Is Anyone Happy Where They Are ?

  1. Are you working to make hundreds of thousands a year?
  2. if you are, you may want to consider somewhere in the middle of the country. A place like atlanta has decent weather and is pretty cheap.
  3. You can make 200 grand a year and live in Manhattan, LA, or SF, or 75 grand and live even better in another country.
  4. you can have much better sexual opportunities in other countries, ESPECIALLY as an older established guy, where women want a man who is much older than them and takes control financially.
  5. If you are making 200k in the US, you may not leverage that to get very good pussy....whereas in Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, you'd have your pick of hot blondes all day long.

Thanks, I do appreciate the advice and perspective you have on this.

  1. Yes, I will have to work on location.
  2. Agreed, I lived in Atlanta for a few years and it did grow on me. It's a strong contender but I'm reluctant to settle because of my STRONG dislike for hip hop and southern culture. Hopefully guys in the midwest will post about their experiences living in places like Minneapolis or Chicago.
  3. I will eventually look into my options for living abroad but it's a huge responsibility that I'm not willing to commit to at this time.
  4. I get 2 months of vacation time annually so I will definitely visit Europe, Australia, Asia, etc. I may not live there but I can spend up to 2 months in a new country /countries, every year.
  5. I have to be careful about a lot of those places you mentioned since I am black, however when I was in NY I pulled lots of beautiful women from Russia and Eastern Europe (one of my ex GF's was Russian).

Is Anyone Happy Where They Are ?

Been in San Diego 12 years due to my Dod affiliations and other things. Finally packing up to move. Going to relocate to Las Vegas for the cheaper living and bigger international airport. I plan to be in the states about half the year, abroad the other half.

Pros to vegas for me:
gender ratio is bad, but at least the women are hot. Gender ratios are bad all over the states right now, so I don't even worry about it.
I'm a die-harder partier, so that checks.
I like the desert. I'm into shooting, skydiving, atvs, fresh water boating, vegas has all this in spades
CHEAP!
buffets!

I'm debating selling my house in NYC if I can move my pops somewhere cheap that he likes. He'll probably come with me and watch my place while I'm going.

MY 5 year plan is to relocate to Singapore in the East, Costa Rica in the west.

These days I can only recommend San Diego to women, not men.

Velkrum How big is that outdoors and activities component on your list for lifestyle?

I know people whom have lived in Minni and I have been there on short durations. For somebody like me whom likes nightlife Minni would be to quiet but it does offer a lot of activities to keep somebody busy. There's tons of lakes to fish, trails to hike, and the culture is big into exploiting the natural surroundings they have in the area.

I had no idea you were a brother so I guess that changes things a tad. In Minni you will largely stand out the majority of black population in Minni is ghetto and full of hooligans from Somalia. Being a clean cut, established brother with his shit together will contrast to the ruffians running wild in the City's north end.

I don't know how fit the City is, but it has a big running and biking culture which my guess would mean the City is quite fit in comparison to other parts of the nation. Plus a big thing about these mid-west spots is that they fund their cities quite well. Shit like Theaters, galleries, opera, ballet, parks (AKA easy targets to swoop top shelf broads). All the old money that used to swim around in those parts set up a stable civic scene which many newer cities like a Phoenix, etc struggle with.

Don't know much about Minneapolis, I do know that it's cold as fuck up there, and it's pretty damn white bread (not much diversity). I guess if you're a good looking professional black guy, you could probably develop a niche with white women, but there might be some more hidden racism you'd have to deal with.

I don't know if diversity matters, but Chicago and SF Bay Area are way better if you want to date a wider variety of women. SF Bay Area, actually seems to fit your criteria the best in a lot of ways. A lot of guys hate on the quality of women there, while it's certainly not the best, how bad it actually is could be debated to death.

I'd say there are a good amount of 6-7 in the bay, but 8+ becomes way more scarce, which in turn creates a lot of competition for 7s who really aren't that special. I think there may be even hotter women in some wealthier east bay towns like Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, Livermore, etc., but then you're out in the suburbs, which is lame because the nightlife sucks and everyone is a cookie cutter yuppie.

For a long time I was pressed on the idea of moving to SF, I really do like the city and "vibe", despite what the haters say. I know it doesn't have the best selection of top tier women, but it's still would be a major upgrade from the small town scarcity that I currently deal with. However, I don't think I will be making the move to SF, at least probably not anytime too soon.

If I do move there, I will have to probably accept certain realities, mostly that I will either have to scale back my lifestyle (get roommates in a small apartment, stopping eating out at fancy restaurants, trips abroad, etc.), or that I will have to simply blow through my savings. SF is fucking expensive! If you want to live in a simple one bedroom apartment expect to pay about $1500 for a shitty spot, and up to $3000 for a nice place. The average one bedroom apartment in the city in a cool neighborhood is going to be $2000 a month. Personally, that is way to expensive for my blood.

Outdoors and Activities are important.
Weekdays
  • Gym
  • Hiking
Weekends
  • Camping
  • White Water Rafting
  • Rock climbing
  • Biking
Nightlife
  • Bars - (6 x year)
  • Clubs - (1 x year)
  • Dining out - (4 x month)
  • Museums - (1 x year)
  • Galleries - (4x year)
  • Theaters - (4 x year)
Travel
  • International - (2-3 x year)
  • National - (Locum Tenens Work)
Minneapolis sounds good from your description.

I'm expecting it but i usually do well with breaking stereotypes and getting people to lower their guards around me.

Diversity is something I never thought of. I guess it can be important if one or several groups of women don't like me. Different ethnicities also have certain accentuated features as well (which is nice).

SF was pretty cool when I visited. I remember seeing a few attractive women. I'm not as picky as some guys are.

Must Have
  • Thick thighs
  • bug butts
  • Tiny waists
Any of the 3
  • muscular
  • athletic
  • curvy
Any girl that looks like this would be perfect for me:

Anything is possible. You just have to decide if you want it or not. what ever you choose, good luck.

Austin, TX is where it's at, but there are way too many hipsters and tools moving here.

It makes it easier when you're in predator mode, but the traffic...ugh. The roads can't handle the amount of cars.

Other than that, no complaints. I grew up in Tucson and I don't see or know anyone from my hometown here. It's great.

Also easy to hit the Dallas airport and travel anywhere.

Is Anyone Happy Where They Are ?

I'm currently in Houston, and I would like to move to Austin or Dallas.

The thing is the job I have pays well.

Jobs in Austin generally don't pay very well (in my field) and getting a job in Dallas requires that I fly to each interview or drive 4hrs+ (one way). So, right now I am contemplating my options.

I am thinking I will just travel more. I get 4 weeks of paid vacation at my job so I am thinking about scheduling some trips to South America (Argentina and Colombia are my top choices).

I do like Vancouver/bc. Plenty of things to do, scenery is amazing, skiing is close etc. The people are kind of lame and the place is full of hipsters and the bar scene isn't as I'd want it to be.

Once I grad I'm pretty set on getting out of here as fast as possible.
A) I want more life experience and a "New start" (more of a mental thing)
B) I read somewhere it's the most expensive city in north America. Unless I land a baller job I don't see myself sticking around too much longer.

Yes indeed in Vancouver your paying SF or almost NYC prices for half the fun. The quality of life is top notch in Vancouver, ideal for raising families but for a young playboy Vancouver does not offer that much bang for your buck. Also jobs are not that amazing over there, I am not sure of the averages but I know many people in Victoria whom have held off the move to Vancity since they make better money on the Island.

Definitely. All of the recent grads I've met are either working minimum wage in the service industry or are getting shit pay in a lab.

Now to figure out where to live and where to work.oh well I've got just under a year to figure that all out.

My criteria: cheap, availability of work, good transit, fly girls, safe.

Yes, there is a unspoken agreement among start-up companies and agencies to keep wages low. Although, I'd rather make substantially less and live in Austin than in Houston. I used to date a girl in Houston....it was a waste of time. The talent here is unbelievable; pick your flavor, it's all here, and the competition is modest at best.

ATX FTW

I've visited a lot of cities in Europe, South America and Asia but I still think my home city is the most liveable. There are too many hipsters though.

Yeah, been to Austin several times (on Friday & Saturday nights), and I was always impressed by the talent. However, Dallas also has some stunners as well. Plus, I would have to take a serious cut in pay if I moved to Austin (like $5,000-$10,000 per year less), so moving there definately has its downside.

Right now, Houston isn't too bad. I've been mostly hittinng up Midtown in Houston, but I don't want to stay here much longer. I figure I will move in the next year or two. Houston has a bit too conservative of a vibe for me and the nightlife is unimpressive for a city of its size. Plus, a lot of the decent white chicks in Houston are already engaged or married by their early to mid twenties.

What are your favorite spots in Austin, by the way? Alway looking for intel on Austin since I go there every now and then.
