Player Personal Essentials When Going Out: What You Carry

Only one new addition to mention: spare battery for Android phone.

When I used to have an iPhone it was pretty annoying not being able to switch it out if I'd been out all day/night.

Now it's no longer a concern because I always have a spare ready.

Works wonders when hoes are twerking on you! Also if walking alone and some thugs try to take advantage of you, just raise your shirt so they can see the pistol grip, they will leave you alone because they don't wanna get shot

There's a vaporizer called the "Halo G6" which has a much more powerful battery than the over-the-counter drugstore crap (which have too high a nicotine content anyway.) It's an E-cigarette form factor, so you won't look like a vape-nerd. Get a low or no nicotine concentration liquid you like, plus say the red battery stick and the "low resistance" refillable cartridges that seem to come only in black. Looks pretty cool, blows decent clouds, makes an interesting conversation piece when standing around outside the club, won't set you back too much $$$.

How much did you pay for it? I will probably go with the crappy/cheap one as I am not willing to spend much on it. As long as I can open with it and not give me some lung cancer or shit like that I will buy.

What are the downsides of buying a nicotine free e-cigarette except price?

I can't wait to pretend that I am a recovering smoker.

My only concern is girls with yellow teeth and Dracula breath.

Bumping this ancient thread by Basil Ransom (a poster I greatly miss).

Here is everything I carry when heading out for an evening --

[Image: 15i0mfk.jpg]

- Money clip, 'TJ' engraved, holding ~a few 100 of the local currency
- Small leather card holder, with one ID and two credit/ATM cards
- One apartment key on a bottle-opener key ring
- Zippo lighter, 'TJ' engraved
- Small packet of chewing gum (lately Dentyne Ice)
- No more than a few coins
- Stainless steel hip flask, 'TJ' engraved, for JW Red or Jack Daniels
[The flask goes in the inside blazer/suit jacket pocket, so if I am not wearing one then the flask stays home.
This past year I haven't been drinking, so no flask for now.]

***
A few comments. I have seen some very weird shit carried around by otherwise sharp dudes, who would do well to pare it down.

- What is with the big fat Old Man wallet containing dozens of credit cards, store discount/membership cards, a file of receipts worthy of an IRS audit, etc.? When a man is out bar-hopping/clubbing -- i.e. to enjoy the chaos that a night on the town is -- does he really need more than two or three credit cards and an ID? Probably not. It makes a man look silly, and he runs the risk of losing a lot of valuable stuff. If for whatever reason you absolutely have to have the big old Dad wallet, then keep it in the inside breast pocket of your jacket: Don't jam it in the back pocket of your jeans -- it makes you look like you have a load in your pants.

- Likewise, no need for the Jailor's giant jingly-jangly key ring with 20+ keys. What for? More than two keys will be useless -- a house key and a car key (but if you are out drinking, you are not driving anyway).

- I know one dude -- otherwise completely squared away -- who carries around a small change purse to hold coins. WTF? How fast do you think the young pussy will dry up if it sees this?

- Last, and most important: Chewing gum or breath mints are indispensable. It never ceases to amaze me how many men on the prowl for snatch have breath that could pass for an unclean twat.

What else are dudes carrying these days?

To carry on with Tokyo Joe's post, I carry a silver condom case:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PMGQ4TI/

[Image: 71zGSWfO6KL._SX522_.jpg]

It's sturdy, discrete, stylish, and won't let unused condoms get ripped or damaged. I would love to get one engraved with my initials.

If anyone is interested, I can do custom logos on hipflasks (and other metal objects) using Cermark and a laser cutter at TechShop. I do this sort of thing for fun, not money.

I'll come through Austin just for that if you're still there. My gunmetal lighter needs to be engraved and a few zippos I've meant to gift as well.

Anyways for myself:

Flask(Vodka, Honey Jack, or Absinthe)
Dunhill Fine Cut Cigarettes
Knife(useful for uncorking wine bottles)
Phone Charger
Gunmetal Lighter(it's fairly unique so I can send pics via PM but rather not post in the thread)
Cinnamon Altoids
Bottle Opener
Wallet(2 condoms hidden inside and $100)
Diving Watch(for impromptu swim sessions)

Too much shit in you guys' pockets.

Money, phone, ID, and a few small pieces of paper with your name and number written on them to give to girls (learned from this from LINUX). Easiest to to keep tucked in your phone case or maybe a money clip. This is easier than pulling out your phone in the middle of a loud and busy club and having them tap their name and number into it. If they like you they'll message.

A lot of nightclubs pat you down. I can't see bringing knives and flasks on me. Gear up according to where you will be going. I prefer carrying as little shit on me as possible.

I think it's around $35 US for the starter kit online, vape juice not included. A pack of "low resistance" cartridges is about $6.

I think health risk from vaporizers is likely extremely low (certainly compared with smoking daily, or even socially), even those with nicotine content (other than addiction and the temptation to go back to the regular kind with that.) The propylene glycol chemical used as the flavor/nicotine vehicle is probably one of the most non-toxic manmade substances out there - I believe it's one of the few chemicals approved for de-icing ships in the Antarctic as it's considered to not cause any risk to ocean life.

There might be more risk if one uses crap homemade juice or bootleg shit from China on eBay, so don't do that.

Nothing, except without nicotine you won't get that "throat hit" feeling you get with regular cigarettes or vapes with nicotine content, so it won't feel much like the real thing.

Default:
* Keys
* Wallet/Money Clip (slim whatever it is, ID, 1 credit card, debit card, enough cash to solve problems)
* Chapstick/Lip Balm (hate having chapped lips)
* Phone

Optional - only if I think I'll need them:
* Condoms (been in a LTR for a while)
* Spare phone battery
* Gum/mints (if I'll be eating)
* Sunglasses (day time)

I've thought about carrying a small knife, but I don't think it's really worth it. I also want to pare down the number of keys I have as it's really nice to not have a lot of them. I trimmed down my wallet/money clip many years ago and long ago stopped wearing a wallet in my back pocket, it's WAY better.

Summer: in shorts - wallet (very small) and phone. I have a lockbox on my door. If I'm not driving, I don't bother to carry my keys. Phone is clipped to the shorts.

Briefcase: laptop, Apple charger, laptop charger, Kindle, Android charger (necessary for my Kindle and headphones), Bose SoundSport, cloth to wipe my screen, files I need to take to court, and bike locks. I've been leaving my iPad at home, but it's useful in court if I need a file that we didn't print out. I normally carry my briefcase by the handle, but I keep the strap inside for biking purposes.

Some random recommendations:

- Everyday Shorts by Myles Apparel are the shit. You can wear them to dinner, to work, swim in them, and work out in them. I rock these every single day that I'm not wearing a suit. I'm a big fan of all the stuff Myles makes.
- Exofficio underwear. You can wear the shit out of them and they never stink. I rotate between like 4 pairs. If you're traveling, they're easy to wash in the sink and dry quickly.
- My wallet is custom (made by a tattoo artist), but I used to have the Saddleback Front Pocket ID Wallet. Same size. I used to carry a giant wallet, and now all I carry is my license, health insurance, law license, two credit cards, cash, and a business card or two. There is no need to have a bunch of shit in your wallet.
- Otterbox if you have an iPhone. It's the best. You can turn the clip and make it into a speaker phone easily. My iPhone 6 is still plugging away after all this time. (my Otterbox also has an Eagles logo on it). Your phone will last forever.
- I'm generally a fan of Saddleback Leather products. I have the thin pocket briefcase, classic briefcase, simple backpack, notepad, etc. If you're in a "professional" profession, the chestnut color looks perfect. If you're in a more rugged profession, the tobacco looks great. They're heavy, for sure, but make good talking pieces and are durable as hell. If I didn't have a Saddleback briefcase, I'd probably rock a Filson.
- Blazers are incredibly efficient. Particularly navy blue ones. Khakis. Black belt. I usually wear brown slip ons because I don't feel like wearing socks, and they go with everything.

Cash (50USD or less here in Serbia)
Phone
Burner Phone
Nice cigs (Dunhill, Davidoff, or Sobranie) Extra points if they're slim, in which case the girls will smoke one.
disposable lighter/ Zippo.
Watch (to avoid checking the damn phones for the time).
Slip of paper with my address on it (to avoid hassle of taxi drivers when I get in)
Photocopy of Identity documents (to avoid loss of the original)
Slip of paper with phone number of good friend(s) (in case of loss/theft of phones)

Wallet with condom cash and minimal cards - because some places don't take card
Phone for everything so if there's no good looking girls nearby to approach then it's time to hit up and message girls on online apps
Small power bank to extend battery charge
Compact E-cigarette

Overseas only, my passport to get into clubs that actually check ID
Colder countries only, sometimes the leather jacket = The quintessential RSD uniform [Image: icon_lol.gif]

Gonna have to get one of those long, durable, anti-theft keychains, ideally doubling as a garrote when I somehow end up lost into questionable places

- At 27 AUD each on eBay brand new I hope the Exofficio underwear live up to their expectations
- Brown slipons are classy but are a little out of place in a dingy club full of other 18-21 year olds and thankfully they are dark places so they haven't been a concern to me in my experience

In my experience, there is no bigger cockblock than an iphone which dies out halfway through the night. Make sure that shit is fully charged

and condoms. Otherwise I end up rawdogging and regretting it
