I know that Bitchute uses P2P technology, so you would expect that speeds are sometimes not great. But every time I use it, I can't get any videos to play at any speed that approaches anything listenable. When I watch popular recent uploads, sometimes it almost works, but still with significant lags and interruptions. If I search for more obscure videos, they have zero peers and don't play. So what is the point? The site as it stands seems useless, yes apparently people are uploading videos and making use of it. Is it just me?

There is some info on reddit and the support forums for bitchute about this. What's likely happening is unless the video is popular it will "die on the vine" if no one else seeds it.

I downloaded webtorrent and added my 10 oldest videos just to see how many peers they had and it was 3-4 which seems okay, I'm guessing that's how many mirrors bitchute has. Hopefully seeding my own videos on my dedicated server at the datacenter will be enough.

That reminds me I need to seed Roosh's videos too.

EDIT: Good news on that, I pasted the oldest video and it has 6 peers so someone else is seeding too!

I live in China where Youtube, Twitter and Google are banned (no great loss IMHO, SJW corporate fucks). However, Bitchute seems to be under the radar. Although, sometimes the search engines (similarly censored) read it as "BITCH ute", which get blocked.

So it seems nobody is actually using Bitchute to watch videos and having a decent user experience?

I've watched a couple of Styx's recent uploads there and they play just fine.

All of mine play fine, and they're the 3-4 seed kinds. Given how the network functions it's expected for some videos to not load on the first try, especially if they're not seeded very many times and BitChute's 3-4 servers are overloaded.

Keep in mind, this is the network who can't support HD yet, and even though they're still 480 SD the quality is even worse than jewtube's 480 SD. I'm not trying to bash them here, but it takes a lot to run a video network and they're still growing.

By the way speaking of what works and what doesn't, it looks like YT automatic copying has been broken since August. YT must have changed their API or is actively blocking bitchute from pulling them over.

I have firefox with all adblockers enabled and it wont load but I have Brave browser with adblock built-in and it works. Never had a problem with it.

Well, shit.

PayPal is really turning into a bitchy affair.

Does Bitchute actually work? - RawGod - 11-14-2018

In answer to my original question, I turned off Ad Block Plus and BitChute works much better now.

Does Bitchute actually work? - DJ-Matt - 11-14-2018

Styxenhammer bailed on paypal preemptively maybe others will also, don't think PP will give a damn but someone has to start hitting back at these SJW companies.

Anyone know what Streamlabs.com position is? Lots of people ditched superchats for their service after it turned out that jewtube can just take your money away.

I'm not surprised, that's also how I read it since the C wasn't capitalized in the thread title.

FUCK PayPal. FUCK their corporate censorship (article on it here), which is straight out of the McCartney Era.

I canceled my account months ago because of this. It's un-American to ban people because of political beliefs.

Eventually, I hit a "roadblock" where I supposedly needed PayPal. I wanted to buy a record from the Web site MusicStack.

OMG! What to do?! How will I ever pay?!

Here's how. I simply asked the seller if I could send him a check in the mail. He said yes. I was able to make the transaction without PayPal, but it took a whopping two days longer. Life went on without them.

I recommend others cancel their accounts. The old economy worked fine. We don't need these tech shitheads.

You can stop using them on a personal level but digital payment is the future and there will fast come a day when you make that call and the guy on the other end says no instead of yes.

As I posted in the other thread covering this development. Trump deals with this on an institutional level or you get Hillary in 2020.

Does Bitchute actually work? - RawGod - 11-15-2018

I see four alternative futures:

1. Government steps in and deals with this
2. Digital secession. We get social media, payments and internet infrastructure that is separate and free. A parallel "right-wing/traditionalist" society is built online (and offline)
3. They win - we all get discouraged and fade away
4. Civil unrest/civil war

The window is currently open for #1, but Trump must do it soon and effectively. If he doesn't, #2 will be attempted, and if digital alternatives are crushed by globalist financiers, we will have to choose between #3 and #4. They are placing their bets on #3, but I don't see that happening.

I would, if it were possible. The whiny cunts have removed the ”cancel account” button at some point.

I'm stuck with dinosaur clients who refuse to use anything other than PayPal [Image: sad.gif]
