Overcoming Shyness Through Gaming

Overcoming Shyness Through Gaming

I've been learning a lot through this forum and putting forth my best effort the past couple weeks in practice. I figure it would be worthwhile to post some of my own notes here, initially (vs. in a private notebook) in case anyone can relate or wants to discuss.

So, I'm a pretty quiet guy in his late 30's (most people would consider me shy, but very good looking with a great, interesting career). The past 10 years have been primarily Online Game, which I do quite well at. Tired of online (the final days for me), I've ventured out to the clubs/bars with some success, but not nearly enough. Before reading about Gaming, I would basically stand near the dance floor and wait until a girl grabbed me. Luckily I've had some success this way, but usually just making out, Number Closing, and 1st Date banging. Not bad, I guess. At this point I'm just trying to get super comfortable out at night and I'm not trying to pull them back the same night (though this will change very soon, esp if I'm not getting enough call backs).

I have a buddy who goes with me sometimes, but I've started to Roll Dolo the past 2 weeks with the help of this forum. Because I get paranoid about being pulled over late at night, I've been heading out sober with a good amount of caffeine (which gets me talkative). No booze in the club, either. I started taking Dance Classes last week, so I'm way more comfortable on the floor already. Girls seem to show more interest and I'm getting more attention.

I'm also Opening right outside the club with girls who are either smoking or waiting for Valet towards the end of the night. Something simple like:

"What's up? Did you have fun?"
"What are doing next?"
They say "Probably go home and sleep."
"What? No afterparty?"
This seems to go over well (gets laughs & conversations gets going).

Then tonight I was leaving a bar and saw a girl alone outside and opened again with "Hey, Did you have fun tonight?" This one actually didn't have fun and, after some nice convo, seemed like she was ready to do something with me. She wasn't really my type (though sexy) so I decided to number close and call it a night (I have a feeling I'll be calling).
So, as you see, I have a lot of work to do but I'm already doing better than I ever have in the real world (vs online b.s.) [Image: idea.gif]

Thanks guys

I say this from my own perspective; shyness in the game always exists. Some people are way better at concealing it, but people who are new to the game like me and you it eats away at us inside. the best way for me to conquer it is just to approach every girl even if she is a 1/10 because the more you practice the faster the deeper it will go inside of you, then thats when you can lock the cage to it. just my perspective though

Thanks man.
So after one of the better girls from earlier this week didn't return my call, I was feeling a bit down. However, I used it to push myself harder at the club tonight. Rolled in late about 90 minutes before closing. Within 30 seconds, I walked right up to a cute latina and struck up convo. After 45 minutes of chit chat, dancing, and "winning over" her friend, they were ready to take off (got the number). The friend actually suggested I take the latina home, but she said nope. Latina asks what kind've car I have (typical Los Angeles B.S.) and when she was impressed with my response, she followed me to my car and got in. After some kissing, I dropped her off at her friend's car (upon her request) and said "Get out." After a pretty sad look on her face, I said "Hey just kidding you'll be hearing from me." Was funny, I guess I could've pushed the ride home a little more. Still, was happy and my dancing was looking a little better this time.
