Has anyone actually ever met a conservative that was cool person?

As in, "f*ck, that conservative guy is mad cool. He puffs mad weed, good fighter, dresses razor sharp, and swoops massive amounts of girls. And an all around cool cat too."

I am sure at least one must exist somewhere, but I have yet to meet one.

I met tom Selleck a few times when I was younger. I believe he is a big Republican supporter. He was cool. Other than him, I can't think of many.

Two of the coolest guys I know are super conservatives. They are brothers and really into bodybuilding and fitness and guns and stuff. Both are extremely disciplined and very polite but charismatic individuals. Could get any girl they wanted. When they walk around in public, bishes heads turn and follow them. They are Marines. Very inspiring. I really look up to those guys.

Even the guys that used to party the most at my University were conservatives.

I've never met a cool Liberal. Ever. Liberals are effeminate out of shape nerds from my personal experience. I live in the South though.

Back in law school, a group was talking about Jersey Shore. I dropped a simple comment of "Crazy Guido's" with a smile, and the entire group goes silent.

One guy, the only black guy in the group (since this was law school, him being black gave him automatic authority since blacks are top of the PC-totem pole) spoke to me:

"Um, we don't use those kinds of slurs around here."

"What word? Guido?"

"Yeah."

"But... that's what they call themselves on the show."

I looked around the group. Everyone was looking down.

And we moved on. But only liberals would give me a hard time with the word guido. Pathetic.


The #1 way I look to see if a guy is cool or not is to see how they handle political discussions.


If a guy can talk politics about any subject no matter the controversy, without getting emotional at all, and even laugh and joke about, then he's already above 90% of people I know in terms of coolness.

So when it comes down to liberals or conservatives? I've argued with tons of conservatives, but only a few times do they resort to name calling or walking out of the room.

Liberals, on the other hand, suck ass. They whine, fight, and bitch until they feel like they "win" the argument.

The only time you'll have difficulties with conservatives is if you start to defend abortion. Then about 95% of the time they'll go crazy.


But most of the time, conservatives embrace free speech and tolerance much more than their liberal cousins. That's just how it is in white America.

It's funny, I was racking my brain trying to think of any cool conservative famous people.

Think about it, every great musician, artist, actor, athlete, comedian, rapper are all not conservatives.

It's not like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin, Andy Warhol, Al Pacino, Bruce Lee, Floyd Mayweather Jr, Chris Rock and Tupac are conservative.

All cool famous people are liberal.

Even the coolest biz people are all liberal.

The only famous people that are conservative suck at things like Ted Nudgent.

I live in the 8th richest county in the US (Morris County, NJ). There aren't many blacks and the hispanics tend to congregate in the centers of the towns that have a train station (mainly Dover and Morristown). The people that I see on welfare are the young and families wrecked by the depression.

A living wage in Morris County is estimated at $17/hr and the minimum wage is $7.25 (there is talk of raising it to $8.50). To give you an idea of what it's like, I worked a full time job (40 hrs.) at $8/hr. By the time I chased my check ($5 dollar fee) and payed rent to live in a bedroom in a rooming house populated w/ drug addicts ($190), I had enough money left over to get myself a pack of smokes. It wasn't until my ex got a job that we were able to get our heads (barely) above water. In order to eat, I had to fight tooth and nail to get an extra 15 minutes for lunch so I could go to the soup kitchen. That was usually my only meal for the day.

The welfare debate shows the huge disconnect between the poor and the well to do. I once had a brief discussion w/ one of the members of the country club that I caddied at. The price of oil came up, and I made the remark that one of the often overlooked consequences of a rise in oil is the effect that it has on food prices. His response to me was "most people only spend 10% of their disposable income on food". I kept my mouth shut despite wanting to bring some reality to him. This was shortly before the shit hit the fan and over the winter 12 members cancelled their membership (boo hoo).

Are there people out there that abuse the system? Yes, I've seen it myself. However, they are a very small minority (heh) compared to everyone that utilizes the system.

The "conservatives" were accusing lot's of people in Hollywood of being communists, back then being labeled a "communist" was enough to ruin a persons' career, let alone his whole life, many actors in Hollywood pretended to be conservative, as opposed to be exposed to the "communist witch hunt."

Both sides get emotional and say things like "I will move to XYZ."

Realistically though the majority of people on both sides would never leave as they love it here too much.

In terms of conservatives saying "I will leave and go to XYZ" some have said Canada not because of the Canadian health care system but because Canada has a healthier economy then the United States. Several conservatives have said they will go to China/Asia likewise because of better economic conditions like Steve Wynn. Economics is often their motivation.
