I used to believe that Islamic violence against the West was justified because of Western military action in the Muslim world.
Obviously we have meddled in their world a lot, have had wars and bombing campaigns whenever we felt like it, etc.
And yet they attack cartoonists and newspaper writers instead of, say, embassies.
For instance, Al Qaeda's attack on a U.S. embassy makes sense in terms of, they are upset at U.S. military involvement in the Muslim world and so they retaliate against the projection of U.S. power abroad.
These people are driving me more and more to consider that we should simply not let Muslims into Western countries because they are so over-sensitive and hyper-reactive they cannot abide by cartoons without killing people.

tv2news, danish main news channel calling it an assassination attempt.
No mentions of the 1 or 2 terrorists being muslims.
A bartender at "krudttønden" witnessed the shooting saying that the terrorists shouted something "in a language he doesn't understand"
It's as if the media and witnesses are afraid to mention that the "assassins" were acting in the name of the muslim faith.

This is truly messed up how every politician keeps on defendin Islam. I have several Muslim friends that keeps on mentioning how the scripture is messed up. And unlike some they are not afraid of criticising the scriptures even though they have received death treats. How come our politicians keeps bending over to islamist. The only way to reduce the threat is to openly critize it but nobody haa the balls to do it

Their hypersensitivity? Or questioning the basic compatibility of their ideology with a western liberal democratic society? the percentages of Muslims who support sharia as the law of the land alone should make you question this. Voltaire famously said he would die protecting someone's right to say something he disagreed with. These philosophies are diametrically opposed.
I have Muslim friends who are perfectly good people and emigrated to the west simply for economic opportunity. They are smart, educated people who deserve an opportunity. But for people who have no talent or education, who are admitted for reasons of asylum or particularly in Western Europe as an apology for centuries old imperialism, where does that lead? Look at France, or Scandinavia, or even Michigan. Clusters of poor people living off the government with few job prospects, fertile breeding ground for extremism.
We can thank our politicians for the multicultural rainbow experiment.
