How would you rock a Thai school uniform? -

This summer I will be studying for a semester abroad in Bangkok and I want to upgrade my wardrobe to stick out from other students. Here are the official requirements:
Quote:Quote:
Students have to wear the following uniform:
- Shirt: white with sleeves and collar, no design
- Trousers: long, made out of black or dark blue cloth, polite style with no design
- Socks
- Shoes: dark dress shoes
Here are my thoughts:
- Shirt: I will get 5
tailor made white shirts with long sleeves in my first week in Bangkok. Any tips how I can vary the shirts (maybe different collars or a different length)? I don't want to buy 5 shirts that look exactly the same.
- Trousers: One pair of black slim fit trousers (maybe also tailor made), the other pair I am not sure yet. I own a pair of dark blue dress pants. Would that be too formal?
- Shoes: I already own a pair of black dress shoes but they are nothing special. I want to buy a new pair of shoes that I can also use for a dark blue suit. Any recommendations? Ideally, I want to buy dark boots (maybe dark brown?) that can be worn in a hot and humid country like Thailand and that can pass as dress shoes for university (if I wear long enough pants) but also look stylish and not too formal when I wear them on a night out with rolled up denim jeans.
- Tie: A tie is not mandatory and I reckon that most exchange student are not going to wear one. The locals students do wear ties. Should I wear one and if so, what kind of tie? I feel like a dark, thin one would look good since I will not be wearing a jacket.
- Watch: I really need to get a watch regardless of the exchange semester. Anyone know a stylish watch with a leatherband that is not too expensive?
- Any other tips how I can pimp a Thai school uniform within the university's requirements? Maybe some accessories that I have missed?

French cuff contrast collar
Get braces for your pants.

The younger school boys in BKK wear the worst looking outfits ever... shorts with big brown socks and ugly brown shoes. I think its part of a campaign to prevent teen pregnancy and STDS, cause they aint getting lid looking like that.

Shirt: spread collar, no front pocket, no placket. Sleek.

Black or brown dress shoes? I would actually prefer brown but I am afraid that I must wear a black university belt which would make brown shoes to black pants look horrible. What do you think about this style (belt + pants + shoes + watch):

Different collars: Cutaway, spread, mandarin, straight, Boateng
Different fabric weaves: Oxford, poplin, satin, filafil
Different buttons/threads: Sky blue buttons with white threads, black buttons with maroon threads, mother-of-pearl buttons with red threads, etc.
Mix and match as desired.

Being a cracka in a Thai University Outfit will make you 'stand out' more than enough surely?
Btw, I hope you're going to RANGSIT

That's a great looking style, hard to go wrong with something like that. And properly sized slim (but not tight) fitting clothes won't be uncomfortable in Thailand's heat.

You could rock black suede chelsea boots, which is what I currently wear:
Or go for casual brogues:
Or a doc marten boot:

if you are doing more walking
Depends on your style.
If you are jacked why not go for short sleeve shirts? Add some accessories - beads, watch or tatts?

Something like this will look sharp with your dark blue trousers. Never with black trousers though.

Go for an open-laced shoes as opposed to the closed lace shoe above if you want it to look more casual.
