It has got to be a subliminal thing. I wonder if the intermediate and advanced guys also go through this. Yeah there are times that girls are almost maximally receptive, and other times when it's one stumbling block after another.

Totally agree, I had abundance and a STR from April to August last year. Then only one bang from Sept to December. Things picked up strongly again from second half of December to now, getting a lot of action.
Comes in waves and Ive noticed I dont really do anything to open girls during the good times, usually they are opening me. Would be nice if I could bottle it for when droughts come along.
Few things I have noticed I do differently atm lately though, I always isolate the target or only make a move when they find themselves alone for a few minutes. Also I steer clear of large groups of girls.

It's all about perspective, I don't think there's any underlying reasoning behind it.
If you're banging a girl or two for a few months then that is a normal, steady stream that you're used to. Then you hook up with another bang or two and you think "damn I'm on fire right now" where really you just happened to hook a couple extra girls after getting rejected by other approaches for the past several weeks. Those two new girls fall off after a couple weeks and then one of your plates finds a boyfriend you think "shit I just lost my mojo" when really it's all just a random unrelated sequence of events. Girls will bang you for different reasons and they aren't all looking for the same shit or in the same station in life. Some might just "want to have fun" some may be trying to date you some may be trying to get over an ex etc.
The only thing I will say is that I believe its far easier to lose girls when you are banging a lot of them simply because it can be more difficult to make decent time for any one girl when you are trying to see a handful of them a week plus arrange new dates.
