Help: Oral Candida/Thrush

i have fucking GINGIVITIS. I have corsodyl mouthwash for this,it actually relieves the pain.

Gingivitis is usually caused by plaque.

Go see a dentist.

You can pump yourself with antibiotics and mouth washes, but unless someone scrapes away the plaque on your teeth, it's not going to go away.

Warning - it's painful to have your plaque removed while having gingivitis.

Most doctors are pretty incompetent when it comes to teeth and gingiva. Go see a dentist.

Reviving this thread for a similar issue. I have SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth).

Little background: I'm mostly extremely healthy, but I've struggled with acid reflux for much of my life. I was on a PPI for ~5 years. Thankfully realized how awful that was.

Overall my digestion is very poor- stomach cramps, bloating, etc.. Again, stuff you'd expect from someone fat and out of shape, not thin and athletic.

My main protocol consists of herbal anti-fungals and saccharomyces boulardii, then probiotics.

Other things I've been doing:

-limiting added sugars
-reducing coffee intake (1 cup/day)
-supplementing Betaine HCl

Any suggestions or success stories?

Anyone juice while curing candida/SIBO? If MikeCF is still around I imagine he'll have an opinion on that.

Flagyl is an antibiotic not an antimycotic (antifungal). Antibiotics can actually cause fungal overgrowth and lead to yeast infections including thrush. Side effects of Flagyl include, "white patches or sores inside your mouth or on your lips" (http://www.rxlist.com/flagyl-drug.htm).

I had good success treating yeast infections on my dog's skin with apple cider vinegar YMMV. If your doctor diagnosed you with thrush then prescribed you flagyl I would advise seeing a different doc.

Note: I'm not a physician this is not medical advise, prescribing treatments for this ailment is well outside my scope of practice. This post is for entertainment purposes only.

Im fighting a long fight against candida as well. Most things have been said (wish i saw this thread years ago) but definitly go on the apple vinegar cider. I also started drinking water with baking soda, hopefully it helps. Eat raw garlic as well!

What is strange for me is that im sure i have candida since years already, yet i never get sick and am in good shape. Its like i destroyed most part of it but it still lingers quietly for when i would become more unhealthy again. I need to really step up to defeat it once and for all.

Agree with a lot of others in saying re-populating gut with good quality acidophilus is also very important.

Has anyone tried oat groats (scottish oats) that supposedly contain chitinase or other enzymes/properties that "kill candidada"?

I'm gonna try this. Also wondering if increasing coffee intake over the last few year is what led to this ...
