Yes, I think it is trashy but sometimes I get caught up in the moment...how can I cover this thing up or speed up the process?

use tooth paste it decreases visibility of the hickey

Listen Dude..
This happens to me all the time. Get Some Double A Batteries and rub the bottom silver part on the hickey for a little bit and it'll fade. It works!
