Questions about VSL3 Probiotics? - Mr.GoodThread - 09-23-2016

For those of you taking VSL#3 probiotics, is Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals the only brand making them?

Where do you buy yours from and what kind are you taking? The capsules? The 30 pack regular? The 30 pack unflavored? or the Double strength?

Just curious on what is your routine with them. Thanks.

VSL is a specific product so only Sigma Tau makes it. I bought mine from their web site and it was shipped in an ice pack. I took the capsules, started with 2 per day and then eased off to 1 a day.

I saw great results to using it initially but my symptoms returned after a couple weeks, which is what I see with most probiotic use. They're great for getting you over the hump after an illness but don't exactly provide long-term relief. I find diet changes to be more effective.

Thank You Roosh, I used to take Custom Probiotics CP1 and it was fine, but I didn't really feel any major improvements from it. I didn't feel bad from it at all though. I was only taking it once a day in the mornings.

As for anyone else, I'm wondering what the difference would be between the capsules and the 30 pack regular? The capsules are the most affordable, so I'm wondering if there is a difference.

What improvements are you looking for or expecting? A forum member recommended I try them but I never got around to it. I found the price rather high.
