This is fucked! I have a temp unlock on my phone and when I lose service I have to call 112 and flick airplane mode on and off. 112 is 911. where did I just lose service? At the grocery store that I goto everyday. Great!

I read an article yesterday about how AT&T's "unlimited" plans are anything but. Once the larger data users reach the 2GB level, their service is throttled by 99%, rendering your data service virtually useless. When you call to complain, they try to convince you to shift to one of their tiered plans. Granted, certain plans get phased out over time (like lower priced plans), but it's dishonest to offer you something (unlimited) and then limit you, but continue to charge you the same price for it. If they're not offering the plan anymore, then notify those on those plans that there will be changes. You aren't being "grandfathered" if the service isn't the same. Obviously, you may lose some unhappy customers. Doing it this way, they're trying to keep customers from leaving, yet not offering them quality service.

I'm now reading that Red Pocket is the way to go for unlimited for iphones. The phone guys have pissed me off so bad at this point with bullshit an ass whooping has been bought and paid for and will be delivered. This one dick just hung up on me because I wouldn't trade phones with him. He said I'm hard headed and ignorant. The other said when I have down time to bring the phone to him and he would set it up but wouldn't tell me with what company. He also wanted 300 dollars. Really dude?

I don't like it when people try to take advantage of me or anyone who doesn't know the details. Now they will learn the lesson the HARD way.

As my phone drama continues.....I got my sim card for red pocket and apparently it takes a long time to port. I tried to pull my Gevey sim out to see how to cut my new card and it ripped so I'm cell-less tonight.

As it turns out the phone I have ironically is much coveted by Indian dudes because it's the latest one that's unlockable from what I'm hearing. They export them?

I've figured out that the cell phone world has a giant underbelly. These dudes hustle more than crack dealers and probably make more money. I got the one dude that I was mad at to come to my shop today and took his phone and slammed him on the hood of his car for making my teeth grit for a couple hours yesterday. He wasn't surprised. He was worried about how much cash he was losing with out a phone FOR A FEW MINUTES. I pulled his card (sim) and gave his phone back and sent him on his way. He called me after he went back to work and got a new card and I told him "How does it feel when your shit don't work and you use it to make a living?" We're ok now he came clean on a lot of bs after that.

People are retards. I'm a retard. This shit that you could learn on youtube..jailbreak, unlocking, etc and all these crazy cell companies that have these "agents" floating the streets buying and trading phones 24/7 on craigslist with access to the stores dealer info to get the phones set up quick anywhere any place. The lifestyle enchants me for some reason...

Well yes, Red pocket is overloaded with people switching to their service and I've been waiting for days for my number to port. I had my sim card and tray in my wallet and they fell out. I found the card but now need a new tray. Did you check them out?

See the problem is where I live is I have 400 oak trees in my yard and a steel roof so cell service is a pain. You can't even see my house from google earth. Running around in clearwater today I had great signal but here in no-mans land I don't.

I have a cell-guru friend coming to work for me tomorrow to start another account to rid me of my landline at work which costs with fax etc about 200 a month. The whole gist of what I'm doing is turning 500 a month into 100 in an area that's not cell friendly.

I guess the T-mobile service isn't up to par in Clearwater. Hence my warning, make sure the service is worth a shit first. Personally, I haven't had a dropped call yet in 3 months and texts go right through. Samsung Galaxy S II using Whatsapp and Vonage mobile works pretty good.

It works great in Clearwater. Not so great where I live 10 miles away in Lower Anclote. I thought vonage was an app..no?

Yeah, it works over the internet. You can also get adapters that connect the internet phone service to your regular land line phones.

Skype also has something similar.
