High Speed Internet in Tampa - Verizon or Brighthouse? - Moma - 10-27-2014

I am trying to reduce my monthly bill and I currently have Verizon FIOS for Internet. I have home phone and internet as a bundle but the monthly bill is too high so I want to remove home phone. Removal of home phone only reduces my bill about 6 dollars a month and the agent not really working with me so I am thinking to go with Brighthouse for internet instead.

I currently have 50/50 (50mb upload/50mb download). What would be my best options?

Bright house will troll you. Who else are you expecting here?

I would buy a galaxy tab and do speed tests then tether.

Switching to bright house is like selling your soul.

They will cap me at 5GB of tethering.

Bright House is terrible, definitely stay with Verizon. See about downgrading your speed, or maybe even threaten to quit.

I'm paying $65 a month for 50/25, and that includes 5 bucks for the router that I don't care to buy. It would be $85 but I'm getting $20 off per month for a year.
