Place to visit for Christmas and NYE - fnatic - 07-08-2015

Hey all,

I wanna visit a city in Europe for some days with a friend over Christmas and New Year, so about 10 days in total. What would you guys recommend us?

We speak german and english and are from Germany, so a city within Germany is not an option.

What do you thing which city (cities) are best for these days to meet some hot girls and do some sightseeing and party?

We were thinking about:
- Budapest
- Stockholm
- Lisbon
- Warsaw. Krakaw
- Reykjavik (but flights are soooo expensive that time)
Do you have other recommendations or experiences with those cities above?

Thanks for your answers [Image: smile.gif]

You should consider an orthodox country where they celebrate Christmas in January. People tend to spend the Christmas days with their families. Nightlife options will be small in Western Europe and fewer girls are around. For example you could go to Belgrade, Serbia.

Alternative would be a Muslim place, example Istanbul.

I plan on visiting Switzerland in Christmas time. Hopefully the major ski towns like Interlaken and Zermatt will be popping. For NYE it's either Amsterdam or Berlin, depending on what my friends are up to.

I have a 5 day travel window over Christmas weekend before heading to Costa Rica for a wedding over New Years weekend. I'm looking for a place to go in Mexico/Central/South America over xmas where there'll be a decent party atmosphere. I assume a popular vacation spot on the beach would be my best bet, but would greatly appreciate any thoughts/advice. Thanks guys

Im curious about this too, traveling from Western Europe to a cheap enough location during Christmas/NYE that won't be completely worthless due to girls being with their families. Obviously Thailand is a good option but the time and expense involved make it less than desirable.

Nothing seems obvious but off the top of my head I thought about:

Greece
Morocco
the Canary Islands
Senegal
Egypt
Kenya.

Anyone been to these countries late Dec/ early Jan?
