FFS.

Is the entire West just rotting?

You can rely on Schiff to spot these things and contrast it with sane descriptions of reality.

Was considering moving the CA for work. Just one more reason not to.

Doesn't sound like it's any different from current policy which just takes the girl's statement as fact and expels the guy with no evidence. Although putting it into law is a good way to make it a lot harder to actually reform anything. I'd say the big question is given that college campuses are one of the least probable places to get raped, why are lawmakers putting effort into this shit?

They have to do something! Anything! Don't you know we have to protect those poor precious female students from bullshit anecdotal accounts?

And you wonder why guys have approach anxiety. It's not fear of rejection anymore. It's fear of prosecution.

I imagine a lot of these lawmakers have daughters and they can't imagine that there precious, innocent little girl would ever have sex unless she were raped. His lawmaking power will protect her and all the other daughters and he will be praised and loved by all the women.

Meanwhile, he's banging his interns in the filing room two at a time. Eventually they will cash their chip in and claim sexual harassment in order to get some paid time on the talk shows along with a nice settlement from the political party.

This applies to college campus only. However, not sure this is actually worse than the current situation. How can verbal consent be proved if it's not recorded? Today you have she said/he said, and they will believe the girl. Is the only difference that silence = no instead of yes now? Seems like it won't make any substantial difference.

This guy knows how to bulldoze LMR.

I never thought I would see Peter Schiff giving game/LMR advice.

Wish someone would just post the text of the new law rather than some rambling guy on video.

A lot of us, especially overseas, have metered bandwidth. Time is always valuable; get to the point.

Oh, ok, I'll do it: here's the law: https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces...20140SB967

The headline is misleading: This law does not "redefine" or change the criminal law standard for rape. At most, it changes some colleges' policies for misconduct review. Not even that, really.

Bottom line: a posing/posturing "feel good" bill with little or no legal effect.

Eventually, in the year 27XX, they will have redefined rape so much to the point that it returns to its original definition: a man overpowers a screaming woman and fucks her against her will.
