Is there any truth to Astrology and Compatibilty?

Only the closed- or small-minded dismiss an idea without examination. There is certainly a measure of wishful thinking and poor application of esoteric ideas. But in my experience I've seen patterns emerge, especially when you consider human design which I've investigated quite thoroughly. It's helped me understand my own interests / aversions, and decision-making process. I've used it to understand many romantic partners and to assist clients in seeing parts of their talents they've otherwise overlooked. Human design to a degree integrates and expands upon astrology, I Ching, chakras, Kaballah, etc.

The universe is full of subtle energies and dimensions. It's very easy for men especially (as much as we like to imagine ourselves 'grounded in reality') to dismiss subtle energies as BS, but dig deeper. It can take you down a rabbit hole you might not be ready for and that's fine. But don't dismiss it as 'garbage' simply because you really don't get it, or don't want to.

Astrology is fine as a conversation piece but I don't put too much stock in it.

One thing I do find interesting is that I get along pretty well with people (both men & women) whose sign is 6 months opposite of mine.
Anyone else have this experience?

I had an astrological reading done for my birthday. It was based off of the Nostradamus method. The use the exact location, time and date of your birth to calculate planetary and constellation positions during the time of your birth and now, generate charts based off of that, and then interpret it for you. It was very specific and accurate, I felt. My reader was able to pinpoint significant changes in my life and the years that they occurred. The reader also give me a better picture of the person who I am. I believe in it.

The ancients knew a thing or two about the effects stars, constellations, and other interplanetary bodies had on organisms of this planet, especially on humans.

Alright. Show me one effective repeatable experiment or observation that consistent in any way. I will wait as long as needed and I will go out of my way to attempt to repeat said experiment as long as it's within reason. And please, none of that horoscope nonsense involving vague adjectives that allow the reader to ascribe any meaning she wishes. Or is it just like "all about the energies man". If you claim it is religion or faith based I am out, that's not my dog that's not my fight.

Might I remind you if you don't come up with a repeatable observation or experimet you are effectively peddling mysticism and snake oil to people that need reason and structure doing much more harm than good. Which is irresponsible and like totally bad karma man it's probably bad for your soul chakra man

Responses to Common Scientific Criticisms of Astrology

In this episode astrologer Samuel F. Reynolds joins the show to talk about some common criticisms of astrology from the scientific and skeptical communities, and how astrologers respond to those criticisms.

Astrology occupies a unique position in society where it has historically been the subject of criticism from both the scientific as well as the religious communities.

In this episode we set out to address some of the criticisms of astrology from scientists, and then in a followup episode we plan to address other criticisms from different religions.

Personally I'm very intrigued by astrology but I don't consider it a science, more of an irrational art form.
