It seems even relatively bright women with some life experience are deluded and kidding themselves.
I think it was Charles Dickens that wrote: "There's no fool like the self-deceiving fool"

Gave me a chuckle anyways...but most of these "elite agencies" are cons so I feel a bit sorry for her too.Though I think way more men are scammed .

These agencies prey on the desperate. Their goal is to get people to pay, and since dates/marriages aren't something that any organization can actually guarantee, they're in the clear. This woman is nothing special - she's 40 and not the least bit sexy (she looks to have a spare tire around the middle, and I'm guessing the rest of her is sloppy). What did she expect this agency to find for her? Why would a "high flyer" want her, when they can get young tail? Yep...seriously deluded.

What these women only begin to realize in their late 30's and 40's is that guys don't give a shit how financially successful she is, especially if she let her body go to shit in the process.

Looking at this chick's picture, the best she could hope for is a successful guy in his mid to late 60's, or an unsuccessful super-beta guy in his 40's, like that dude Terry who she was fixed up with. Successful dudes her age (40's) are dating chicks in their 30's and 20's.

Reading shit like this makes me want to launch a dating "agency" or three of my own. Suckers that fall for this remind me of the piously religious, being sold promises clergymen could never keep. Great way to make a living if you can manage it.

And, as others have said, the high flyers in her age category are dating younger women. As such, she needs to adjust her delusional expectations, or become accustomed to a life of celibacy and cat-feeding.

A super beta her age would do better with a copy of Bang, and Day Bang... Or he could just go to Thailand.

"'He went on about his boating holiday on the Thames... I prefer St Tropez'"

And these bitches wonder why they are single.

If it were up to me I'd round up every single woman like those in the article and send them all off to work the coal mines for the rest of their lives.

Somehow women conjure up these big dreams of becoming successful and being able to leverage that success the way a man does. It doesn't work that way and it never will!

What the HELL is that? Look at those man hands! [Look at that oldschool telephone in the background!]

Looks like my old English professor. She would have been lucky to land an "average" guy 20+ years ago in her prime.

I agree with Gmac. I've got no pity for this bitch. She's frumpy, old, and ugly but still had the audacity to think that she was worth a rich young handsome successful man? Really?! How smug she looks in that fucking picture says it all to me.

Best article I've read all day. There are thousands of women just like her all over the West: decades past their prime, no experience in the dating scene, tons of disposable income, and self-entitlement complex. Women who just that story will never believe that the same will happen to them once they hit the wall and they'll sign-up with similar companies.

I could see someone pulling off a company like that one in the US on a much bigger scale and getting filthy rich, till the frivolous lawsuits from their frumpy members roll in.

Ages ago, a Great Expectations franchise gave me a detailed questionaire asking me my income and how trusting I was. Then they left the room and returned with expensive price sheets, including a discounted offer valid only for that day. After I stormed out, I discovered another undisclosed Great Expectations franchise closer to my home. They were just high pressure hucksters.

The general problem is dating franchises are started by "people persons", e.g., women who work in human resources. They work well initially, until all the eligible attractive people get matched up. Then they are left with ugly, creepy, beta, unmatchable dregs. New clients quickly burn out from crappy dates, and the whole thing implodes.

I had a few acceptable dates from two other small dating services. But they quickly ran out of available local candidates. I would prefer personal ads or online dates where the women are actively searching. This avoids the attitude that the woman paid for a date and is entitled to a prince.

She is "in her forties", meaning around 50 and is around average for this age. Look at her furniture and clothes - she is not rich and successful. She dismissed a guy because he carries a backpack and doesn't vacation in St. Tropez. In England, St. Tropez is like Cancun or the Caribbean, not so fancy.

Too many girls grow up on princess stories. Then they wonder why a white knight prince doesn't materialize to sweep them off their pudgy feet. Does she really handsome millionaires to pay a dating service to meet her instead of meeting younger, hotter, more successful women?! She deserves an average balding divorced 60-year-old with a stable professional job and grown kids. But she won't settle for that. The darned thing is that if she had a better attitude, she might use emotional skills to date up. She might accommodate the lifestyle of an affluent 60-year-old, or a good-looking 50-year-old. But she won't make the effort and will die single. RIP Eleanor Rigby.

I just found this posted by one of FB friends. The post is by some relationship coach named Virginia Clark, who counsels women in their 30s and 40s that want to marry, but it hasn't happened. Some of her advice is actually spot on...

Base the website offshore, similar to a lot of online poker houses.

I'm seriously tossing some ideas around in my head to start a similar service, far too many older bitches in this country with far too much disposable income.

Gold mine, I tell you.

I actually think it is shitty feminist advice.

If a woman wants a long lasting loving relationship with a man? She has to do three things.

1. Show devotion to him.
2. Never nag.
3. Suck his dick every night (or most every night), whether or not he fucks her.

It's not "stand in your power as woman" and bullshit like that.

The advise about taking full responsibility, and taking courageous action is right I believe. Chicks like to blame their lot on there not being any decent men out there, and when they find one that steps up and shows interest, they bullshit, instead of putting themselves out and giving him a reason to want to be bothered with you. They want guarantees without risking anything.
