3 months in Egypt and no Egyptian flag to show for it, I did meet a few Russian girl travellers in Cairo, worked out at the time the sheratons gym so would run into girls who would go in there while staying and offer to take them out show them around, got a couple notches, literally 2 that way but that was work and over almost 1.5 months not a great return on time put in, mostly kept me entertained. My time in Sharm and Hurghada were different, Russians and Czech girls all over the place and would have a blast every night, in the 2 weeks there I had 4 notches and could've done better but the last girl I met there was a cool chick and we hung out for the week so didnt put in any effort after that. You'd have to be a gaming master to close a local, and im nowhere near that so I wasnt getting much of a sniff. Met some hot ones, went out with a couple but couldn't even get a kiss just dinner, see the sights, if you're not into being serious they're not giving up jack shit. Great place to visit, good food, good people, great history, but nightlife women...go to the beach resorts and be happy with the euros.

I've lived in Egypt for two years, and slept with a handful of Egyptian girls, so let me bust out a data sheet for you on this one. It certainly is possible to bang Egyptian girls, but you have to choose your targets very carefully, since probably 90% of the girls here are not open to sex before marriage.

There are basically three types of Egyptian girls who will be DTF:

Gringo chasers: Westernized girls, usually upper middle-class, who for some reason only ever date foreigners, either because they're social climbers, gold diggers, or because the local men won't touch them for some reason. They're the easiest bet if you want to sleep with an Egyptian girl quickly and easily. The catch is that they're looking for status and lifestyle, so while they might gravitate to a player like Mixx, it will be hard to keep up with them if you're just a backpacker or a student. Of course, they're angling for commitment, but if you keep your intentions vague or even downright lie, you can sleep with them even on the second date. In general in Egypt, people say the "I love you" a lot sooner into a relationship, so if you have no qualms about mouthing such things, that might put you over the goal line.

Venues: these girls hang out at any high-end place where the more professional foreigners congregate. Check out especially Harry's Pub in the Zamalek Marriot, La Bodega (also in Zamalek), and the ACE Club and the BCA in Maadi. You may also find them at some of the nightclubs, such as the Cairo Jazz Club in Agouza and Stiletto in the Dokki Sheraton.

Style of game to run: Suited down.

Upper-class girls: Upper-class girls in Egypt are very Westernized, with at least some of the openness towards sex that comes with it. Sexy, fashionable and cultured, they are very high-caliber girls. Hence, they are very hard to pull. Since most likely they've traveled extensively in the US or Europe, there is no "gringo effect" on them, and dating a foreigner would most likely be a step down for them. They're after the big fish in their own country. Although they look down on most things Egyptian and don't follow traditional Egyptian sexual mores, they move in very restricted social circles and so they do face a lot of scrutiny from peers who would not approve of them dating a foreigner.

Style of game to run: Being affluent yourself helps. You also need to stand out from the typical foreigner. Although these girls often disdain to speak Arabic even though it's their native language, if you know Arabic well it will make you stand out.

Venues: the playgrounds for these types of girls are in Zamalek (old money) and Heliopolis (new money). The restaurants and cafes in these neighborhoods will contain loads of them. However, these are not the best venues to pick them up, since they'll usually be sitting with a crowd of friends -- a difficult approach in any country, but exponentially moreso in Egypt.

The American University in Cairo is actually a really good place to meet this kind of girl, since only the upper class can afford to send their children there. I swear to you that you will be hard pressed to find any girl less than a 7 on AUC's campus -- and when you spot one, she'll probably be an American. It's a great place for day game.

The City Stars mall in Nasr City is another good day game location (or day-game style, since you can hit this place up even at nighttime), and you'll find this kind of girl there, among others. Other good venues are Amici in Zamalek (the closest thing to an American style bar in Cairo), and the nightclub Tamurai -- but you'll need deep pockets for those.

Open-minded middle class girls: this is the type of girl where you have to be more discriminating, since there are many such girls who love the idea of dating a foreigner -- not always, as you might think, because they want a visa, but because they don't like the way Egyptian men act in relationships (needy, insecure, and jealous). The problem is that a lot of them might date you, but they'll still be virgins and not really down for sex. Now they'll be willing to do things with you that they wouldn't do with an Egyptian guy, but even still, trying to deflower an Egyptian girl would be a several month project, and success is far from guaranteed. However, there are a number of such girls who -- for whatever reason -- have already lost their virginity and are DTF. These aren't always the most attractive girls, but they are pretty easy. The gringo effect is usually enough to win them over. Knowledge of Arabic will also be useful, since their English is usually not as good as that of the other two categories of girls I mentioned.

Venues: of course, you'll run into middle-class girls everywhere in Cairo -- City Stars in particular will have a good selection -- but in general it will be hard to distinguish those who are open-minded from normal repressed girls from the get-go. Couchsurfing in particular is a good place to find this type of girl, though.

If you're thinking about pipelining, Couchsurfing and Facebook are probably the best two sites. Egyptians absolutely love Facebook -- maybe even moreso than Americans -- and Egyptian guys have been know to use Facebook as a dating website by hitting up girls they don't know. In a country where there's a lot of risk in a face-to-face seduction, some girls are willing to go along with it.

Badoo is just for prostitutes, and OkCupid is a desert of girls who neither put up their pictures or fill out their profile -- lest they be identified. They just stalk you anonymously.

A few general notes on Egyptian girls: In general in Egypt, relationships move very quickly on the emotional level, and glacially slow on the sexual level. Typical Egyptian couples will probably be saying "I love you" within the first week of dating. While dating, they will be in near constant contact, calling each other several times a day. Egyptian men are very controlling and jealous, and will forbid their girlfriends from talking to other men and the like.

Although the kind of girls who date foreigners do not entirely share this general mindset, they are not entirely free from it either. Even when they move fast sexually, they'll probably expect to move fast emotionally as well, and will need lots of attention from the beginning. This is not like the US with its 48 hour phone call rule. These girls have an almost comical lack of the girl game we expect from dealing with American girls. For example, if you don't answer their calls, they will probably keep calling you until you answer. Needless to say, there's no need to practice "aloof game" here. You'll be more aloof than necessary just by being a normal human being. They'll also respect you more if you are a little bit controlling and set boundaries for them, and even show a little jealousy. This is how "manliness" is defined in Egyptian culture, and if you don't do these things, then you're not a real man.

One final tip: phone game is more crucial in Egypt than elsewhere -- and by that, I mean talking on the phone, not texting. Girls you're dating will want to be having long phone calls on a regular basis. And especially in the early stages, the phone is the best way to feel a girl out and find out how far she's willing to go. It's hard to get a good read on a girl based on how she acts in a public setting, since she feels the scrutiny of other Egyptians around her, but in the privacy of her own room, on the phone, she's able to let loose.

Alot of the Egyptian guys spoke about how easy Russian women were in the tourist areas. Lots of Russian women on the flight from Moscow going to Egypt to visit their boyfriends.

As is written above, it's a gamble going to the beach resorts to sleep with tourists, a bad week can be a disaster.

Update on the tourist areas:

Tourism in Egypt has taken a major hit. The peak year was 2010 with 40 million visitors. Last year it was more like 2 million. In Luxor, the Sheraton usually has 3 restaurants. They closed down two of them and only serve a set menu at the main restaurant because their occupancy rate is so low.

The only bright spots on the tourism horizon in Egypt were Sharm and Hurghada but even those are way down. The recent bus bombing in N. Sinai of a bus full of S. Koreans probably won't help that number. The Germans just changed their travel warning to say travel to Sharm is not advisable. Most of the EU usually follows their lead.

I was hoping to use some Couch Surfing game in Cairo but there are so few people on CS who are looking for a place to stay.

Hopefully the new government can improve security enough to get the tourists back.

Gaming in Egypt ! Ha ! I admire the audacity . E for effort.

I spent four nights in Sharm el Sheikh. It was OK as a place to relax on the beach and at the pool, but disappointing with regard to number and quality of women and the nightlife. Maybe I hit it the wrong time, I saw a 747 with Cyrillic lettering landing as I was leaving.

Hotels - as a place to stay in a 4 / 5 star hotel for little money, Sharm el Sheikh and Egypt in general is hard to beat. I don't know any other country where you can consistently stay in Hyatt, Le Meridien, Marriott, Hilton, Four Seasons hotels for less than 100 USD.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency resort, which is a little removed from the main nightlife area at Naama Bay, but still only a 30 minute walk or negotiated 4 USD taxi ride (very high compared to Cairo). Service was excellent, decent beach but a little rocky, several pools, good gym, several bars and restaurants, big breakfast buffet included. Spent days at pool or beach.

Unfortunately, other guests were either: (1) older couples, (2) young Russian and Egyptian families. This fit the profile for the visitors I saw in the whole area.

I went out three nights, but really only found things going one night, on a Thursday at Little Buddha in Naama Bay. They had some Ladies' Night going, and there was a decent ratio there.

There were quite a few Russian girls there, but they were either: (1) hot but locked up with some young Spetsnaz-looking guys, or (2) dumpy and frumpy.

After hanging at the bar and scouting around for a half an hour, I saw a slender Asian standing at the bar, and thought: Got lucky, a Korean or a Thai here! Very high cheekbones, very Asian looking, dressed to party with a shoulderless tube-top dress.

She was Yakut from Russia. Spent some time talking to her, her English was adequate. She was married but there without the husband. I was using maps and Wikipedia entries on my smartphone to converse with her and thought I was getting somewhere with her. She asked me to dance, and introduced me to her two (dumpy and frumpy) Russian girlfriends who had been dancing with each other on the dance floor for some time. Then she looked at her watch and flaked on me via the bathroom.

After hanging around the dancefloor, I went back to the bar where I had seen another Asian type dancing with a fat Russian girl. I was lucky, she was alone. She was a Kazakh from Astana, 35 years old. Her English was better. An Egyptian guy next to her tried to intervene / cockblock me, he was their driver / tourguide. I just introduced myself to him and then turned my back on him. I was doing OK with her, but by then it was after 1 am, she said she was getting up at 6 am for some Sinai tour and begged off, I got her email but didn't follow up the next day.

The other nights I never saw places really get going, even after midnight, I wanted to go to Pacha there, but it looked like a waste of 25 USD to go into an empty club. Little Buddha didn't get going the other nights, either. Did not get out to Space, another big club there.

The streets of Naama Bay are pretty busy at night, but too many families and mixed groups, too few groups of girls and single women when I was there. A few scattered pubs and beach bars, never saw much of a crowd in any of them, but I liked the rooftop Camel Bar as a place to hang out and watch the street below.

I might have just hit it at a less-than-optimal time, around the big holidays and especially the Russian Orthodox Christmas in early January is supposed to be the best time, and maybe in February - March, too.

It is a nice place to relax on the beach/at the pool and enjoy five star hotels for three star prices. A younger guy might have had better results, too.
