Nicaragua

So last December I decided to go to Belize. I got my flag, humped some tourist girls, got super trashed, went diving, and had the greatest time of my life.

I decided to do it again, but in Nicaragua. Which, do to the lack of forum information, I thought would be a possible poosie paradise. I was wrong.

Country And Culture:

Nicaragua very much a third world country, in fact it´s the second poorest nation in the entire Western Hemisphere. Despite this the people are very proud and put a lot of effort into things like a cleanly appearence and social customs. It has a very hot and humid climate, and is home to a diverse set of cultures that vary depending on which part of the country you are in. Most of the country is Latin American, but the Atlantic coast has a large Afro-Carribean population. Important The Nicaraguans speak choppa Spanish, it´s where endings to words are cut off. I can´t vouch for this, but my dad told me that they speak like this in Argentina as well.

Background: Since everyone´s expiriences will differ here´s some information about myself. I´m a dude from a small Mid-West town, my Spanish is passable, and I rolled to Nicaragua solo (because all my friends are pussies who don´t travel).

Places I hit up:

Managua: My first night was here and it was awesome. Until I woke up the next morning to find that I had been robbed of my Visa Travel card and now only had $20 USD. My Spanish is okay, but it wasn´t up to snuff with being able to find out where the U.S. Embassy was, or navigating the cities winding and chaotic streets. I did end up getting to the embassy and getting my money transferred, which was cool. But I also got sevre dehydration and ended up looking like Hunter S. Thompson on his ether binge in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I spent most of the day relaxing after that, and then went out to daygame before heading to one of the nearby clubs. At the club, it was a total susuage fest and had an infestation of ugly ass hookers (one was missing teeth). I ended up leaving around tenish. When I got back to my hotel I decided I wanted something to eat from the food cart 20 feet from my setup, and while walking over there got jumped by three guys. Luckily I´m a fast runner, because I juked around two of the dudes while I shouted for police (was this beta?) the guys were pretty amatuer and the ran off into the dark again. That was the last time I went out at night in Managua.

Game Venues: The Huge ass mall (Cento commercial, or something like that, I´m waiting for my flight so I don´t have my day game map I made with me) you´ll know when your by it. Just do standard daygame and you´ll be cool. Also there are a lot of hot chicks in this area and some of them even speak English.

Ometepe Island: The women here are pretty fugly (we´ll get to teh wimmenz overall in a jiff, so don´t worry) so I basically just did adventurer tourist shit here. I climbed La Conception (which is a volcano) and I went to a wildlife park (which was awesome). Also I stayed in a shitty hotel where all my clothes got infested with bedbugs.

Game Venues: My tour guide invited me to go hangout at a beach party with him, there were girls there. But nothing worth putting your dick in. Same goes for the bars and little discos.

Rivas: I spent a Sunday and a Monday at Rivas. Sunday was awesome because I was the only guest in a pretty nice hotel with all female staff. I macked on the hot ones, and felt pretty pimp here, compared to the rest of my trip. Also I did some shopping and stuff for the fam back home.

Bluefields: I liked this place the best. I got my flag here (19 year old Punta Dancer who´d only been with one guy before. I fucked her within 24 hours of meeting her), and Palo de mayo was pretty fun. And Tulu Lulu is a holiday thing right afterwards, so if you come here at the end of May begging of June you get two holidays for one. (Warning I thought that Palo de Mayo would be like Brazil´s Carnival or something, it´s basically like the state fair back in America). Also I went island hopping for fun and went swimming.

Game Venues: Club Cima is a good choice, also Palo de Mayo was sweet. Daygame is good around 4 pm - 5ish on weekdays, because everyone is out shopping.

Women: Nica has some ugly ass women. The high startch diet produces a ton of fatties. Also I don´t think they have good dental care down here, because I saw a ton of toothless women. Managua is prime real estate for game, because it has a more middle class economy (in some spots) and more girls who are in college. Also the women in Managua are more open to talking to foreigners, in a lot of the other places I´d catch a girl checking me out. But when I´d approach her she´d shyly look down and won´t really talk. I didn´t see many tourists (maybe a dozen over my whole trip, and most of the other internation travellers I saw were Red Cross/Aid types).

Money and clothes: Since Nicaragua is poor it´s really cheap to travel down here. I spent almost nothing once I got here (like less than 50 dollars a day, including hotel, sometimes). Also I brought with a couple dress shirts (nothing fancy Armani-Exchange and Nordstrums Rack stuff), pocket squares, and my teal Ralph Lauren sneakers (they cost me $14 on ebay) and girls thought I was a baller. Which was a double edged sword because a lot of them tried getting me to buy them shit and what not (but, other than one drink once, I just told them to fuck off).

Scams and staying Safe: Take taxis everwhere, but ask how much first (one guy tried charging me 15 USD to go six blocks). Also Nica is home to a mountain of pickpockets and con men. The con men guys are retards and there stories suck, just tell them to fuck off (basically you´ll be telling a lot of people to fuck off down here) or ignore them. Also avoid anyone who seems overly friendly. Also the clubs down here are susuage fests and knid of dangerous to be in solo. One time a gaggle of beta male Nicas got pissed that I was dancing with a girl, so they stole our drinks, started cursing at us, and started tossing out threats. I noticed that Nica is kind of racist (which I will let slide, because of all the fucked up shit the U.S. did to it, see supporting the Contra and the 1920´s United Fruit strike), but still it got on my nerves and I didn´t like it at all.

Overall I had a decent, but not great time here. I know that everyone´s expiriences differ, but I´m gonna give Nica a 5/10.

Thanks for the datasheet Cookie.

Was tempted to visit Nicaragua for the surfing. But heard it was pretty unsafe, sounds stressful dealing with the scumbags all day

Good shit. What's next for you? El Salvador? Haha. There is a reason people avoid those two countries. You have some balls on you tho. Solo off the beaten path. If you want danger, at least go to Caracas and enjoy some of the most beautiful women in the world.

I wish I was in the states. I would have been down for the trip. I'll be back next summer. Moving to Mexico for long term stay. Maybe we can rip through central america together.

The cycle of disrespect can start with just an appetizer.

Nica is the safest of the Central American countries, because fewer people go there - Mara Salva are hardly present like in ES. That will change as local boys realize how dumb everyone really is. The OP is a candidate for the Darwin awards for walking around at night in Managua. I hope he learned something.

Dangerous is San Salvador, San Pedro Sula or Ciudad de Guatemala (or the Guate-Mexican border crossing in the South).

Nicaraguan spanish they drop the s'es at the end of words, so "dos" becomes "do" and "eres" or "estas" becomes "ere" or "está"... you get used to it. Nica women are hideous, some of the black girls on the Carribean are pretty, though. The sugar/starch diet does make them fat. Managua is the only place with hot locals, I don't know if you could bang them though, but Managua is a shitty town and only good for business. The rest of the country is far more interesting. Leon is a huge student town. If you're there during the school year (april - december) I'd go there. I was there during the "summer" and winded up seeing a salsa teacher for a while, other than her, I saw no attractive locals.

And I already provided info on nica several places in here. Nica is a great place for surfing at all levels.

A year from now you'll wish you started today

From all the Latin American threads, it seems now there are only 3 countries really worth visiting, for the ladies: Colombia, Brazil and the Dominican Republic. Everywhere else seems a level or 2 lower.
I would not mind a country like Nicaragua or Ecuador, with their lower quality, if only you could bang a new young girl almost every night, like in SE Asia. But unfortunately, that is not the case.
Nice job for trying a tough new environment and the data sheet.

Oh by the way I wasn't trying to fear monger or anything like that and a lot of the people down there were pretty cool. If you want to go to Nica, go for it. It's just not very good for game. It was alright, but I think I went in with way to high of expectations and should have found someone to go with (which is a huge problem where I live, because a lot of people won't even leave the state. And no one sees the point in travel).

@Texasmade - I might be going to Mexico for Christmas break. Possible meetup?

@Eljefe - Sorry I didn't find the stuff you posted on Nica. Also if it saves any face, I was literaly walking across the street when I got jumped. Everywhere else I took a cab.

Good post Cookie.
I spent some time in Nica a few years back and reading this brought back some memories. Quality in Nica is generally very low, I would rank it neck and neck with Ecuador. However I was able to pull a cutie college chica at a nightclub in managua and there were some decent chicks in Leon. I went to ometepe island too when they were doing some kind of festival celebration so it was pretty lively. I grabbed a cute Nica/Tica there as well, we fooled around but I didn't have enough time for the bang.

That sucks that you got jumped.I roamed around managua a few times alone at night and didn't have any problems but I wouldn't recommend this to someone who doesn't speak fluent spanish and couldn't pass as Nica.

I didn't make it to the caribbean side but if I ever return I would like to touch down over there. Are most of the girls in Bluefields dark-skinned black or is there a good variety?

Thanks for taking one for the team Cookie

You've got a lot of guts to go there solo and try to game even

I've never been there, but I've never seen a Nica woman in the US who wasn't ugly

There's a decent variety in Bluefields, the catch is finding quality, as with much of the rest of Nicaragua. They're there, but finding them requires some effort. I was there during Tonatown two years ago (A Reggaeton dance festival) and there were a lot of pretty hot women there, and almost all of them were latinas.

When you say almost all of them were latinas, do you mean they were mestiza-nicas, as in NOT the local black nicas? Not trying to split hairs, just trying to understand you better.

Yes, that's what I mean. The way it seemed to go down that night is all the local black nicas went to the fair, and all the mestizos went to the dance hall. There were a few exceptions to that, but not many.

You went to Nica and didnt hit up Granada, San Juan Del Sur, Leon, Masaya or Corn Islands?!?

What was the name of the club you went to in Managua?

Bro, I am at a loss for words and perplexed by your trip! lol Kudos for going and sharing your experience!

I don't think walking 20 feet from his hotel to grab some food quite qualifies him for the Darwin awards.

I loved Nicaragua, but managua sucks really bad.

Granada and Ometepe are both worthed visiting; altough the later one has no game whatsoever. Climbing the volcanoes are a good experience.

Safety can be an issue, and speaking spanish would help you a lot.

Yeah, the girl I ended up with was like a 6.5, but she was super humble and super feminine (which was awesome). She wanted to repay me for a beer I bought her, and she wore heels and a dress every time she came over/we went out.

I was down there for a little under three weeks so I didn't have a ton of time to go everywhere and try and get my flag. Also I really fucked up with my travel plan (I realize now), because before i got down there I had planned on chasing after local girls only. On my last night there I hit up a more touristy sports bar and hung out with some backpackers. They basically told me that I should have went the tourist route, since the backpacker chicks are hotter and easier to pull (as I mentioned in my op, a lot of the women aren't very talkative with strangers) also I won't have been heckled as much.

I liked the country itself and I had an overall good time, and yeah I need to work on my Spanish a lot more. It's okay for basic stuff, but in no way was it up to the level it should have been.

I think that the trip overall just kind of taught me that I need to prepare and plan better from now on (i.e. don't just assume local girls will be hot and want foreign cock, and do way more language stuff than just the Pimsluer lessons).

I have a friend from high school that somehow ended up being a 25% owner in a coffee farm in Nica. I lived with him for 2 weeks in California in the fall. He was often on the phone with his "hot" Nica girlfriend. He thought she was quite the catch but I never saw pictures of her. He is pretty ripped though, and was quite a player in high school, so I trust that he did find a gem down there. Anyhow, he spoke highly of Nica, though admitted that there are major problems there, one of which is constant natural disasters which destroy the economy.
