It's gotten to the point for me that porn feels like panning for gold as most of it just isn't appealing to me for one reason or another, which means it's a huge time-sink with a poor ROI. One thing I will say...someone linked to those Manuel Ferrara interviews earlier and it's surprisingly good listening.

I find weird subcultures interesting. Listening to some of those more candid porn interviews (not the bullshit ones where they ask the canned question about sex) to be interesting because of how...different...the mentality of people in it is. A lot of them aren't all that different from your typical thot or chad because both groups of people have a short term, hedonistic mindset. To them sex is just a commodity and nothing special, whereas to most people it's an intimate thing: those of us who are more family minded see it as being a semi-sacred thing to be treated with respect, to them it's just a tool that they can use for pleasure or monetary advancement.

After watching a few I actually rate some of the pornstars a lot higher than your average thot in a dead end bullshit office job. The thot is too dumb to have any respect for her sexuality and for the most part to stupid to use it well. Those pornstars who have a reasonable level of intelligence are very sharp and aggressive hustlers: they correctly view the porn as just an advertisement that gets them name recognition and enables them to sell from their personal cam sites (or escort services) which is where the real money is. A lot of them also mention other ways that they've aggressively used themselves for gain in the past like ways they found sugar daddies.

They aren't freaks. A lot of them are smart and calculating gold diggers who lack innate access to the top-echelon of men (due to a lack of connections that would enable them to get jobs like fashion modeling) but are playing their hand very well.

Obviously they're going to end up as damaged as is will anyone whose lifestyle separates sex from reproduction, but it's a mistake to assume they're just dumb sluts.
