What are some jobs for expatriate women? - pitt - 10-10-2011

I have been telling my peeps about how much money can be made overseas as an expatriate specially when you are coming from England or USA. I have recommended few guys to look at the oil industry and try to do some courses on it.

However i also want to reccommend my smart girls about hustling abroad but when they ask me about what job they can do abroad as expatriates, i have very few jobs in mind to mention.

Anybody cares to list down jobs that women from developed countries can do in less developed countries?

Yes, expat women can definitely get hired, at least in Asia.

I recently helped a graduate of UCSD get a job with National University of Singapore. She's working in events management/planning and has been helping organize conferences and lead seminars in the SE Asian region. I've helped another French expatriate graduate girl get into a boutique corporate social responsibility consultancy in Beijing. More in the pipeline, as well.

I know young expat women working in every possible industry and sector across the entire Asia Pacific region.

-Real Estate Consulting/Brokerage (Colliers, JLL)
-Investment Banking (Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs)
-Management Consulting (Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, Bain)
-Private Equity (KKR)
-Environmental Engineering / Energy (Schneider Electric, AECOM)
-Media (CNN / NYTimes / Razorfish)
-Public Relations (Ogilvy)

All expat women in their late twenties.
