Club Senses has since been shut down. What a shame. It's competitor, Flirt, cannot hold up a candle to Senses. Flirt consists of a decent indoor and an outdoor bar with a dancefloor, champagne chairs/tables, and an upstairs VIP section. The music was good, but there are way too many seats in this venue. Lazy people just sit in them. Not good.

Updated Memphis Datasheet: Just giving out a little of what I’ve seen.

DISCLAIMER: I’m still in the fledgling state of game, so this datasheet is definitely coming from a game level that still needs a lot of work.

Downtown: Beale Street, South Main, the place where most of the partying is going down. Some higher middle class folks, with lots of out of towners.
Midtown: Fifteen minutes east of Downtown. More residential, and has a different vibe. Lots of families, hipsters, and young people starting out.
Crosstown: In between Downtown and Midtown, not much going on, but a few cool places.
East Memphis: Part of the sprawl, not really suburbia, but pretty close. Again, not much going on.
Bartlett, Cordova, Germantown, etc.: suburbia
South Memphis, North Memphis, Orange Mound, Hickory Hill: Not anything going on for the potential player. These places have lots of economic problems, and Memphis, like any place in the South, has a history of racism that influenced the decline of these African American communities.

Accommodations: There are some nice hotels Downtown, the most famous of which is the Peabody. People are beginning to get into the Airbnb and couch surfing scene, and if you want to stay here without dropping too much money, I’d go that route.

Transportation: LOGISTICS ARE NOT GOOD. Memphis has a bus system, but it’s not efficient for traveling around the city while visiting. Your best bet would be cabs, which aren’t terribly expensive, or rental cars. The trolleys that normally run Downtown have been out of commission for the past six months at least. Like RougeNoir said, there is a lot of urban sprawl. The best way to game here would be to stay Downtown, working from there as a central location.

Girls: Memphis, like a lot of the South, has problems with obesity. Lots of girls would be hotter if they shed some pounds. The typical Southern girl will be pretty plain, but there are plenty of outliers. You get a lot of people up from Oxford (Ole Miss), and some of those girls can be marginally traditional and well dressed. Teach For America has a sizeable presence, so there are plenty of girls from around the country. These girls are hit or miss looks wise, and most of them are liberal arts majors. Memphis has a large population of African Americans as well. Black girls are in the same category as the white girls; they could stand to lose a few pounds, but, in my experience, if you find a good one they will be more feminine, and require a little more game.

Downtown:

Beale Street: This place in the central party district in Memphis. Lined with bars, this is where people come to get fucked up. Lots of live music. On weeknights there isn’t too much going on, but the weekends are busy all times of the year. Typical bar game works well, just make sure your logistics are decent. On Beale, the biggest club right now is Club 152. Multiple floors for dancing, it’s always been packed when I’ve been. My club game isn’t that great, but it seems like it could be a decent place to pull.

Not on Beale, but still Downtown, is Raiford’s Disco. I haven’t been, but I hear it is THE place to go dancing, and it definitely has a reputation for being a place where girls are somewhat open to being danced with by strangers.

The Main Street area is walkable, and there are some decent places. Flight is a restaurant with a big price tag. The established Downtowners frequent the bar. Other than that, there are some pizza places, and few shops and museums. Hardly anything going on there during the day.

The South Main District just recently became revitalized. A few mid-level restaurants that are decent for dates, and I’ve had success taking girls to this area, then hopping back to their place or mine. A decent place is Earnestine and Hazel’s, a former brothel and pharmacy that’s been a bar for a while. Has a very laid back vibe and juke-joint look. Supposedly haunted, it’s a dark, quiet place to build comfort and talk.

On Saturdays, there is the Farmer’s Market. Not too big, but probably the best place for day game. There are also some parks near the river which are possible day game locations.

Crosstown:

The only place worth going here is Molly Fontaine’s, an old Victorian house converted into a lounge type bar. Girls will come to feel fancy and drink a $15 drink. The talent is marginally better than other places. Also, this is a favorite spot for gays, and I’ve been hit on a couple times while just chilling there.

Midtown:

Midtown is more residential that Downtown, and more solidly middle class. The girls tend to be teachers, bartenders, waitresses, non-profit workers, or government employees. Overton Square has several bars and restaurants. I haven’t had too much luck there, but I am still learning and proving my chops. Typical bar game will probably get you the farthest: open, create interest, drink a little, and you know the rest of the story. Most places close around 1 or 2 am. The Cooper Young area has a real hipster vibe, and I’ve actually been approached by a few decent looking girls at a few bars there. Places like Young Avenue Deli, Beauty Shop, and Alchemy are ok. Midtown also has a small yoga scene, so you may wanna check out some classes if you’re here for a few days.

If you’re into an alternative scene, the P&H (Poor and Hungry) is the place to go. Lots of freaks, but occasionally you get some stunners. Easy to meet people, it’s a place where Midtowners go to get fubar’d and sing karaoke. Same with the Buccaneer.

_____________________________

Memphis is a badly designed city. Your best bet for girls will be Downtown and Midtown. The rest of the city is either sprawl or suburbs. The girls are pretty typically American. Don’t let the image of the charming Southern Belle fool you, Memphis girls are right there with the rest of the country. There are quite a few hot girls here, but the majority are middle of the pack. Anyways, this is my first datasheet and I didn’t try to make it comprehensive. These are just the places I have experience with. If you have any specific questions, I’ll try to answer them to the best of my ability.

Great data sheet, Incertus. I just checked a dating website and notice that there are lots and lots of black girls listed for the Memphis area, more than I've seen anywhere else except maybe Atlanta. So, it looks like Memphis would be a good place to pipeline if you're into black women.

If a person is traveling to Memphis for whatever reason and will be trying to pipeline, which area is better to stay for going out on dates? Downtown or Midtown?

Midtown is fairly small and insular, I'd go with Downtown. It's bigger and there's less of a chance of running into other dates.

Lived in Memphis for all of 6 months when I was a shorty

Hated it, because of it's "countryness", southern drawls and slow pace

Of course now I've been wanting to go back as an adult and Beale Street

Funny how perspective changes with age

Eh, as someone who is in Tn but in K-town I don't think this is true. In my experience picking up around 1am is the optimal time because everyone is drunk, last call is within an hour or so, and last call makes it easy to suggest getting some beers from the BP or Shell and heading to my place to continue drinking. Ofcourse, I live right down the street within walking distance on a college campus city but once in the apartment you have to fuck up, which I have of course plenty of times, to not get the bang.

Women these days think they can shop for a man like they shop for a purse or a pair of shoes. Sorry ladies. It doesn't work that way.

Women are like sandwiches. All men love sandwiches. That's a given. But sandwiches are only good when they're fresh. Nobody wants a day old sandwich. The bread is all soggy and the meat is spoiled.
