Could people on this board and elsewhere stomach Trump not changing the path we're on?

I've thought about that. But Trump is a damn pugilist like no one I have ever seen. The people in power who called him racist, sexist, tried to Cosby him. THEY WILL PAY. I'm talking handcuffs for HRC, BO, Harry Reid, all the fucking pedophiles sellouts & grifters in Congress. This is a man who loves America so much that he WENT THROUGH HELL for us. I'm trying not to read too much into this pedo ring a few websites have done a lot of digging on, with actual results. What if this is all real, what would it do to the governments around the world? The UK government and police tried to or at least did suppress pedophile rings in the upper echelons of power in the UK & EU.

On one hand I want them to burn for what they did, if any of it is true. The other hand reminds me that chaos will surely follow. A lack of trust in government and those given power has never been good for a country.

I was just at a big ass mall food court an;; he mayor of Honolulu, who is on the ballot, walked around and said hi to everybody.

This guy takes corruption to another level, its comical.

The three guys I was with are all in construction, and working today, so they're a little dirty.

The mayor asked hem what they did so they told him. The mayor then says "look I really want to thank you for your service to our city" and some other crap like that.

He's thanking a brick mason like he was a war veteran. It was just goofy. And he smelled like beer.

Aloha!

I wonder if in the old days, or under different circumstances, we would already have a violent left wing coup right now. Except the reason we don't is most of their followers are women, fags, poorly organized 'minorities', and people who largely don't own guns.

Leftwing gulags aren't possible when the vast majority of the party are a bunch of pussies. How can they eventually enact their Marxist utopia? They need better footsoldiers (not women and fags).

To be honest this reads like some neo-con fap material. The US Congress has not declared war on any nation, why are our aircraft carriers not parked at base, or out on routine training missions in US waters? We can't afford to be the world police anymore.

No the facts of the article are true, it's just its conclusions that are silly. USA is not at war with any significant country and couldn't care less where its aircraft carriers were parked - there is no "risk" being undertaken by not having them all floating around in the Middle East, Pacific or wherever.

More and more America's colleges are unfairly targeting and shutting down anyone who is a Conservative - or even a Student Conservative/Republican group - that believes in the U.S. Constitutions. This is getting ridiculous and bizarre.

Conservative students ARRESTED for handing out Constitutions

* Kellogg Community College is being sued after campus police arrested three conservative activists and college students while they were handing out pocket Constitutions and signing students up for a conservative student organization.
* Administrators told the activists that asking students if they "like freedom and liberty" was disruptive because students "don't know that they can say 'see ya later.'"
* The Alliance Defending Freedom has now filed a federal lawsuit against KCC, accusing the school of violating both the First and the Fourteenth Amendments.

Kellogg Community College is being sued after campus police arrested three conservative activists and college students while they were handing out pocket Constitutions and signing students up for a conservative student organization.

As detailed in video footage obtained exclusively by Campus Reform, a KCC student and two fellow conservative activists spent two to three hours handing out Constitutions and recruiting for a Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) chapter on campus in September before they were accosted by administrators and ultimately arrested for trespassing.

The three activists in the video are Nathan Berning, a Stanford student and employee of the Leadership Institute; Isaac Edikauskas, vice president of Michigan State YAL; and Shelly Gregoire, president of Kellogg YAL.

They were first stopped by Drew Hutchinson, the manager of Student Life at KCC, who told them they couldn’t approach students outside or engage them in conversation because it could “obstruct the student’s ability to get an education.”

“We ask that you don’t do it in the middle of everything, and part of that is because if we obstruct the student’s ability to get an education then it kind of becomes counterintuitive to the whole, um, right to speak, kind of Second Amendment rights [sic],” Hutchinson explained, intending to cite the First Amendment.

The activists explained that they weren’t physically stopping students, and were allowing students to decide whether to stop and talk, with Gregorie stating that “[when] we’ve had people who have said they’re not interested, we don’t go after them.”

Hutchinson denied that students could make the decision not to stop, asserting that “these students also don’t know that they can say ‘see ya later.’”

Edikauskas then asked a student walking by if he “likes freedom and liberty.” The student replied, “sure” and stopped to talk to Edikauskas.

Hutchinson, however, declared that this action broke the Student Code of Conduct because the student was on their way to “educational places,” and the question, “Do you like freedom and liberty?” was too “provocative.”

“You’re asking them a provocative question in which you are instigating whether they are American or not. It’s a very powerful question,” Hutchinson said, arguing that the “social pressures” of such a question would compel the students to stop.

The activists and Hutchinson continued to debate school policy until Hutchinson eventually exclaimed in exasperation that “I’m digging myself into a hole here!”

Berning told Campus Reform that about twenty minutes later, a security officer came up to the group and asked them why they hadn’t left campus, to which they responded that they felt as though the request violated their First Amendment rights.

Shortly thereafter, the activists were surrounded by several campus police officers and the Chief of Police, Harold West, who told them they were violating student conduct and that they would either have to leave the premises or move to a predetermined indoor location.

“Essentially what we’re asking you to do is comply and leave and get the proper permits,” West demanded. “Yes we do have civil rights, you have liberties, you have [the] First Amendment. However, when they start violating other people’s rights that’s when it starts to run into a problem.”

When Berning asked what rights they were violating, West responded, “You’re violating the school structure.”

A female police officer then explained to Gregoire that being arrested puts her academic career in jeopardy, and Gregoire responded, “I am. I’m putting my nursing degree in jeopardy.”

After the activists refused to leave the premises, the male police officer told them that they would be arrested and sent to jail for trespassing.

“I think we would be best off to handle it in court. Let the judicial system handle it,” said West.

Berning told Campus Reform that the three activists looked at each other, thinking, “I can’t believe this is happening.”

The activists were then placed under arrest and taken to jail.

Berning noted that while he was fully prepared to “stand up for the First Amendment” that day, he never expected that it would lead to an actual arrest.

“We knew what we were doing, we knew this could create change, but we didn’t go into it thinking we were going to get arrested. I thought they would just escort us off of campus,” he explained. “Once they said to us that they were going to arrest us, it just became a matter of principle that I was not going to leave”

“We were exercising our first amendment rights and they took us to jail for it and that showed me how important what we’re doing is,” Edikauskas told Campus Reform. “I would do it again in a heartbeat.”

“They’re telling me I can’t talk on a college campus; that’s ridiculous,” Berning concluded.

The Alliance Defending Freedom, a legal organization that advocates for constitutional rights and religious liberty, has filed a lawsuit against KCC alleging that the actions of administrators and campus police officers violated the First and Fourteenth Amendments.

"Free speech is a right, not a privilege that can be censored by university officials on a public campus," ADF points out in a press release. "If public universities silence free speech on campus, they deny their students opportunities for engagement and learning. If public universities stifle these learning opportunities on campus, they impair a student's ability to function in the real world."

KCC tweeted this Diversity bullshit:

Meanwhile, a lawsuit was filed against KCC recently. Hope Mr. Trump will do something about this widespread problems across college campuses where Conservative students or speakers were treated unfairly.

[url=http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/college-students-handing-out-constitutions-get-arrested/article/2612243]College students handing out Constitutions get arrested

By JUSTIN HASKINS, CONTRIBUTOR • 1/18/17 3:15 PM

In a lawsuit filed in federal court on Wednesday, students at Kellogg Community College, a small public college located in Battle Creek, Mich., claim their constitutional rights were violated when they were arrested and forced to spend a night in county jail for refusing to stop handing out pocket Constitutions on school grounds in September 2016.

According to the complaint, filed on the students' behalf by the Alliance Defending Freedom, Michelle Gregoire, Brandon Withers, and three other students "tried to distribute pocket-size copies of the United States Constitution in an open, generally accessible area of the campus outside the Binda Performing Arts Center," but they were told to stop their efforts because "they had not first obtained a permit and because expression was only permitted in one location."

Gregoire and Withers, both members of Young Americans for Liberty, a national student organization promoting constitutional conservatism, then made the mistake of engaging "interested students in conversation about liberty on campus," which led to KCC officials demanding they stop because they were "impeding students' access to education." Gregoire and Withers "politely informed KCC officials that they planned to continue to exercise their First Amendment rights." Withers and two others were subsequently placed in handcuffs, forced to spend the night in county jail, and charged with trespassing.

The charges were soon dropped, but KCC's message was clear: Free speech is not welcome on campus, especially if you're conservative.

"Campus security literally showed up to the YAL chapter's national Fight for Free Speech campaign event and arrested students for peaceably handing out pocket Constitutions," said Cliff Maloney Jr., president of Young Americans for Liberty, in a statement. "Remember, this is a public, American tax-payer funded community college. A place that is supposed to not only uphold the Bill of Rights, but set an example for its students. Yet, the administration's actions are a direct violation of the First Amendment. Who knew the Constitution was so controversial? Time in the slammer for handing out pocket constitutions? This is insane."

Insane, indeed, but what else should we expect in higher education when conservative speakers are being banned, boycotted, or silenced on college campuses for expressing pro-liberty views and when "safe spaces" and "trigger words" are encouraging college administrations to limit free speech to specific areas. Is speech really "free" if people are only allowed to say what they want in areas chosen by those in power and only at appointed times?

The KCC administration is clearly no friend to liberty, but it's obviously not a friend of diversity, either, unless you, as so many college administrations do, define "diversity" as only those views that fall under the Left's umbrella of appropriate ideas. Sure, if you're a member of Black Lives Matter or handing out communist manifestos, no problem! You're welcome to spew all the nonsense you want. But don't you dare try to hand out copies of the Constitution, the law of the land. Doing so apparently prevents students from gaining an "access to education."

Call me crazy, but I think students need all the "access" to the Constitution they can get, especially on a college campus that's willing to throw people in jail for talking about freedom. This is a funhouse-mirror distortion of what our country used to be. We should all support student-heroes like the YAL members at Kellogg Community College who were willing to stand up to oppressive powers and defiantly say, "No, we have rights, too, and we're not going to let you take them away from us."

From The Gateway Pundit:
Quote:Quote:

[url=http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2017/01/indoctrination-philly-teachers-introduce-black-lives-matter-content-lesson-plans-curriculum/]INDOCTRINATION: Philly Teachers Introduce Black Lives Matter Content Into Lesson Plans, Curriculum

Teaching Black Lives Matter Content Sparks Outrage

A liberal activist group within the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers is planning to introduce pro-Black-Lives-Matter content into the curriculum at all grade levels. The name of the radical liberal group is The Caucus of Working Educators and they’ve called for a “Black Lives Matter Week of Action,” which is set to start Jan. 23 and run through Jan. 28

From The Philly Inquirer:
The lessons are not mandatory, and in fact not sponsored or sanctioned either by the school system or the PFT. It’s up to individual teachers whether they participate and how, from wearing T-shirts to engaging students in lessons.

So according to this it appears that the school system has not even approved this material to be taught in classrooms yet the radical teachers will teach it anyway.

An open letter from the radical activists states that their purpose is:
“these goals are vital for educators, parents, students, and all communities in order to…
- create a space for introspection and dialogue around the 13 guiding principles;
- build deeper connections between educators, parents, students, and community organizations;
- stand in support of national organizing supporting Black Lives Matter;
- empower students and student groups to play a leading role in this week and moving forward.

Not everyone is thrilled about teaching Black Lives Matter in schools. One teacher who said he believes in equal rights says that Black Lives Matter has no place in the school system and that the movement “challenges nuclear families” as well as “the justice system.”

A couple of other news media are also covering this story. (i.e., Breitbart and The Philadelphia Tribune)

I wouldn't worry much about Hollywood leftists anymore, their days are numbered. Studios are hemorrhaging cash, among a myriad of other problems wiping out the money behind movie stars.

This article details how fucked Hollywood is.
http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/01/w...ready-over

I think VERY few actors are making more than 200k per year.

Remember during Johnny Depp's divorce it showed Amber Heard only made 250k last year, and she's very well known. I imagine the vast majority of TV actors, supporting roles etc are lucky to break 150k a year.

Only the top few are legit millionaires and due to the shift in movie consumption, fewer young ones will have long careers like Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep, etc... the movie star will go the way of the rockstar.
Most are desperate rats hoping their leftist devotion can land them a bit part, which after taxes and agent fees probably pays them just enough to live on.

Ghostbusters contributed to Sony's billion-dollar loss write-down, then Ben Affleck's 'live by night' took it up the ass to the tune of a 50+ million dollar loss. http://www.cinemablend.com/news/1618410/...we-thought

^^^ last years box office was a new record and this year it will probably break that. There is a record of over 180 tv shows produced in network/cable/streaming spending more money then ever to produce them. There is actually a content boom with the streamers over paying for original content while also handing the studio's billions per year for their library content.

They have been saying this for a while and it just hasn't happened. Yes streamers have created a major disruption to the industry because its now hard to quantify content and place a dollar amount on things that used to be easy but to conclude that "hollywood is dying" is extremely naive. It takes thousands of people to produce a film and hundreds that work on an average scene in a mediocre show. That doesn't even include months of pre-production involving many people. It only takes a dj, a sound room, a vocal artist to crank out a cool song. Of course that industry was gonna be fucked.

Not even taking into account the films they produce themselves, Netflix is also outbidding at every film market and in the future will have an extensive original library it can be proud off and re-use for additional content. However i can't see, even in 5 years, that consumers will gladly pay netflix solely for their original content unless they flat out buy the studio's 100 year library content which they can't afford assuming its for sale. Also if netflix "produces" a show and they hire everyone from showtimes, isn't that still hollywood? What defines hollywood? Amazon studios and netflix studios have both located in LA, and facebook is pushing their content strategy in LA, Youtube has set up youtube studios in Venice. Does it matter if a show doesn't thave NBC produced in front of it?

There is alot of fat, mostly due to the unions, one of the key reasons for the Leftist plague in hollywood. When ever they cut a "middle man" another job is usually created. Its what happened when they switched from film to digital, or from production design to visual effects. The vfx jobs actually pay way more and you need hundreds of vfx artists in a heavy vfx film which is now basically every tent pole film.

To conclude, i wouldn't say its dying, just changing. Unless we define hollywood as: the big 6 studios, 3 mini majors, and their tv network subsidiaries.

Unchecked report coming from Saudi Arabia:
Quote:Quote:

According to emerging reports from Yemen, a surface-to-surface missile fired by the Yemeni Army has hit the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The missile was launched on Sunday evening, and sources in Yemen have described the missile test as successful. It is unclear exactly what missile was used, and casualty figures, if any, are yet to be reported.

Saudi Arabia militarily intervened in the Yemeni Conflict in 2015, leading a coalition of almost 10 Middle Eastern countries. In October 2016, a Yemeni activist warned that Riyadh was the next target for a Yemeni missile attack.

Update 1: More information has emerged, suggesting that the missile was a variant of a Russian Scud missile, known as the “Borkan” surface-to-surface missile.

Update 2: Sources indicate that the missile struck a military base West of Riyadh, in Mazahimiyah.

Update 3: On social media, a Saudi attempts to cover-up the attack, saying that the sound of the explosion in Riyadh was an earthquake or meteor.

Update 4: Co-Founder of Mona Relief, a Yemeni charity, Dr. RS Karim, has reported that his contacts in Riyadh told him that a state of emergency has been declared.

Yes and no. The overwhelming majority of actors in SAG (Screen Actors Guild) make jack shit. Nothing at all, usually. But there are a lot of people on television that make a lot of money, most of whom you wouldn't recognize.

Working actors at the series regular level (main characters), will clear 200k easily, for the most part. Standard rates for a new actor on a network sitcom are 20k a week, with a 22-week season. If you're on a hit show, it could be ten times that.

Shit, I know guys making 100k a year doing a few commercials. 4-5 days of work, tops.

But it's definitely not like the old days.

Politics & War Lounge - Simeon_Strangelight - 02-08-2017

< Hollywood is changing.

There will be more telenovela-long TV shows of multiple seasons and massive production value, since it is now ever cheaper to do that without very expensive crews.

Box-Office numbers are misleading since they ramped up the prices and Asia equalized some flow. It will decrease in viewership, but entertainment of high quality will continue.

Hollywood is now bad due to all the propaganda, feminism, globalism, pro-refugee stance, etc - they literally have to push so much shit down our throats, that it often disrupts the stories. Also some movies are made out of some crazy idiotic notion that folk would love to see Ben Hur or the Lone Ranger - or a feminist version of the Ghostbusters.

When they push away good storytellers and replace them with propaganda-apparatchicks, then this is what they get.

Either way - there will be a gazillion shows produced - maybe the field will be more level with scores of folk making 100-200k while only fewer stars make millions. The industry is changing, but you have to realize that the propaganda must keep on flowing - Hollywood or a future new Chinese version of it must produce content that is to distract and indoctrinate the herd. If it gets too crappy, then no one will be watching it and that is a no-go.

So the globalists rather make 50 bio. $ minus each year before accepting a total demise. Spending a few billions in order to have your next generation of useful idiots well-indoctrinated is nothing.
