In the days ahead I'm sure it will come out that this guy was socially awkward, probably a virgin, who was spurned by women.

A lot of people are going to go off on gun laws, but demographics (more men than women in 20-40 age range) and alpha male seeking (hypergamy) by women should be studied as causing frustration that leads to violence in American men.

Probably, but their are exceptions. Columbine shooter Eric Harris was neither of the above (unlike his partner who ticked all three boxes), he outpulled the schools football team. While I agree with you guys that western women and society kind of outcasts these guys as losers and awkward because they don't fit in the mold, I don't think that's a valid enough reason to lash out at people. Hell, I use to be a socially awkward teenager, but for entirely different reasons...my parents split up and remarried so many times I was moving all over the country with no stable friends. I went through some rough times but it made me stronger. I distinctly remember wanting to kill myself/others on numerous occasions just to stop being ignored for a change. But I'd let so many people down, including the kats from the neighborhood I come from, who look at this type of shit as a cowards way out.

In the black community, we secretly kinda laugh at these kinds of guys. Well maybe not secretly. I mean, in North Philly alone you have extreme poverty, violence, drugs, fighting... everything. But you never hear about mass shootings from teenagers, at least not because the teenager got his feelings hurt by his peers or from a bitch. You just man up, suck it the fuck up and become a stronger person. After all there's no better reward. And actually, this shit (bullying, isolated teens, depression) didn't really become an issue until it started happening to white suburbon youth. That shit has been going on in the ghetto for years. Not to say there aren't violent outbursts and flash mobs/robs in the ghetto too, but it seems to be for an entirely different reason (getting money).

I don't mean to come off as insensitive and all that, but nowadays you've gotta be a stronger person, have a vision to get yourself out of your rutt, and execute. There's no excuse, especially when you have people with no arms/legs and what not still enjoying their life. I'm sorry but there's no excuse for that. This is India and much of the middle east, but sexual violence is still pretty common there. More-so than here in fact.

This new guy, James Holmes, knows enough about the film to know the main villan wears a gas mask. Goes to a theater full of people armed with both guns AND gas bombs to shoot unarmed innocent people out for a night of fun, many of whom are dressed like other characters from Batman. Total overkill.

His mother's in California. He's driving a car with Tennessee plates. Guy's a real drifter, probably following internet friends. And he's in a state where wildfires have been raging for weeks and there's been a heatwave that's been making everyone crazy.
