Vitoria, ES vs. Belo Horizonte MG (Brazil)?

I'm travelling with a friend through Brazil and we are going to get an apartment for the month of march to set up in. We are deciding between Vitoria and Belo Horizonte at the moment. I already lived in SP for 6 months and want somewhere smaller to chill out on the end of my trip.

I had my mind set for Vitoria, mainly for the beach if nothing else. However, having just read Roosh's Compendium for Brazil, I am now rethinking.

I've been telling my friend that's with me now how awesome Brazil and the brasileiras are and now I'm afraid I'm taking him into a trap with some of the most difficult girls in the country. Does anyone else have personal experience with either of these two?

Yeah, girls from Vitoria can be some-what dificult, but I hear it's the same in BH. It's really not that hard there though and the tallent is amazing. Having a social circle there will do wonders. I went down there already knowing a decent amount of people, so I was already set up pretty well. Reguardless, it's definitely a place I recomend. Vitoria is the type of place where you'll find lots of LTR type girls. Real warm and feminine. I pulled a stunner down there and stayed with her for the time I was down there. One month though may not be sufficient for banging a large amount of women. I never spent time in BH but I did in other parts of Minas, and the girls were pretty damn nice as well. I would rate Vitoria #1 for tallent and Juiz De Fora (City in Minas) as #2 and probably Campinas as #3 out of the cities I visited in Brazil.

You're gonna just miss the prime time to be in Vitoria though if you're going in March. The ideal time in end of December to March. Guarapari is where it's at. Not sure how it would be in March though. If March is anything like Dec- March, your best bet is to spend the week in Vitoria and the weekends in Guarapari. Guarapari has all the best tallent from Espirito Santo and also some great tallent from Minas. It's also home to one of the biggest night clubs in Latin America called "Mais." Lua Azul is also a great club out there. If you wanna go out and just have fun flirting and kissing some younger girls, check out a Micaretta. I feel like they pass through either Vitoria or Guarapari once a month. I promise you it won't be hard to at least get a couple make outs there. Bangs may be a little harder. Though my girls friend out there ended up going home with someone at the Micaretta we went to, so maybe you'll get lucky.

Oh, and reguarding the beach in Vitoria, it's shit. You don't really wanna chill on the beach there. It's mad polluted and most locals will tell you not to go in. There's a metal factory at the end of Praia Cambori and they polluted the shit out of the water. Supposedly they're cleaning it up and it's better, and that was 2 years ago so maybe it's alright now. You're other option in Vitoria is Ilha Da Boi, but it's a tiny ass beach on one of the islands where all the nicest homes in Vitoria are. You'll end up wanting to go across the bridge to Vila Velha for the beach. It's only about a 15 minute drive depending where you're staying in Vitoria. Guarapari however has great beaches, it's gonna be about a 40 minute drive from VIX and you can catch busses if you don't have a car.

Actually, to sum it up for you. If you're looking for ease, VIX is not the spot. VIX would be a great spot to go if you ever decided to settle down one day and find a wife. But for easy pick up, you're probably better off somewhere else, though the quality almost makes up for it. If you are going somewhere to bang some of the finest girls in the country, VIX is your spot, but just know in that month you may get lucky to bang 1 or 2. But who knows, maybe you'll bang 10 if you have super tight game. From what I read on the forum though, BH doesn't sound any easier, but the quality sounds about as good. Only thing about BH is there are no beach options. A plus for BH over VIX though is that it's a big city. Vitoria is pretty small and people care about their reputations a lot. VIX is quite conservative for a city in Brazil. That can also make it a pleasant place to stay at the same time. The people have strong family bonds and friendships in VIX.

Yes, both cities arent easy places to rack up alot of notches, especially in a months time. Though, in Belo Horizonte, you would have more possibilties and variety, because it is a major metropolis. Plus, the girls from the suburbs and small towns sorrounding BH do like gringos. If you can find a nice pad your chances will go up. Now if notches is what you really want, I would go to Brasilia, Joao Pessoa and Natal. Though the quality isnt at the level of Minas Gerais, I dont have any complaints about the girls I banged there.

Great replies, thanks InternationalPlayboy and choche. I thought about both BH and Brasilia, but having been in SP, I wanted to check out somewhere a little more low key. I've had as much megalopolis as I can take for a little while.

Even having read your warnings, I think I'll try and give Vitoria a shot. I know a month isn't a long time, but at this point I think I would prefer 1 or 2 quality notches over a bunch of lower quality ones.

Thanks for the info on Guarapari, I'll check it out at least one weekend for sure.

Do you have a recommendation for where to stay in Vitoria? Ideally I wanted somewhere both close to the good night life areas and within walking distance of the beach. It sounds like that's not very feasible though.

And choche, what's the deal with the NE. Living in SP, everyone just shit talked the NE, so I never got a good impression of it. How are the girls and general life style? Part of my reason for going to Vitoria is to do a little scouting for my next trip to Brazil. I want to set up for about 6 months somewhere other than SP/Rio and would definitely consider somewhere like Natal if the reports were good.

It is a given that Paulistas would shit talk the NE, as culturally and economically, it is still a backwater compared to SP. Just like most New Yorkers would feel about the majority of the US. Though, Natal is developing at a very fast rate and it is rapidly becoming one of the most visited and touristy cities for brazilians and europeans alike. If you want a city that is less touristy, with nice beaches, id go to Joao Pessoa.
As far as the women go, the NE has the women with the best attiude, less bitch shields and are extremely warm, sexual and feminine. There is a laid back vibe to them also. Something that brasileiras in major cities and in the South are losing little by little due to westernization. The quality is pretty good too, though as has been said many times before, not at the level of Minas Gerais or the South of Brazil.

If you're looking for the high quality notches Vitoria is def. the spot. I highly recomend visiting. It was my favorite place in Brazil, but that said I had "ins" as well. I can def. see it being a little harder to adjust going down there without any local help. But if you go down with a couple gringo friends, that definitely helps.

The good spots to stay are Jardim Cambori and Jardim Da Penha. Neither are far from the good nightlife and both have chill nightlife themselves. More bar scenes though, which I really liked out there. Some parts of Vitoria can be very dangerous. The thing about Vitoria though is most of the dangerous parts of VIX are seperate from the nice parts, unlike lots of places in Rio. If you live in those two neighborhoods you should be pretty safe. There are some nice Samba parties though in the ghetto. Vila Velha can be pretty grimmy in spots, and don't venture into the neighboring city of Serra. The state VIX is in, Espirito Santo, has the #2 highest murder rate in Brazil http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bra...rder_rate. But don't let that stop you from visiting.

Like I said though, Guarapari could be dissapointing in March, but it's always worth a shot if you're spending a month in VIX, may as well check out Guarapari for a weekend. Even if the party isn't popping, the beaches are still awesome and you can rent hotels for pretty cheap out there. New Years Eve me and my chick rented a nice bed and breakfast spot and it was maybe a little over $100, but that's NYE when everything is fully booked out there. On an average week in low season you should be able to find something much cheaper.
