I bloody love Chinese food. It's good so long as you ignore the rice, because there is already enough carbs in the sauces and the breading. However, my eyes are now open to "Deep Soy." I haven't touched soy milk in months. Should I drop Chinese food, or is the soy sauce that the put into the sauces safe because it is fermented (certainly the Chinese aren't so numerous for nothing? Isn't all their soy in fermented form?)?

EDIT: Post other foods that you should avoid to avoid becoming a soiboy.

No! Fermented soy products in moderation (key word there) are incredibly healthy. Fermented soy is safe and is common in almost all asian foods. You're fine to keep consuming it.

The dangers of soy come from non-fermented protein products and other processed products that contain soy.

All in all, you're fine. Just don't eat processed food containing soy in high amounts.

I just wish that all the soy in the food would make Western women more feminine. Whatever, more eggs and chicken for me.

I can't imagine you being okay with soy sauce/other MSG ridden sauces in Chinese food and bread but not okay with rice.

Rice is just extra calories with no extra taste. Why put extra calories in your body that you don't enjoy?

In fact, come to think about it, how many fatties are fat off of food that has legitimately good flavor? Fatties don't really enjoy food, they only follow their brains' desire for sugar, fat, and salt. It's sad, especially when you try to get them to enjoy real food.

Back on topic, how much dairy is safe? I know that too much milk is a bad idea (because of the estrogen), but how much is too much?

Theres a lack of understanding here. Dietary estrogen has a much smaller impact than you might imagine. The liver filters out the vast majority of it. This is why oral steroids need to be alpha alkylated or they don't make it past the liver.

Soy sauce won't hurt you unless consumed in major excess.

I already knew not to add too much soy sauce just because of all the salt. I don't like having to drink that much water in order to flush it out.

Certainly the impact isn't that small? I have seen in a nearby big city that the difference between the more bumpkin masculine men like from where I'm from and the limp-wristed, bony boys (not men, they will never be men) in the city seems to be biological, not just stemming from mental attitude. What is the cause of this? Certainly when there is a Starbucks not far from another Starbucks and you can add soy milk to anything, that will affect you in some way.

I think you're looking at a social factor rather than biological. The guys who go to Starbucks and live in the city are more likely to be the limp wrist type.

I drink milk. I put soy sauce on my food. Im jacked and have been for a while.

In any case, soy sauce contains a phyto-estrogen which is weaker than estrogen but actually prevents your own estrogen from attaching at the receptor site, very much like a SERM.

Estrogen is a very valuable hormone for strength training when kept within range.

Oh? Ok. Thank you for clearing that up, sir.

I try to avoid a lot of foods that contain processed soy as it finds its way into everything these days, but I'll be damned if I'm going to stop drinking milk and stop eating chinese food.

Avoid stuff that is processed with soy lecithin, contains soybean oil, and stop drinking all that craft beer. I agree with steelex that dietary intake of estrogenic foods has a relatively minimal impact on your hormone levels, but that shit certainly adds up if most of the food you eat is processed and you drink lots of that heavy craft brewed swill.

Why is craft beer worse than processed factory beer?

Foods with estrogen to avoid (original question: Is soy sauce safe?) - General Stalin - 09-17-2017

Because craft beer uses an incredible amount of hops which is phytoestrogenic.

Give coconut aminos a try as a soy sauce substitute.
