Inspired by el mech's
scratch off thread I was reminded of an old favourite place to take girlies - greyhound races. Cheap, fun and easy with chance of a windfall and certain odds of pussy.
I sometimes take girls to the greyhound track as a casual little date, sometimes day 2's. Fields are a lot smaller than horse racing so your odds of picking a winner are a lot better.
Always a good time, particuarlly when you walk away couple of hundred up from $20 buy in and take the girl home.
Make it a surprise tell her to dress up. Shell be jumping for joy and all over you when her little $5 bet pays off. Cheap possibly lucrative time out, I rarelly walk away down cash.

No greyhound tracks around here, but there are two horse-tracks. I've been known to take dates there. Not terribly expensive, plus there's the chance of winning back what you spent.
I like to bet one decent horse and the long-shot every race. A few weeks ago the long-shot in a particular race won, paying about $55 on a $2 bet if I remember correctly. Enough to take care of betting and beers for the afternoon. One of the local tracks is also all-smoking.
Going to the horse-track is also a great excuse to get dressed up in my opinion.
Let's keep the "gambling game" shit going. Good trend.
I need to spend some more time at one of the nearby casinos. One of them has a pretty popular nightclub... If you've got a room in the casino hotel, logistics are completely in your favor.

I've never considered this, but there is a horse track around my neck of the woods. I usually do pretty well there and might just need to invite someone along next time I go.

I do this. We also have simulcast at Tampa bay downs horse track that's open late with a good bar and food. It's halfway inbetween my house and Tampa which works great for online dates.
What I do is make the girl pick dozens of superfecta combinations on a piece of paper then we play them. Another way to get her excited is to play whichever horse or dog she picks to "Show" so she wins. Keep the drinks flowing of course.
This idea will piss some activist type skanks off.

Yeah I usually convince girls to bet for a show or place as we call it in Aus, unless they are betting on a sure thing. If shes loosing all night long it can drag the mood down a bit no matter how well things are going otherwise. Besides if shes winning every race, slowlly building bank and I've had a few losses then its just another opportunity to inject some fun conversation.
I've even taken girls to dive sports bars with betting and TV's to watch the races - kinda place where the bartenders look at you strange if you order anything other than a beer or whisky. Shoot some pool, place some bets - good times. It's all new to her.

What I'm also taking from this doing something with a chick that she's never done with anyone else before. Many of us probably don't live near a dog or thoroughbred racing track, but the premise is coming up with someplace totally different or unusual to take her that will be fun.

Timeto - yeah, take her out of her comfort zone. Particularly if she is a girly girl take her somewhere a bit manly - doesn't work as well for tomboys. Really though its just about new and unusual experiences. Every chump takes her out for dinner or to a coffee shop, be different. Do what you want to do, not what you think she will like. If you are having fun 9 times out of 10 she will just follow along.
I used to race cars and was heavily into the scene working in the industry for a while. I'd take them to the track on the weekend, not a day 2 thing, but girls loved it. Saw something I was passionate about, saw how plugged in I was, new sights and sounds.
I also take girls up an old lookout tower, bit of adventure getting there, incredible views (girls would say it was romantic) and its a secluded area with a nice platform to get down and dirty - something she will never forget.
Golf driving range if the girl is a bit sporty but has never played, get to teach her something, hands all over her body showing correct swing. Poke fun at how much she sucks, have a little competition. Make some sexual little bets about hitting or getting closest to a certain mark. Mini golf is fun as well, but chances are a girl may have done it before.
Whatever works for you.

There's a greyhound track near me-I'll have to try this idea
I discovered this "new and exciting adventure" angle works on girls years ago.
One of the best is to take her shooting- the less experience she has with guns the better because it will be more of a thrill for her.
Leftie chicks who claim to hate guns are the best of all-you become the bad boy who is corrupting her with your "evil" guns. Wetness is almost guaranteed. Bonus points for an AR-15
But ....oh lawd... you must carefully explain the safety rules to all chicks and watch her like a hawk at all times while the guns are out
I've found golf also works well. Let her drive the cart-they really enjoy that- and have her "caddy" a little for you. This gives you an excuse to give her orders "My five iron please" and tease her when she makes mistakes. Show her how to swing ( kino) and let her take some putts on the greens. But only do this if you are a halfway decent golfer-whiffing, shanking and constantly hitting the ball into the woods will lower your value. I am only an average golfer but that seems to be good enough- some passable drives and approach shots and she will be impressed. Last year a girl told me that seeing my muscles as I swung and hearing the pop of the ball at impact excited her.
Casinos are also good. The excitement she picks up from the atmosphere is easily transferred to arousal. Just make sure that whatever games you play you are thoroughly familiar with their rules, strategy and etiquette. Uncertainty here will make you look like a typical rube, while being comfortable and masterly at the table will impress her with your aura of sophistication.
The best games for you to play are craps and blackjack. Craps is fast, exciting and masculine and not too difficult for you to explain to her. And she can bet easily on the pass line. Blackjack is good for you to play if you understand Basic Strategy as you can demonstrate mastery. Don't let her play much if she doesn't know the strategy as she will likely lose consistently and become discouraged.
Baccarat is not bad since no real skill is involved in betting-it's a game of pure chance- but the rules are complicated and she may become confused.
Roulette is a good game to get her involved in- girls seem to have a particular liking for it.I think they like the different colored chips and the slower pace and maybe the association with gambling in movies. You can show her how to place the various bets and let her go to town. I like to play roulette at either the beginning or the end of an evening since its slower pace seems amenable to these times.
My signature roulette move-Late at night, I pass by a busy roulette table with good looking girls at which the dealer is just about to put the ball in play, or even better when it's already circling the wheel. I whip out a $100 bill and slap it down on either red or black and say loudly "Money plays!" The dealer will acknowledge me by echoing "Money plays!". I accept my win or loss and walk away. If you're with a chick she will be impressed with your decisiveness and recklessness and your mysterious gambling lingo and if you're alone, the girls at the table will definitely notice you for the same reason.

Mechanico - greyhound or horses? Which one do you recommend to take girls out to for my cheap ass? I've never even thought about trying to flip money there. Is it fairly easy to at least double what you put in? If things go as planned, I'll go with this 31 yr old Friday night and report back.
The gun range is a good one if she's never shot one. WATCH HER LIKE A HAWK like mrxy said though. I let a girl use my 9mm a while back and this bitch accidentaly pointed it at me, so I screamed for her to point it away. She freaked out and dropped it!

houston, question wasn't directed at me but (here in Australia at least) for the average punter greyhounds is safer bet for doubling your money. Less than 1/10 times I'd walk away with a loss, maybe 2/10 I'll be between break even and double, the rest I'm doubling, tripling and more. Last month I started with my usual $40 bankroll (I fully expect to lose it, if I do there is no stress) and walked away with $370-something. I only study form guides at the track, no research or anything beforehand. I've gotten to know a couple of owners and trainers, but I rarely rely on tips.
I have never had the same consistent results with horse racing. Sure you can get longer odds and occasionally pull off those huge wins, but I'll take the smaller easy gains over the possibility of losing all my money for a shot at bigger gains.
As for women, I've only ever gone to one horse race with a girl who was allready on lock so I couldnt compare the two.
