It seems to me like there are other rules such as "no text speak" and possibly more since I've noticed members with thousands of posts being banned.
Is there a more extensive list that new members should know about?

^^^. I think we've addressed this before, but listen to Mr. Suits. You probably weren't here for the discussions.
Sometimes things happen that just aren't on your RADAR. So, the guy that gets banned "for no apparent reason," certainly did something messed up.
The "warning" system seems to be effective. I've been here for a long time. I've only had 2 warnings. I got one because I said something derogatory (although it was a bit innocent, I think, just guys talking, but there has to be rules).... It was a light warning 30%, if I recall correctly, and couldn't post for a few days. Got another that was just Roosh saying change your avatar, which was, admittedly, inappropriate--no post ban, just him saying change it.
In both cases I saw my error and just fixed it. Two light warnings in 6 years and if you comply, the warnings go away... I don't see it as being "unreasonable." If you make an honest mistake or even a slight fuck-up, a warning is coming and not a ban. If you continue to make the same mistake over and over after being warned, then that's what the warning was for and you'll get banned.
If you blow a gasket and go off the deep end, well, you get what you get.

How do I resize a pic? Because size matters. Sometimes.
Edit: Okay. Found it:

Is there any forum section or way of making threads not visible to non-members, or at least to not be indexed by search engines?
Some forums have this feature, if you add a special tag to your thread title, they will not be visible publicly, only to logged in members (the thread will show up to everyone in the forum list, but when opening it will show a message saying you have to log in to see it). Even some forums have a tag to make the thread not accessible to anyone that was not registered at least 3 months before the thread creation or to people with at least 10 messages.
I think it would be a great feature, at the bare minimum to prevent indexing in search engines, so we would sometimes be able to share details with more peace of mind without fear of getting bit in the ass years later when that thread somehow is found by the general public.
I understand this forum is a great tool for Roosh to bring traffic by having so much content show up on google, so maybe have a limited amount of times per month / year that you are allowed to create such threads per user for example would be a good balance.

New to the forums as I stumbled across them in a web search and wanted to follow up on something another member posted, but it's not letting me send a PM. Do I need to make a bunch of insightful posts before I can PM or some such, or is there some other magic trick involved?

New members cannot create new threads.
It's to prevent them spamming the forum with low quality or duplicate threads.
Use the search function at the top of the page, and add your thoughts or questions to old existing threads by bumping them with a new post.
99% of topics you are interested in or want to discuss have already been covered in the 10 years this forum has already been online.

Can someone explain the waiting time between each post? I have to wait something like 2000 seconds. Is this permanent or does it go away at some point? Thanks
