A man of character?
A man of self-respect who doesn't take s***?
A man who successfully sleeps with a lot of women?
A man who made it on his own?
A man who is able to survive on his own?
An honest man who keep his word?
A man who lives life the way he wants to?
A man who carves his own destiny?

A man is different things to everyone.
For me personally being a man encompasses the following:
- Living (or dying) by his principles
- Having integrity (of which there are varying definitions)
- Being self-sufficient and being able to look after yourself, i.e. resourceful and can fight
- Knows his direction in life - he may not necessarily know the path or how to get there but he will try his damndest to succeed.
- Courage in the face of adversity
- Being a man of your word (get out clause, this does not apply to women, only in interactions with other men)
- Having the skill to seduce and fuck lots of women
But that's just me...every guy's definition will differ I am sure.
