BEVERLY HILLS

So, I just made-out with a girl I met on the beach (no sex), and she is leaving tonight, making logistics for sex impossible.

However, she invited me to her house.......in BEVERLY HILLS!

The only thing I know about Beverly Hills is Eddie Murphy, from Prada to Nada, and Whitney Houston just died there.

So what is the deal with girls from beverly Hills?.....yes, she was blonde, white and a solid 8.5. She was hot, and she has an affinity for latin guys (she told me). She is 30 years old.

I did not ask her to pay for the flight, but she insists I stay in her house, yet she did not describe what kind of house she lives in, and I was afraid to ask since I may sound ignorant.

Can anyone bust out a Beverly Hills data sheet?

What's her zip code?

There are parts of BH that are super rich, and other parts that are just so-so.

From Wiki: Beverly Hills High School is actually located in the ZIP code 90212. There are three zip codes in Beverly Hills and the most affluent homes lie within the mostly residential 90210, while the high school does not.

She invited you to fly 3,000 miles to come stay in her house after just one make-out? Wow...

This isn't the comprehensive datasheet you wanted but BH is actually a fairly boring neighborhood. There's not much to write about. There's almost no nightlife to speak of except for an underground(literally) club called Aqualounge next to Rodeo Dr. Actually I just looked it up and found that it's now been remodeled and is called Confidential and has asshole bouncers.

There's no telling what type of "house" she lives in. I think there's a misconception that BH is all celebrities and millionaires. If you look up the median income of BH residents, it's mostly upper middle class. Your average person there is probably an attorney, movie producer or doctor, not David Beckham. A home there could be anything from a $400,000 condo to some stately mansion up in the hills. There's no run down parts of BH, but it's not all super rich either(they prefer Malibu, Bel Aire, Hollywood Hills or even Santa Barbara).

Closest legitimate nightlife will be W. Hollywood, Sunset strip or Westwood Village.

Here's a map of Beverly Hills:

I'm pretty sure that all the very expensive houses are north of Santa Monica Blvd. South of Santa Monica Blvd, the houses aren't very extreme.

The most expensive homes are in North Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills (Aaron Spelling's home was right next to the Holmby Hills park) and Bel Air, aka The Platinum Triangle.

The Rodeo Dr. area has a good amount of talent walking around and manning the shops, though it skews a little older, 25 and up. Well dressed sexy women. Spent a summer working there, but never did much gaming unfortunately.

I'm not much of an aficionado on LA nightlife, but I don't think BH has much of a nightlife. SLS Hotel is pretty good, though it's technically not in Beverly Hills.

Yeah. It doesn't matter what BH has because it's basically West Los Angeles (which also includes the hoods Speakeasy named), which is where you want to be in LA anyway. You'll need a car regardless so just consider a trip to see her in BH as being a trip to LA.

Honestly, we would have had sex on the spot in the back of my car, but she had a cock-blocking friend who was fighting me HARD for her, and she won. Bitch. Where's a good wing when you need one?

So, I think the invite is to finish up our business.

Do you guys have a favorite neighborhood in LA for night game? I haven't been to many yet despite growing up here, but I like Main Street in Santa Monica the most so far. Venice has a couple places, but it doesn't have the density and proximity that Main Street does.

I got burned out on the Westside long ago and now mainly stick to the east side. Mostly downtown for me now and occasionally east Hollywood, Koreatown and Ecco Park. I've been wanted to explore the scene in Los Feliz too. Only problem with the downtown scene is that it's too heavily Asian. Nothing against Asian women, I just like a more balanced mix. When I took Amour Fou down there though, he was in heaven!

I like Santa Monica personally. There's a few chill bars and restaurants, but really low key compared to the nightlife in other neighborhoods. Third Street Promenade and all those streets that shoot off of it see lots of talent. I don't know much about cool venues in LA, plus it's so damn big. I prefer to just stick with one neighborhood instead of spending a lot of time in traffic getting across the city. SM is right on the beach also so that kills two birds right there.

That being said, I really don't like LA. I have no interest in revisiting that city.

Yeah. I hear it's really trendy and sorta hipster in that area (Silverlake, Ecco Park, Los Feliz, etc). I've been out there once or twice, but haven't really explored the nightlife scene. I could see why you prefer it to the Westside. That part of LA can get old (and expensive) very quickly.

As for Asian women, it's like that in many parts of SF. I have nothing against them, but I like a balanced mix too.

Curious, what do you mean/what made you burned out on the westside?

The drawback with Santa Monica Main street area, it did feel a little cliquish, like everyone who went to private school in LA partying together with their group of friends. I saw some Jewish girls that sounded like New York j.a.p.s when they had grown up in California, definitely unacceptable... I guess most of the Westside isn't very eclectic either.

I went to Silverlake once during the day, around the Sunset and Santa Monica intersection, and saw almost no talent. I did like the feel of Los Feliz though, I'd consider living there if it were practical. I went to this coffeeshop/bar there called Alcove, people seemed classy and chill and the guys seemed soft.

You tend to find much more a meat-market vibe there. Especially the beach communities of Manhattan and Hermosa and very much on Santa Monica main street. The meat-market thing is favored by some guys and if it works for them cool. But I got a bit sick of that. By meat-market I mean places where you'd never even think of going other than to hit on chics. Where you don't really like the scene, or the people, or the music, or the general vibe of the place. I prefer to look for venues that are places I actually like being at. Once place I'm really digging right now is Perch in downtown LA. A new rooftop bar in a classic building with an amazing view over the city, good music(to me, loungey house), outside fireplace, relaxed but social patrons who dress nicely. No attitude from the staff and doorman. That's right up my alley. A few less Asian girls and it would be perfect.

Some places in Santa Monica are cool though. I'm a long-time fan of Zanzibar when I want to hear some hiphop or do salsa on Monday nights. I used to hit a spot on Main Street called Barcopa that was a good mix of hiphop and R&B, probably the only spot on Main Street that was mostly black dudes. There's a lot of little spots adjacent to the promenade that I haven't explored yet, like gastropubs and lounges. And I still love the Shangri La hotel's rooftop bar with the sweeping view over the ocean. Haven't been to the Viceroy Hotel spot in a few years now. When I get my custom suit I'll have to roll in there G style.

I went to El Cid on a salsa night once and saw some good talent. That's a very legit spot if you're looking for a venue with some character and legacy behind it.

Haha, that's uncanny. I went to Barcopa for the first time Friday, and it was my favorite spot. A little loud but great little spot for grinding on chicks, and the people there seemed surprisingly unpretentious. I also hit Shangri-La the first time the week before that - chill spot, decent crowd, though the prospects I met there didn't come through, and then it was pretty empty afterwards.

I see what you're saying about meat markets. I guess I always just assume that any place I'd actually enjoy independent of women will never have many women, so I just settle for whatever's most compatible.

Due to the fact that most people in Cali like to stretch the truth so far you should really do some more recon Mixx. Beverly Hills could = Fresno or Compton.

"I'm finishing up my degree" translates into just signed up for a class at community college out there.

I hear ya. Shangri La is better to take a girl too than meet one. Good place to have a few drinks to get warmed up, then walk a few blocks to Zanzibar for dancing.

I know what you mean! Always hard to find a dope spot with equally dope women. It's like the most attractive women instinctively like stupid shit. I guess the workaround is to meet your girls at the dumb spots and then take them to the legit spots on dates.

Yeah I was out at this divey place last week a block from my house, almost no girls. Went there because I really didn't feel like making an effort to go out. There were a few girls, but they seemed intent on ignoring the guys - I did talk to them briefly. And there were several decent-looking, respectable guys at the bar. I concluded basically, that if girls actually wanted a boyfriend, they'd go to places like these, the places you know would be a sausage-fest, where the guys are obviously not out to get laid. Yet the only women these places have are the girlfriends of guys going. You're a lot less likely to run into players at these spots, as opposed to the trendy meat markets, the natural hunting ground for pussy hounds. Going to a meat market is asking to get pumped and dumped. Doesn't deter them whatsoever.

On a date, girls can appreciate these cool places like you said. But when it comes to going out, they're drawn like flies to the light, to the loudest shiniest spot i.e. stupid shit. I always hear girls claiming to hate the meat markets, yet it's always their first choice at night.

I agree with Speakeasy's data sheet about Beverly Hills. I was born in Los Angeles, but I actually lived in Beverly Hills for many years, and went to Beverly Hills High School. For the most part, it is a very family oriented community. Many of the people live there due to the reputation of the schools in the area.
There is a mix of many types of people; however, the majority are either Persian Jewish or American Jewish, and then you have the rest of the population. Contrary to belief, there are not hundreds of movie stars running around, more movie stars live in Hollywood Hills, and West Hollywood/Sunset Strip area.
There is great shopping such as Rodeo Drive, Wilshire Blvd. (Barneys, Neiman, Saks,Etc.). Restaurants are incredible (Mastro's, Mr. Chow, Spago, Cut, Etc.) For bar scene you can go to Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel, or the bar at the Four Seasons Hotel, these may have some chicks, but I consider them more of a place to take a chick to impress. When we go out to party for true nightlife, all of the action right now is in Hollywood and sometimes West Hollywood (Beverly Club, Trousdale-used to be good, dead now). The new resurgence in Hollywood is due to the WHotel, Hollywood and Highland mall, the Roosevelt Hotel and the competitive nightclub business in Hollywood (Supper Club, Roxbury, Playhouse , Drais, Lexington, True) have set the bar there pretty high. Only thing i don't agree with Speakeasy is that he recommends Westwood Village for nightlife ( i have never partied in Westwood as there are no cool places, only a few cheesy college bars or where Persian people hangout such as the Hookah bars/restaurants ). So hang out with chicks in BH to impress them, take them to do window shopping (be careful with dropping the credit card), eat dinner, but at night hang out at one of the clubs I mentioned or bar game elsewhere. But i would much rather hang out or take a chick to a cool place in Weho or Hollywood than Beverly Hills.
