The thing I'm requesting may not even exist, but what's the furniture-equivalent to the masculine-style.com blog?

I don't have a good alternative for you, but I was reading the Masculine Style blog and came across
this article that mentions a bit of interior design. You might want to check it out if you haven't seen it before.

Thanks for asking on my behalf MMX2010.
Hey guys, fantastic meeting everyone who went to the NYC event.
I'm moving into a new apartment, and have some expendable income. You can always find some furniture suggestions in GQ and Esquire and other magazines like that, but there doesn't seem to be an "apartment therapy" blog dedicated solely to the theory of male expression in his dominion. Someone should really get on that...

I am in the process of furnishing my loft so I feel you pain in looking for some help. I have not found exactly what you are looking for. A few options I have found for some ideas...
http://www.houzz.com - or - download the houzz app.
Type in bachelor, masculine, etc... in to the search.

If you plan on doing the interior design yourself it might be useful to watch this BBC show explaining certain design rules.

I would spend a good amount of time deciding what company you want to buy from first and then pick from what they have. Since you are in NYC you have a million options and nothing beats going into a store and seeing it in person.
If anyone else can chime in on helpful websites I would appreciate it as well.

I want to recommend something.
Whatever furniture you get, buy it at costco. You have a lifetime satisfaction warranty. So once you get tired of a piece of furniture, you just return it for a full refund, no questions asked. I've returned lamps, couches, computer desk, office chairs and all type of shit 4 years after I bought it. Same goes for luggage, that zipper is going to rip off in a year, might as well return it for a refund when that happens and get a brand new one.

This seems to good to be true. Have you recently returned something that you had that long? A little bit of googling led me to this

An electric piano is electronics. That's different. And yes, I just returned a computer desk that I had for four years. Didn't need a receipt because they keep everything in their system. I also returned some pots and pans that I've had for a few years also to get a new set. And some frozen fish I've had for a few months because it smelled when I opened the bag

Definitely houzz.com
Also, try apartment therapy. You just have to search through the more female-oriented and gay-oriented designs to get to the cool stuff.

For buying furniture as opposed to design inspiration:
Allmodern.com
gilt.com
Both have great stuff. I'd recommend the modloft brand for bachelor pad style uber modern furniture.

http://www.costco.com/furniture.html
Any more ideas?

Playboy Magazine published a lot of articles concerning architecture/bachelor pads in the '60s. They asked architects etc. to construct homes fitted to the playboy lifestyle. Although many of the drafts are over the top regarding attainability for regular guys, there are certainly parts which everyone can adapt for their personal needs.

Not especially related to architecture, but an entertaining "recipe" how a playboy's night evolves at his pad accompanied by a woman.

And a book regarding masculine architecture: "Stud: Architectures of Masculinity". I just stumbled upon it and it seems to be more theoretically (contains only essays from architectures plus a few renders/pictures of actual architecture). Haven't read it but eventually someone of you is interested in that topic.
