The title says it all, I'll take anything you guys have, but I'm mostly looking for book suggestions and such. Over the course of this school year, I'll be writing a 30 page thesis on this topic (How feminism destroyed/is destroying the West) and presenting it orally at the end of the school year.

I agree The Rational Male is very good on the psychological-scientific side of red pill truths. But for feminism in general you may want to look at the Chataue Heartisite and to maybe get a passing grade look at other mainstream "conservative" commentators on the subject-particularly women writers not because their better but because you need a good grade. Also comment on the "growing" ([Image: icon_question.gif]) Women Against Feminism "campaign" and the Mens' Rights Movement.

And be careful when referencing/mentioning things related to RoK, Roosh, Game, and "PUA" though that is helpful to us in an academic context it will be viewed as bizarre at best, and misogynistic and hateful at worst, which will most definitely effect your grade and reputation in these hyper-progressive colleges (not sure how truly liberal your college is). Any way that's my 2 cents.

In general I've never written a thesis before, but must you cite other theories/ writers? Can you look at raw data yourself to craft a compelling analysis?

It may not be something you want to cite, or something you would be proud to admit you read, but Eric Rudolph (the Olympic Park bomber serving a life sentence in federal prison) wrote a decent essay on the subject. Say what you will about his politics but he got this much right.

Depending on who's reading it, that could be detrimental to your grade. Pathetic really, but I've had female (and even male) teachers that would take exception to such a topic.

Writing grades are all based off opinion, if you don't care about grades (as I don't really) then go right ahead, at least someone will definitely get a kick out of it.

If you want to focus it a little, you could talk about how the breakdown of the family and increase in divorce has led to increasing social problems such as crime and poor life results from children raised out of wedlock, and psychological problems for women who do not form families to begin with. Further, children born to older parents have higher risks for all sorts of diseases.

The cornerstone could be research showing single women are the least happy group out tuere, and married women are the happiest.

You do the research but find numbers for divorce over the past 60 years, numbers for children born out of wedlock, and the educational achievement, propensity towards crime, likeliehood to hold a job and likeliehood to end up in jail of children born out of wedlock to children born to married parents.

Research the overall fertility of western countries compared to Muslim or African countries, showing that our society is being replaced by low birth rates.

Contrast feminist art with great patriarchal art. The greatest works of history contrasted with menstrual blood strewn objects.

The startling statistics of young single women on anti-psychotics,for anxiety, depression, and contrast married women who are happy and mentally sound

Include anecdotes of bitter old women lamenting never having children.

Another angle you could take is the unfair treatment of men and women by our legal system. Men are of course more likely to be arrested or jailed than women by a factor of about 50. Men and women who are accused and convicted of the same crime are not punished equally, notably in sex crimes, as exemplified by woken who sleep with minors and get off scott free or with small sentences. But really, a woman convicted of any crime, murder, robbery, will be sentebced to a much lighter sentence than a man.

This plays on their ideas of fairness and has a clear parallel that they already accept, in that black and hispanic men have the same issue relative to white men. No doubt your professors believe it unjust that a black man faces stiffer penalties than a white man for the same crime. They should find it equally unfair that men face stiffer penalties than woen for the same crime.

I would echo the caution here.

If you want to do it, go with a smaller facet and absolutely have your references and facts on lock. For example, divorce or domestic violence statistics. Do not reference the manosphere.

If you make it tight as a drum, you MAY be able to escape getting a worse grade than you deserve.

Honestly, I would suggest picking your battles. Be Machiavellian and hide your true opinions to get what you want rather than making yourself a target. Read the 48 Laws of Power. The meaningful "FUCK YOU!" is in 5 years when you take your location-independent income and have a harem of 18 year olds in Thailand, not setting yourself up to be made an example of by some pathetic loser teachers.

I don't want to say you're fucking yourself over, but...

1) I'm going to assume you're a social science/social studies major. The field you're entering is one where your senior thesis can make a big determination on where you work after graduation. It's a field defined by people chasing down jobs after graduation, not getting job offers. It's a fantastic time to get some limited experience in an over crowded field - going to a government agency or an NGO to do research for a thesis is a great form of flattery and networking, and you're throwing it away.

2) I don't know what school you're at, but I can't imagine things have changed too much since I graduated, and hopefully academic standards are still something professors cling to. A thesis usually requires either primary sources, or academic, peer reviewed secondary sources. Lots of sources. Quoting blogs and opinion pieces won't go over too well, nor should it.

3) Ideally a thesis is something you want to research and will help prove your worth as a scholar. Choosing a topic that simply conforms to your personal paradigm is a waste of your time for a work you'll have to put so much effort into. Challenge yourself.

4) If you decide to go ahead with this, I'd start looking for scholarly work by feminists analyzing feminism itself. Look at the marginalization of minority/underserved community women in the west, lack of feminist voices from the global south, etc...

5) Expect your profs to reject your thesis proposal. You'll also risk getting hate from student groups and your peers. Hell, you may even risk someone drawing you up for disciplinary action.

Marriage decline might be feasible, especially if qualitative sources were tied with GSS survey data. Approaching it from a "feminism is destroying western culture" outlook is damn near doomed from the get go, though. The problem with the destroying culture topic is you'd have to establish western culture as originally being free from any form of feminism, then proving western cultures decline, then offering forth evidence of feminism as being the cause of the decline. Defending feminism as the direct cause of, and not a correlation of the decline would be difficult because there likely isn't that much research he could cite specifically backing him.

This would likely be doctoral research rather than undergrad senior thesis work.

You would be better off arguing that second-wave feminism is a manifestation of the decline of the American psyche- a key point made in "The Culture Of Narcissism."

However, like others have said, you are opening a can of hateful worms. No ideology is more sacrosanct on college campuses than feminism.

Honestly, the more on point you are (drawing on pscyhological research that shows that two-parent homes produce healthier children than one-parent homes, straight-up debunking of feminist theory) the more hate and ire you will draw. For most left-wing professors, feminism need not be justified because it necessarily is on point about its claims. Hell, calling it an ideology is offensive to them.

If you really want to ruffle some feathers, argue its a religion and then use the book "When Religion Becomes Evil" by Charles Kimball.

His five warning signs:

1. Absolute Truth Claims
2. Blind Obedience
3. Establishing The Ideal Time
4. The End Justifies Any Means
5. Declaring Holy War

I will mostly likely be doing an ROK post on this sooner rather than later.

Another angle you could take that might fly right under their radar but be worth massive lulz from us would be to research the popularity of carousels, or the ownership rate of cats by different demographic segments. Your professors might think the topic a little obscure, but they probably wouldn't be in on the joke. You could write the whole thing as though it were serious and scholarly, but you could embed a whole lot of manosphere memes in there.
