Not fun and too much nonsense for a month when the comp has rides.
Nobody needs a car in the keys. Playing field leveled.

not really. if you stay in SoBe you never need a car. they're more hassle then they're worth down there.

Then after 2 weeks in SoBe, you'll want to hang yourself or go on a killing spree. I can only take so much of SoBe before I go Columbine and postal....combined! Besides, SoBe is fucking ghetto nowadays, I don't know why anyone would want to intentionally stay there, unless you are staying at one of the trendy 5 star hotel resorts.

I loved it down in South Beach. Being able to walk everywhere was fantastic. I'd go just walk around and enjoy the place. Spent a lot of time on Lincoln Road, and at the outdoor hotel spots like Delano and Shore Club (back when it was decent). I was there in April of that year and stayed around 55th st and hated that area. You couldnt walk anywhere. I think maybe after a couple years SoBe would get old, but if you dont mind walking its an easy place to be w/o a car.

Damn dude, you should just consider somewhere else. No way you're getting by with 2k. The cheapest rooms on some of those weekends at the hotel i work at are $450. You really will end up having a lot more fun somewhere else. The beach is mad expensive, esepcially if you plan on partying. Your rent alone if you can find a one month rental is going to be more than 2k. Mixx is right too, sobe is pretty ghetto. And Brian, 55th street area is a nice place to live. North Beach is much nicer IMO than SoBe. Public transportation is alright if you live around downtown or brickel. If you are looking for budget you def wanna check out downtown. Either way, 2k just isn't gonna cut it if you're going for vacation.

We are not living in the same Florida. This is bad advice/post.

Maybe it's time for a new thread....

Here's the thing... Miami can be mad cheap if you live here. That would mean living inland Miami, away from the beach. Anything on the beach is gonna cost $800-1000 (Bare minimum if you want a studio or one bedroom for yourself, usually something nice is more like $14-2000) a month if you sign a 6 month- Year rent agreement. But during the time he's coming down, it's the busiest it gets down here. So if you're planning on staying somewhere for only a month, I'd imagine the rent would be well over 1000. I just met a girl recently that'll be out here around 3 months, during the same time. Her rent is $1400 for a one bedroom and her agency found it for her, it's super basic.

If you are planning on partying, the parties are gonna be expensive if you plan on buying drinks. After entrance and drinks, you'll be spending $100 if you plan on getting a good buzz. The only way I'd see pulling this off and making it worth it is if you live in downtown or midtown and take the bus when you wanna go to the beach or Brickel. This could suck depending on where you live downtown or midtown. If the bus is easy to take you're all good. You wouldn't be able to party it up very much. Day game will be your best bet since in MIA, you wanna be rolling with some loot if you plan on doing some damage at the nice spots. You might also wanna check out some spots off the beach. Day game could work well here though, there will be lots of crazy drunk girls running around the street. Half of them will probably be on ecstacy. I remember seeing kids rollin' balls at 12pm on a wed. afternoon last year for WMC.

But yes, if you are living in Miami for 6 months + and have some stability here and live in cheaper areas of town, Miami can be pretty damn cheap. But if you plan going for a month as a tourist, it's not gonna be an easy task rollin with 2k, I promise. Living on the beach is mad expensive for just about everything.

Stay at the Clay Hotel on Espagnola Way...walk everywhere.

Either private room or hostel...although it's gone a little down hill last few years since new management!

Here's a studio on Miami beach. They say they want 78 dollars a day. Call them and tell them you will pay 1k for the month. Keep doing that until you lock something in..

Internationalplayboy do you think that it is possible to live in Miami and have fun without having a car?

Miami is on my agenda for 2013, but i usually hate to drive and spend money renting cars, im wondering if Miami can be fun if i dont drive. I am particularly not interested in hitting the nightscene, im more a day game type of guy, please let me know if Miami is really a ''must have a car'' city. Do women respond well to guys who dont drive?

Yes, if you live in South Beach.

Or yes if you live in Brickell and party in Brickell. And don't mind the $25 cab ride to South Beach.

They don't care either way.

I saw that place, it's very nice, and if they are asking for 2K/month in March, THEY WILL GET IT. No way I see someone giving up that pad walking distance to SouthBeach during March for 1K, shit, I'll go swipe it myself for friends that I have coming over!

Just remembered my boy has a pimp ass villa to rent out, pool and all. I'll have to see the price. It's on 63rd, but the bus ride isn't bad at all to sobe. LMK if you are interested. Its a nice place but I think it's gonna run at least $1200.
