This is a RVF census, I'd be curious to know where most of the active users hail from , my intuition says the anglosphere but I'd be curious to see the answers...

What does "from" mean though?
I was born in England to a brit father and swedish mother. Grew up in the U.S. 3 passports. Slightly fucked accent.
If you pressed me, I'd say I was American. But it feels a bit odd saying it.

I am Russian. There is no right answer. Anything east than Germany, it will be Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania. Russia is not Eastern Europe, Russia is Eurasia, it is a separate concept, a different mentality.

I am Ukrainian background but family from Russia so this topic is very relevant to me. You are right about the Europe thing. This area has no asian feature to it. Best argument is all of Europe is unique. Germany/England/ netherlands etc is in a common area that is unique from the latin areas like Italy and Spain. and the Slavic areas are also quite different from those other 2. But they are just 3 distinct areas of Europe, none being any more or less european than the other 2.
