Brazilian Jiu Jitsu + Great Nightlife + Cheap Living? - Carioca - 11-29-2011

I love to train BJJ when I travel so usually pick a place that has a great BJJ community/schools.

Now I'm looking to relocate somewhere with the above qualities for 1-3 months to ride out the winter.

Looking around the Caribbean (DR, Panama) mostly, but open to any suggestions.

Unfortunately, Brazil is out of the question at the moment.

ever thought of Thailand. i'd bet some of the Muay Thai schools have MMA programs that have a BJJ school.

DR may be the best bet for you, im just not too sure that they have a jiu jitsu club there but i think they should have one (search it on google), i went to one judo club in santo domingo so they should a jiu jitsu one too.

I'm in Taiwan now. Taipei has a solid BJJ scene.
