Could this app become a useful game tool while traveling? The app's design looks quite a bit like tinder's. You can set up your trip in advance and pipeline locals or other travelers who will coincide with your trip, which should lend itself well to our goals. You can also set yourself up in a location as a local and go for visiting HBs.
I see two main issues with the app: first, lack of user adaptation, this is hardly a slam dunk app while tinder has been established for years. Second, the system of connection through facebook. There is a chat feature as with tinder, but evidently when you like someone the connection is immediately moved to facebook ("If two users 'like' each other - a connection is made, via Facebook").

Who really would use such an app? People who want to get laid. And they'll just keep using Tinder. For anything else, there's already Couchsurfing, Meetup.com etc. This will fail.

Couchsurfing is owned by airbnb if I recall correctly. If this app gains steam, maybe couchsurfing should buy them out and integrate it into their own site.
I think I'll sign up for it. What the hell, no reason not too if it's free. You never know what may come through.
...ah nevermind. No Android version for now.

Not a bad tool though. I honestly think it could be better integrated into the meetups App. But an idea is an idea
