I'm in KL right now. Met this girl through online game, went out for a few drinks then took her back to the apartment and she let me smash after a bit of LMR. She was drop dead gorgeous as well, mixture Malay with a little bit of Filipina mixed in.
Anyway, the next morning she asks if she can borrow 10 MYR (about $2.50 US) to get a cab to her work a few blocks away. Or if I could just order her an Uber through my account. I know the amount seems ridiculous but as soon as I heard the word 'taxi' money I had flashbacks to all the other threads I read about this.
So where does it cross the line between a legitimate request and looking for some payment for the events of the night prior?
And yes, of course I gave her the 10 MYR

Honestly it's nothing to worry about.
If she's only asking for a few dollars to get home it wouldn't even think twice.
$2.50 is like going to a festival and buying her an ice cream when you are getting yourself one as well.
Do you want to see her again?
If yes then you did an ok thing.
If not, then tell her you aren't interested in giving her money next time she comes over.

Obviously the amount means nothing, it was more the principle. As in , did I bang this smoking hot chick becuase of my looks and game or was she just after a small payday

In a poor country, I usually just automatically give the girl a small amount to get a taxi in the morning. If she then asks for more money, you will know what her deal is and just next her.
I don't really know if Malaysia is a poor enough country to warrant this approach. Asking local men (or girls you are not fucking) about local norms is also a good idea.

Most likely a small pay day in that country.

She was happy enough for me to put it though my Uber account (no cash), and was adamant about paying me back so I don't know.

According to some RVFers...it's not p4p if it's in a developing country because "her familuh is poor". If you're in the Anglosphere, heaven forbid you pay for appetizers because then you're a beta whoremonger.

Lol it only becomes obvious when girls want a 1000 for taxi money. Don't worry op 2.50 is too small to scam.

If this girl is as hot as you say, it is a bit strange she doesn't have that money on hand. However, to take a more optimistic approach, maybe she genuinely feels that it's warranted and appropriate for the guy to cover her ride home, since you after all dislocated her in your dastardly plans to take her home, you sly dog you. Is 10 Whampums actually about the cost of a ride home and a (small) ice cream along the way? Then no sweat. If that amount starts getting any higher, or if she asks for it even after you meet close to her place (that would be a good test actually), then that's some sketchy ish.
But you prepaid with Uber? I'm not sure why that is not considered anything other than magnanimous on your part.

No didn't end up paying through Uber.
What happened exactly was that she originally asked for 5 MYR ($1.25) becuase that's how much she thought it would be to her work. Then she showed me on the GrabTaxi app (similar to Uber) and there it was 10 MYR becuase of high demand which happens. So just gave her the cash.

I'm socially retarded for the most part (though I have my moments) and not too experienced with SE Asian women, obviously if she was asking for an over the top amount like another poster pointed out it would be cut and dry...so would actually be keen to get your thoughts.

the average malaysian graduate(early 20s) is earning 1700 MYR to 3000 MYR a month if they're working in a corporate environment. An average meal in a mamak(road side stall) starts around 3-5 MYR for a simple plate of fried rice. These numbers should give you a clearer picture of whether this girl came all the way to bang you for money.
Regardless, you got the bang and you did the right thing in giving the 10 Ringgit, it's nothing to you and you ended things on a pleasant note, increasing the chance of a second bang if you're interested in her.

No she didnt. Calling it USD 2.50 is easy for us to understand but since this chick is Malaysian drawing a Malaysian salary, you have to think in her perspective. I doubt any girl would travel out of her way to bang for what is to
her USD10.
Furthermore, you're in KL. Its a shithole but it is the capital afterall with a subway system and much more developed infrastructure than most other SEA cities. Hell, even the hookers down at the Chow Kit district probably charge more for a handjob.
If you need someone to spell it out for you: Relax, you gamed and banged this chick and gave her 10bucks for a ride home. Pat yourself on the back on a job well done. Rinse and repeat.

Relax man, she could make far more than that in a couple hours at the Beach Club if she was a pro. Pribably didn't want to do the walk of shame and had no cash.

Scammers and hookers don't offer you to order via Uber.
And like the other guys said, nobody will fuck a client for $2.50 (or even $10) and then become clingy. That hooker would starve if she puts that much time investment in a $10 client...

In time, a person's true character is revealed. This goes for men, as well as women. There is no way to know her true character at this moment. Perhaps she is an honest woman in need. Perhaps she is a black-hearted trollop, ready to pounce on the next victim.
Your best approach is enlightened detachment. Enjoy what comes your way, but withhold your final judgement. In six months of continual contact, her true nature will become revealed. Patience is your best friend, kimura.

10 simple steps top yourself from overthinking
Quote:Quote:
Overthinking doesn't sound so bad on the surface--thinking is good, right?
But overthinking can cause problems.
When you overthink, your judgments get cloudy and your stress gets elevated. You spend too much time in the negative. It can become difficult to act.
If this feels like familiar territory to you, here are 10 simple ideas to free yourself from overthinking.
1. Awareness is the beginning of change.
Before you can begin to address or cope with your habit of overthinking, you need to learn to be aware of it when it's happening. Any time you find yourself doubting or feeling stressed or anxious, step back and look at the situation and how you're responding. In that moment of awareness is the seed of the change you want to make.
2. Don't think of what can go wrong, but what can go right.
In many cases, overthinking is caused by a single emotion: fear. When you focus on all the negative things that might happen, it's easy to become paralyzed. Next time you sense that you starting to spiral in that direction, stop. Visualize all the things that can go right and keep those thoughts present and up front.
3. Distract yourself into happiness.
Sometimes it's helpful to have a way to distract yourself with happy, positive, healthy alternatives. Things like mediation, dancing, exercise, learning an instrument, knitting, drawing, and painting can distance you from the issues enough to shut down the overanalysis.
4. Put things into perspective.
It's always easy to make things bigger and more negative than they need to be. The next time you catch yourself making a mountain out of a molehill, ask yourself how much it will matter in five years. Or, for that matter, next month. Just this simple question, changing up the time frame, can help shut down overthinking.
5. Stop waiting for perfection.
This is a big one. For all of us who are waiting for perfection, we can stop waiting right now. Being ambitious is great but aiming for perfection is unrealistic, impractical, and debilitating. The moment you start thinking "This needs to be perfect" is the moment you need to remind yourself, "Waiting for perfect is never as smart as making progress."
6. Change your view of fear.
Whether you're afraid because you've failed in the past, or you're fearful of trying or overgeneralizing some other failure, remember that just because things did not work out before does not mean that has to be the outcome every time. Remember, every opportunity is a new beginning, a place to start again.
7. Put a timer to work.
Give yourself a boundary. Set a timer for five minutes and give yourself that time to think, worry, and analyze. Once the timer goes off, spend 10 minutes with a pen and paper, writing down all the things that are worrying you, stressing you, or giving you anxiety. Let it rip. When the 10 minutes is up, throw the paper out and move on--preferably to something fun.
8. Realize you can't predict the future.
No one can predict the future; all we have is now. If you spend the present moment worrying about the future, you are robbing yourself of your time now. Spending time on the future is simply not productive. Spend that time instead on things that give you joy.
9. Accept your best.
The fear that grounds overthinking is often based in feeling that you aren't good enough--not smart enough or hardworking enough or dedicated enough. Once you've given an effort your best, accept it as such and know that, while success may depend in part on some things you can't control, you've done what you could do.
10. Be grateful.
You can't have a regretful thought and a grateful thought at the same time, so why not spend the time positively? Every morning and every evening, make a list of what you are grateful for. Get a gratitude buddy and exchange lists so you have a witness to the good things that are around you.
Overthinking is something that can happen to anyone. But if you have a great system for dealing with it you can at least ward off some of the negative, anxious, stressful thinking and turn it into something useful, productive, and effective.

Bro, event 2.5 USD is a lot of money...that's like 4 sausage burritos from McDonalds so it must be enough for a meal in KL. To top all of this off, she is FILIPINA! It doesn't get any more stereotypical than this. Next thing she is going to mention is a sick water buffalo or a family member who needs surgery.
Never give money to filipinas, thais, colombianas, devushkas, or any girl for the matter...no matter how "Poor" their country might be. Thinking of a country's condition is beta/scarcity mentality right there.
