giving advice about a place you haven't been - Off The Reservation - 08-30-2015

I have seen a few posts where someone who has not been to a certain place is giving advice about that place. Usually with statements like "I haven't been to ___ but you should ____ over there." Allright, ask some questions about a place or confirm what you have heard but telling someone what to do about it?

Whats up with that???

Real nuisance would be, giving advice (falsely) pretending to have been somewhere...

So, as long as the poster openly admits he has not been to location X... it's kinda okey, even though personally I wouldn't even read his posts...
