American Cities Gender Gap Percentages.

Here's a list of gender gap percentages of 100 cities in the United States. I figured it might help target which cities to visit or hit up on Plenty Of Fish, badoo or whatever. Of course, it doesn't say if the women are the prime 18-35 age, or 65-80, but still... Better to start with a city with more women, than not.

Super useful. i always felt like Sacramento and Chicago were better than most America holes.

8% surplus! That eliminates most of the morbidly obese from the Lard Equation.

My speculation is that a significant amount of the surrounding farmland Northern European blondies in the Midwest go to these cities instead of the more prohibitively expensive NY, LA, and SFO.

It's funny you mention Sacramento... I don't go there very often,, (Hard to justify the drive when you live 12 miles from San Francisco) but I have noticed some of the prettiest black women in Sacramento that I've seen in a while! I was kinda amazed actually. I do not see this concentration of attractive black women in Oakland, or even in Los Angeles. There is a mall near Old Town Sacramento, where I saw a light skinned, Lisa Bonet looking sista about once every 5 minutes, literally. I actually started to think that maybe creole Hurricane Katrina victims were relocated from New Orleans to Sacramanto, it's that many of them!

It's sad to see the San francisco ratio, but I can't say I'm surprised. For being such a liberal city, the women have a somewhat, I don't know if the word is stuck up, but just low approchability vibe going on. I figure that's because of the skewed male to female ratio. And to be honest, "open arms, love everybody" Berkeley is worse!

I think this list is just a measure of old ladies in a given area. Within the demographic of 18-25, men vastly outnumber women everywhere.

Is that a real stat? Meaning a high percentage of men croak before 18, or lots more men are born?

I think there are some positive things happening SOMEWHERE demographically, the above-mentioned one-- where Midwestern lookers want to go to a 2nd/3rd tier city and go to Minneapolis or Chicago instead of NY/LA.

I've had cute women in small cities tell me they find NY intimidating.

It can't be that bad. According to the the census bureau there are 32.6 million men age 15-29 in America and 31.9 million women.

If it's a big city, then it really doesn't matter because you're going to be encountering a lot of girls all the time. It's just that at the same time, you'll be encountering a lot of guys too.

I was hoping that wasn't the case, but yeah, El Paso does seem too good to be true!

Where can that information be found?

Without age range, this data is absolutely meaningless. It could be in the older 50+ cohort.

I've been to el paso twice but only briefly. I have a hard time believing there are that many more women. Whats the explanation? Not many huge universities there to draw that kind of m/f ratio. After the murders in juarez did half of the female population move to el paso? I doubt most of these women are in the 18-35 bracket. Perhaps in the 65 and up?

San antonio looks suspect as well 13% more women? That city is home to several military bases which would more likely cause a cock surplus in the 18-35 demographic.

That's from 2006. I'm positive it's much much worse since then, as birthrates have been falling for a long time now.

Here's a census report with all the relevant information: http://www.census.gov/prod/cen2010/brief...0br-03.pdf

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see any evidence for growing sex ration (the number of males per 100 females).

Men outnumber women by over half a million in the 20-29 age group. Men outnumber women in every age group until you reach the age 40 mark.

Since men mainly go for women in their 20's and below, and since women prefer a much smaller group of men (the alphas) between the ages of 18-40 (roughly speaking), what you have is a situation where tens of thousands of extra men in every city in America are chasing a limited supply of single young females.

Hence:

Massive sausage-fests in the online dating world.
Massive sausage-fests in your average bar or club.
Massive sausage-fests pretty much everywhere you go in America.

If you think about it, it's extremely counter-intuitive for a man to hold the abundance mentality, since in reality men are in abundance, not women.

However, for alphas, women are in abundance, as alphas are scarce.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you. More men are born, but more men die at all ages. The sex ratio for younger people is skewed towards more men, until the increased death rate kicks in around middle age and then there's more women from there up. These are normal population characteristics.

I thought you were saying that this a new phenomenon being driven by some glut in the male population. Men outnumber women by 500,000 in the 20-29 age range out of a total of 43 million. Men make up 50.72% of the population in that age range. If you walked into a bar with 100 people in it and 51 were men, you wouldn't exactly call that a sausage fest. Plus, it's going to vary widely by location. Go to Alaska, the Dakotas, Silicon Valley, and you'll find dudes on top of dudes. In the cities, however, the ratio is skewed towards more females.

If the world appears to be a sausage-fest, it's because of where women are, how fat many of them have become, and what it takes to attract them; it's not because of any abnormal oversupply of men.

By the way, this is all for the United States. Things may be different in other countries.

Do other countries have an oversupply of women compared to men?

I would imagine some war torn countries have more women than men, due to so many men being killed in battle?

I hate to keep referencing Russia, but I don't know of anywhere else where the demographics are as good - maybe Ukraine? I think Russian women deal with something similar to the situation of American men.

FTA:

"Moscow alone boasts more than 3 million single women between the ages of 25 and 50, out of a population of 11.1 million (that’s three times the number of single Muscovite men)"

DailyBeast Article

FTA:

"Still, the numbers of single men and women in Russia are roughly equal: 17.6 million single ladies to 17.2 million single lads. 'That means that Russian women simply have no interest in marrying Russian men,' says Irina Zhuravleva, the head of Russia’s census department at the Federal Statistics Service. A single woman herself, Zhuravleva says she “never had any interest in marrying a drunk, to later suffer the pain of divorce and splitting [of] real estate.”

I heard that despite Russia having a higher divorce rate than the U.S., that most marriages are initiated by the man there, again making it the opposite of the U.S.

So don't be a drunk, have a decent job, don't beat your woman and you are a catch in Russia. Something to think about.

You aren't counting the men in the age range of 30-39 who will be chasing the same women in the 20-29 age group that's already majority male.

That's why, in reality, you walk into a bar and see 60-65% male to female ratio's (on a good night).

OK, I get what you're saying.

I do think it all depends on where you're going. In DC, if I go out to some meat market bar on Friday night, there's tons of dudes. If I go to a restaurant for happy hour after work on a Wednesday, there's barely a man in sight.

Oh, no doubt. That's why venue selection and niche selection is so important. For example, at my dance locations the ratio's are usually 10 females for every 9 males, on average. Often times much better.

But that doesn't change the fact of the backdrop which we operate: Sausage land. This is why females are entitled, this is why they flake, this is why there are no second dates, etc.

j r,

I'm surprised a guy living in the DC area would think the USA has an almost even ratio on M to F. Almost everywhere in DC is a sausage party.

Most happy hours in the DC area are sausagefests too. From downtown DC to all the way in Reston. DC happy hours are not a pussy paradise.
