Can the strawberry game activate anti-slut defense?

This one that Deepdiver posted from "Captain Jack CJ" sounds really forced and clownish, not at all like the one Roosh presented in Bang. Just look up that one in the book, Gio. You'll see that it really does sound mystic and appropriately elegant (plus founded in an "actual science" of Japanese Kokology), not like this one. If I ran it that way I'd be running into anti-slut defense on every turn!

Thanks for clarifying that.

Yep. If you don't have Bang, I think it's quite a valuable book even for experienced players. It formed a lot of my learning process half a decade ago, but even today I could discover many useful tidbits in it. Anyways, I'll PM you that short segment so you can see the difference.

Girls ASD goes up because shes afraid of being judged.

This game should be used to frame her sexually and let her show you approve of her sexual tendencies.

Isn't it by Neil strauss? maybe a cube routine is by him? not sure..

he mentions both of them in "the game." That was the first pua book i read back in high school, summer of grade 11 I believe. I remember because ive tried both the cube and strawberry fields on girls when I was in highschool.

You got to be socially savvy about these things. If she isn't already giving clear signs of attraction, you could easily make a fool of out of yourself by pulling a gambit like the strawberry fields game.

But if she's already into you, you've already been touching her, she's vibing with you and laughing at your jokes - then that'd be a good time to try something like this to amp it up further, as long as you present it smoothly in the course of the conversation.

On the other hand, just because something worked in the past doesn't mean it's still a smart move. There may well be girls who will immediately recognize this as pickup move. It's not a disaster if you get called out, but it doesn't help things either.

Strawberry Game is really good. It's lighthearted and not to be taken too seriously. If you run it on a girl, don't say it as if you're screening her for the military, do it as it's supposed to be done: In a flirty and fun manner.

Yeah, I think some people here aren't understanding the context that you use this routine in. It's after you've already been interacting in a flirty, fun, non-logical way, gotten some touching and push-pull going. On a first date this might be after we've gone back to my place, we're sipping our drinks with music playing, and she's sitting next to me on the couch with my hand around her ass. It gives her that last bit of sexual priming that she needs before you go for the makeout. It's not something you can use to build attraction that's not already there--that would likely be perceived as an obvious "player move." You're playing a fun game that will tell you things about her and strengthen the connection between you.

I actually haven't done the strawberry game in a long time, even though I always had success with it. Ever since I started running Tuth's first date bang recipe I've found that a girl coming back to your place after 1 round of drinks knows what's up and is almost always down to make out (what she doesn't expect is that I'm gonna escalate like an RVF champ and "one thing will lead to another"). That's nothing against the routine, I've just found it to be unnecessary in that situation.

Don't rely on routines. Just go up to a girl and tell her that you eat ass.

^ this might sound like I'm trolling, but I'm serious. Having a pair of balls will always be better than any scripted stuff you might come up with.

I wouldn't say he's relying on routines. Just that he does incorporate the Strawberry Game routine into his normal method.

Do you ever tell the same story twice? Ever notice that girls like a certain way you kiss them or pull their hair, so you do it again with other girls? If so, what you have there is a routine--a move or series of moves that you do repeatedly because they've been empirically found to work and optimized through trial and error.

None of this means that you can't also present yourself confidently and have the balls to say and do what comes to mind. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Regardless, the whole pro-routine/anti-routine debate has been done to death many times over and I have no desire to get into it. The point I was making is just that if you're going to use the strawberry game then it helps to be clear about what its purpose is and what range of situations you want to use it in. A lot of guys' criticisms in this thread seem to stem from this kind of contextual misunderstanding.
