Surprised I couldn't find a thread on this.
Post your favorite riddims and songs from the above genres and imagine you're on the islands sippin' on some Red Stripe with a sweet creole honey taking a nap next to you tired after a long night of brutal backshots.
Jah Bless!
Reggae
Ragga

Was listening to this just this morning. Love roots and dub reggae. Black Uhuru, Aswad, Burning Spear, Steel Pulse, and so on. Don't really like Dancehall (except maybe very early stuff) or Soca.

Got limited exposure to these genres of music, but I've been fortunate enough to see both of these groups live on tour:
Bob Marley and UB40 - their music puts a smile on my face

Love the tracks fellas, keep 'em coming.
Do African reggae tracks count too or is this thread island flavour only? I'm a big fan of Tiken Jah Fakoly aka Cote d'Ivoire's #1. Chill tracks with good riddim and sang in the language of love:
I'm also into Carioca Funk which has African/reggae roots. This is a popular one and it's the sound track from the famous Brazilian movie "Tropa de Elite" starring Wagner Moura (the guy who plays Pablo Escobar in Narcos). Bumpin' party track:

Brusco and Konshens (just a straight-up summer jam)
Gioman e Killacat (Italians but this song always gets me amped)
Cultura Profética (great song to sing to a chick, great line in general [Te conozco de antés=I know you from before] simple, vague, somewhat mysterious)

Heard this out recently and the girls were loving it. Bajan accent always makes me laugh as it sounds so much like the west country accent (Bristol, etc.):

Ain't no one remember this riddim out here?
School days been good with that riddim.
Speaking about new school dancehall, Alkaline lock it down:
Alkaline sing good pon the "Mi Luv fi fuck you baby, mi nuh beat a gyal, cocky go up inna yuh pussy mi nuh wan fi tek it out" but the part he sing about Batty Wash got some people wondering if he closet gay.
Sizzla song good when you just break up with a chick

Great track from the Scientist:
Dub Influenced Jam from Calibre:
A lot of the Drum & Bass heads dabble in Dub / Dancehall vibes. These releases go completely under the Radar for a lot of people so I'll list a few below in the hopes someone gets a head nod out of them.

For all the men out there who live and travel solo in search of the elusive PP, which can have the unhealthy side effect of having no true male friends left.
