I think I'm good with boots for right now. I need to move up to jeans. I own one pair of Levi's. It's a sort of dark blue 514's. They're not very dark anymore, just faded. I'm going to be looking for black jeans now. Solid black jeans. I'm not looking for faded black jeans. As I've mentioned before, my look is based on Kellan Lutz who has more of a rugged heavier look. Here are some of the pics I posted previously:

I know it's not skinny jeans, so I'm guessing it's a straight leg. What fit of jeans do you think he wears?

Secondly, where do I find cool fitted, masculine and heavy, jeans like his? I'm surrounded by stores like H&M, Express, Old Navy, and Gap. They lack a certain manliness. I'm settling with the idea that I have to go online to get good quality jeans. If not, does anyone know a really good store. Like great quality good! Anyone know any really good brand names (both online and in store)? There's stuff like a Banana Republic around here and J.Crew. But, I want some serious looking jeans. If I'm going to have to shop online, that's cool.

What do you think?

1st set looks straightleg.
2nd set has a taper twd middle of leg and comes out a little at the bottom.
3rd is bootcut.

One stop shop for quality denim is a place like Nordstrom, that has a wide selection of good brands, or Macy's, or Neiman Marcus, depending on your price point.

Yoox has a ridiculous selection of denim. If you go there, see a pair you like, and then find a brick and mortar place to try them on to find your size, that would be ideal.

I've worn $200 distressed Seven jeans that literally disintegrated and $40 shrink-to-fit 501s that are indestructible and age beautifully. There's knowledge out there to get up on.

For basics, find a pair that you like, try them on to see if it suits your height and build, and note what cut, wash and color suits you best.

A few examples you might like:

those look like Slim Boot.

The premium arizonas at JC penney are very nice and only like 30 bucks.

Please do not buy "distressed" jeans with factory made holes in them.

Specially not "Individuality" jeans that reflect a corporate-approved, designer-made "personality". Nothing screams "I buy my personality at the mall" like those.

Buy jeans in dark blue, wear them out. Like cowboys used to do.

Levi's you cannot go wrong, for the price you cannot beat them.

I am also a fan of G-star jeans, but I own 2 pairs and that is it.

Lucky jeans -their fit on me is far superior to other brands I have tried.

But I often still have my tailor tweak them a little

I always rock dark colored Ecko or Volcom jeans. They're pretty cheap and they look fine with just about anything.

Avoid pre-ripped jeans.

The other night when I was out, I saw a dude with jeans so ripped up that it looked like he was wearing a denim loin cloth and denim chaps. It was super gay.
