KG still has the fadeaway. Bosh will never be able to get that move down.

KG needs the fadeway because his face up game isn't quick, he can't take the rock to the basket. I still say you guys need to watch Bosh, don't sleep on him, he can change the flow of the game.

No one can guard him, look at where he wants to get the ball and when he gets it there, how effective he is.

If Miami want to win, they will need a half court game and this is where Bosh eats.

P.S. I am not saying this because he was a former Toronto player either. I'm calling a spoon a spoon.

Bosh was an all star with toronto because the rest of the team was hot garbage. Now he's an all star by his association to james and wade.

Durant got it right when he said Bosh is a fake tough guy.

Indy is going to make some noise this year. They currently sit in the 3rd seed at the east and whichever team they match up with in the 2nd round is going to get a run for their money. I just hope it's not my Bulls.

Orlando and Atl will be one and done most likely.

Really hoping Milwaukee gets into the 8th seed so that the Bulls have 7 home games in the 1st round.

7 Home games? How? I am not aware of this...

Bulls - Bucks games draw many more Bulls fans to Milwaukee. That's why I refer to Bulls - Bucks games in Milwaukee as extra home games. Those games aren't broadcasted nationally, so you guys outside of the local markets won't get to see it without the NBA league pass.

1) but his post game is still better than bosh. he doesn't go to it as much as his minny days, but he's still more effective on the block. KG is obviously not as athletic as he used to be, but he's still better at passing AND better at running the half court offense with rondo.

2) seriously? he's effective at hitting the wide open shot and getting easy dunks. every now and then he'll get a good dunk on the highlight reel, but that doesn't constitute the majority of his game.

3) bosh isn't the half court type of player though. when people think of bosh, they don't think of a guy who can get the ball in the post and dazzle defenders with various fakes and spins (ala hakeem and duncan), or a guy who can just overpower someone and get posters (ala shaq); he is what he is... a jumpshooting power foward, and nothing but that. where is the rebounding? 2nd chance points? hustle? defense?

there's certainly nothing wrong with being a good jump shooter though, it's just that bosh doesn't really have an impact on the game. he'll get you stats, but most of his stats are just empty. look at toronto.... he was putting up big numbers but that team still got nowhere. just a product of playing of awful players like bargs, but he doesn't have the impact of a player like a dwight who can play next to absolute scrubs and still be in the playoff race.

You can't be an allstar by association. No one will give you the allstar clout cos you play with trash. Whether your entire team is sensational or hot mess, you don't get allstar.

By your admission, then Garbageannie from the Raptors should be an allstar. Toronto have been touting him as this and that since they drafted him and I knew from draft night (I was there at the Rogers centre) that it was a mess taking that goat.

Watch Bosh carefully. He's legit on the post. Remember that his sweet spot is in the mid post region. If they can get him the rock there, he will go to work. Fcuk whether he is a tough guy or not. It's the NBA, not MMA. All people need to be concerned with is whether he can score not if he looks like an estranged ostrich.

Will get to watch tonight. Bulls and Heat go at it. Noah held Bosh to 3-15 shooting last game. He'll have to do the same thing tonight and their future matchups.

Did you see what Andrew Bynum did to the Spurs last night?!?

He embarrassed Tim Duncan. He is clearly better then Duncan now. Bigger, stronger, faster, more explosive, and his skill level and confidence is getting better every week.

I have always loved the Spurs and I still root for them but they are finished. Mostly, because Duncan is too old. He can barely jump anymore. He can't defend the rim. He can't compete against the best big men anymore. They have no one else to help Timmy down low, Splitter is not ready, Diaw is big enough, Blair is too small, they have no post defense. This is why Zach Randolph kicked their ass in the playoffs last year.

If you can't control the paint, you can't win in the playoffs.

How bout those Celtics beating Miami again?!? Brandon Bass has helped them alot.

Good one tonight - Heat vs Bulls. Amazing that the Heat beat them 4-1 in the playoffs last year and Lebron locked up D-rose's penetration.

Lakers are starting to make a push.

Duncan is obviously well past his prime but still good enough to make the Spurs a contender. Duncan is the best PF to ever play the game. Your best argument would be Karl Malone but for me the rings do the talking. That being said, with the emergence of Bynum the Lakers can definitely compete in the west and for the championship. Sessions was a great addition at the PG spot and if Pau can step his game up in the playoffs they will be very tough to beat.

Celtics are still a team to be reckoned with. They have several scoring options and Rondo really does it all for them...you could make a decent argument for Rondo as MVP. I couldn't imagine how good he would be if he had a respectable jumper.

Miami is going to feel so much pressure during the playoffs so it will be interesting to see how they handle it.

Lebron was able to slow down DRose last year but DRose's jumper has improved tremendously. Coming off of the injury might slow him down a bit but he will be able to get the first round of the playoffs in before facing any formidable challenges. Home court advantage will be huge for Chicago. Chicago's two back-up PG's are showing that they can play but we will see if that holds true when it really matters.

Just want to throw in Duncan's accomplishments so we can realize how great he truly is/was. 4 Championships, 3x finals MVP, 2x regular season MVP, 12x all star, 9x NBA first team, 8x NBA defensive first team and tons of college accomplishments as well. I love Duncan because he seems like a great guy. He doesn't say much as he prefers to let his game do the talking.

Go Spurs! I met Tim Duncan when I was a young buck living in SA. Very humble guy who doesn't ever mind signing autographs and doing the picture thing. Completely different than all these idiots on other teams

Not just Chicago's backup PG's. They are 2 deep at every position. The only other team with remotely close depth is Oklahoma City, but their bench depth is limited to Collison and Harden. The Bulls bring a whole starting unit off their bench in Watson, Brewer, Korver, Gibson, and Asik. Most of these guys would start on other teams. That is the key to their playoff run IMO.

Yes! Maybe the most under-rated superstar of all time and the best PF ever. Karl Malone couldn't deliver in the playoffs, Rodman used to kick Karl's ass in the finals.

I'm interested to see how Ginobili holds up this year. I hope he has a little magic left!

Tony Parker is amazing.

Can the Bulls get by Miami? Tonight will be interesting. The Bulls have more depth but Miami has the 2 best athletes on the court. Is that fucking crazy? D-rose is one of the best athletes on the planet but Miami has 2 guys more athletic then him. Well, I guess Rose and Wade are pretty close but Lebron is like a 6'9 version of Rose. I'm not sure Chicago has enough scoring punch??

Yes, I played small college and in Mexico as well as some minor leagues in the US. I really wasn't as good as the guys you see on TV but I tried hard and played smart. I modeled myself after John Stockton.

Ask away! Lets talk some hoops!

What type of exercises do you recommend for strengthening the knee? Or maybe a good knee brace to wear that doesn't feel clunky like a Patrick Ewing special?

Also, what do you recommend for improving the vert (hops)?

I've never had any knee problems so I can't really speak on this. I'm not sure you can actually "strengthen" the knee since it has no muscles. What you can do is strengthen the leg muscles around the knee. As far as the knee itself, well, it is made up of ligaments, tendons and cartilage. These things can be "strengthened" by stretching them. Making them more flexible will make the knee less "tight" and less prone to injury. Flexibility of joints is highly under-rated. Flexibility makes you faster, quicker, more explosive and less likely to get hurt.

I recommend Yoga or some serious knee stretching, stretch the muscles around the knee. Try to stretch the ligaments and tendons inside the knee, that is some serious stretching that pros do. I don't know anything about braces.

Also, it really helps to ice your knees after every workout/game to reduce swelling and inflammation.

A combination of things..

Jump rope
Power cleans
Plyometrics
Squats
Running on the beach
Jumping on the beach
Plyometrics on the beach
Dunking a tennis ball over and over again for 100 reps. (if that is easy for you then try dunking a medicine ball/heavy ball 100 times)

Stockton was boring to watch! He was a HOF but he reminds me of watching WNBA, great fundamentals but no fast bursts! It's like watching my Maths teacher play!

Boring to watch for the average fan. Of course the average fan knows very little about the finer points of the game. I though he was boring to when I was a kid but as I got older I realized how uncanny his vision, awareness, and passing abilities were. He was also a great shooter and tough defender, even for his size.

No fast bursts???

Not true, he had one of the quickest first steps in the league. But, he rarely used a full explosion because he didn't need to. His game was more mental then physical yes, but, when he needed to, he could accelerate with anyone at the pg position. It's just that he rarely used it, he didn't have too, he beat you in subtle little ways. He would accelerate, get a half step on you, and then slow down to make a perfect pass. He didn't play a fast game, but he was fast when he needed to be. I've seen interviews with Gary Payton, Magic, Isiah and they say he was an amazing athlete. Steve Nash was very similar, He doesn't look fast, but when you try to pressure him he goes by you effortlessly, they only use enough speed to beat you, nothing more, nothing less. I'm not saying he was as fast as Tony Parker or Iverson or D-rose, but, for that first step or 2 he could get by you. And, as you know, the first step is the most important and usually the one that creates your advantage!

Stockton was fascinating to me. 5'10 165 pound guy who was a dominate player. Still the all time leader in assists and steals. Missed like 9 games in over 20 years. He was a freak of nature really. I talked to a guy who played high school ball with him. He said he has never seen Stockton get tired ever in his life!

My favorite games were when was in his mid to late 30's and younger guts would try to pressure him full court. Even at that age he would go right by guys in there early 20's.

His son plays for Gonzaga now and has that same "sneaky" quickness. Derron Williams and Chris Paul are also "sneaky" quick. Westbrook, Rose, Parker, etc. are just flat out speed demons who are faster then these guys, but, knowing WHEN to go is often more important then how fast you go. One step is all it takes to get your advantage.

If you ever see any of his old games, watch the short bursts of acceleration. Very subtle but deadly.

And, I know you loved his shorts!
